A Perfect Drama that Nails it's Concept
I was thoroughly excited for this drama when it was announced, I've been looking forward to a modern Kim So-hyun drama for awhile and the concept really intrigued me. The drama most definitely didn't disappoint, it set itself off strong in the start really building the entire world of the drama and introducing the cast of characters. It expertly paced itself in terms of building the romance between the two leads properly timing everything. The drama also does a fantastic job in avoiding the usual trope of extending conflicts between the lead characters, every single conflict is resolved within the episode it is in or in the next episode. This allows for the dynamic and the relationship of the two leads not getting soured which can get quite tiring in other dramas.At first the introduction of the whole murder story was tiny bit confusing but the drama fit it in alongside the romance and comedy perfectly fine allowing for some seriousness which did not drag the rest down at all. I wasn't at all disappointed once during any episode, in a rarity I actually binged some episodes because I couldn't wait to watch the next episode. The whole concept of hearing lies was a really great idea and the drama did a great job in using it properly. They never really abused the concept which they definitely could have but the writers did a good job in steering clear of over using it.
Kim So-hyun and Hwang Min-hyun did a wonderful job in their portrayals of the main characters. I enjoyed how they made the characters feel real and actually personable. The writers did a wonderful job in putting some level of depth into the characters with their personalities. The rest of the cast was great from the Tarot Cafe to J Entertainment, they filled in perfectly for side scenes but didn't totally take away vital screen time.
The OST for the drama was fantastic, almost every song was instantly added to my K-Drama playlist. The production for the drama was fantastic as well with the cinematography being just right. A special thumbs up to the set designers, they matched the character's personalities so well with the apartment rooms. It's rare seeing set designers put that much effort into putting personality into a set.
I may also be biased with this but I love how they involved football in the drama, I'm a massive Liverpool supporter so when I saw that Do Ha was a Liverpool supporter I instantly connected with the character. I never thought I would ever see a James Milner kit in a K-Drama let alone his name being dropped numerous times and seeing Kim So-hyun wearing a James Milner kit too. Sure Kim So-hyun's character was a Man Utd supporter which was a big minus in my book, how could you do that to So-hyun!?
Overall the drama left me completely happy and fulfilled, I'm 100% content giving this a perfect rating of a 10/10. It did everything right and never disappointed or lingered on nonsensical stuff.

Its OK, but its a bit , do we care?
The negatives, the tropes of tramatic past, you can not get over, the fantasy premise, and the very stupid females charector that acts like a spoilt brat in her pursuit of a man she sees as hers. The there was not need for most of this because being hounded by your 'fans' and antifans is pretty traumatic enough for you to run away, this theme would have been more interesting, than the repeat childish adult wanting a man who has no romantic interest in her.The plot meanders along, which no real tension, when they did start to write the ML part, by then he was basically boring, even if you did feel sorry for him, a bit. The ML continued to have virtuall no personality throughout the whole drama, and little growth, never really says what he wants.
FL , appeared to have common sense but also pretty boring, the mother was more interesting. The FL should have had judging on the back story of her life more attitude and drive.
The couple has no UST, in any way, it was a child like relationship.
As the main driver of this drama is the pop industry, not one memorable song or tune, a big failing
It passed the hours but did I care about anyone, not really.
Failed my lift test. If you stuck in a lift for four hours, no matter how obnoxious the people are would you be interested in their story, in this case no, because not matter how extrodinary their tale, this lot would make it sound like a shopping list.

Cute Drama, definitely recommending it!
First of all, I didn‘t expect this drama to be so good. I read a lot of slightly negative reviews beforehand, especially concerning Hwang Min Hyun‘s acting skills. However, I have to say I was seriously surprised how much I liked him in this drama and I am definitely looking forward to seeing him in many more.The story is really captivating. The plot following Composer Kim Do Ha‘s secret and his blooming relationship with his neighbour keeps you on your toes. Each episode brings you closer to revealing the culprit. Well, you might have a slight suspicion who it might be, but when it was revealed, I was really devastated, because I was so much into the story.
Another aspect is the dynamic between the lead characters. The chemistry between Hwang Min Hyun and Kim So Hyun is sparkling. Them playing a couple in love was absolutely sweet. I would have liked a few more “romantic“ moments, but in the later episodes you could really feel the love they have for each other. Seo ji Hoon plays Lee Kang Min, a character I didn‘t like at first, but he grew upon me. Kim Do Ha and Lee Kang Min‘s scenes were enjoyable and their bickering and jealousy was totally convincing.
My absolute favourite character was Jo Deuk Chan. I really felt with him when his life began to crumble around him. I wanted to help him solving all his struggles so bad! :)) I also liked the side characters and their stories, especially Syaon and her bodyguard.
As a Kpop enthusiast I appreciated the music, however I think there a way better Kpop songs ;)
All in all, I really enjoyed this drama. Please give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

A decent show to keep you hooked till the end.
The characters involved are quite interesting and they have a considerate amount of depth invested to it, that's what kept me going, also the narrative is pretty smooth. The show first builds up the chemistry and understanding between the leads through some trials which they overcome by having faith in each other. Then it focus more into the mysterious murder. It's a 16 episode series, so I think it's well executed overall. The support characters did a pretty good job to maintain the consistency throughout the show. In my opinion, it's better to go into this show with medium expectation at first, depending on your personality, you might like it a lot or might be a bit disappointed like some people. But do give it a shot, highly recommended!Was this review helpful to you?

Honestly, I started watching this series because of Hwang Min Hyun. I thought I could get through anything with him in it. Then I realized that the lead actress was from Love Alarm which I HATED. So, I was a little skeptical.It started slow but at some point, I started really get into it. And I started to really like Kim So Hyun. The episodes got a lot more interesting and by the end I was binge watching back to back.
The whole mystery behind the murder was intriguing and there were so many people that could have been the culprit. I actually cried when I saw what really happened.
Plus, I felt so bad for the ex-boyfriend and what happened to him. Such a sweetheart. I didn’t recognize him from Meow, the Secret Boy which I loved.
If you watch, make sure you watch it to the very end. Great ending.

The trauma of the ml is blah, and tho I do like seo jihoon, the fact that he left without an explanation and came waltzing back in her life isn’t appealing either
I do like KSH but she’s a bit too nosy and I don’t feel any chemistry either
And I might’ve missed ep4 idk it wasn’t updated
I couldn’t even finish the ep by 47mins I was booorrrreddd

The mystery part of the drama
The Drama's been good so far, the ML and FL are very compatible they look very natural. The SFl sucks, she should know her Worth. The drama is going well so far. The past of the ML is what keeps me going. I want to know more about his past. I love the drama because it makes me want to know what happens next in the next episode. It's a developed drama though. Things are not rushed or superficial. One thing leads to another and makes the drama keep going. It's verry natural. Not complains so far as the drama is still ongoingWas this review helpful to you?

Era para ser mas não foi
Esse drama começou tão bem, logo me interessei por ele, com uma premissa nova e refrescante pensei que poderia gostar; e sim gostei muito dos 7 primeiros episódios, depois foi só ladeira a baixo, eu relamente queria que o drama focasse apaenas nas histórias de mentiras que a protagonista tinha que descobrir e não que focasse em romance, pois foi um tiro no pé essa aposta.O romance foi terrível, os protagosnistas não tinham nenhum tipo de quimica, o protagonista masculino era totalmente inexpressivo, e protagonista também não ficava atrás, como um amigo daqui disse dois pedaços de madeira tem mais quimica que esses dois . Eu tinha vontade de adiantar toda vez que tinha cena romantica em cena .
A atuação estava péssima em relacão aos protagonistas principalmente o masculino , o homem parece uma pedra de tão inexpresivo .
Devo deixar claro meu desgosto pela mãe da protagonista feminina , Deus que mulher despresível, não me venha dizer que ela era assim por determinados motivos que para mim não cola, para mim deviria ser presa ou ter um final bem solitário para pensar nas merdas que fazia. Meus olhos doiam quando ela estava em cena.
Tinha uma ótima premissa mais a execução foi péssima. Mas não é ruim ao seu todo, foi bom para passar o tempo e como eu disse o inicio foi realmente bom.

Achei a proposta do roteiro super legal e original. Os primeiros episódios foram o que me pegaram de jeito e me fizeram dizer "é, esse aqui eu preciso assistir". Depois de algum tempo, comecei a achar tedioso a história porque tudo girava em torno no assassinato da ex namorada e o casal principal ficou muito sem graça, porém, resolvi terminar porque estava perto do final e que bom que fiz isso!!Quando que eu imaginaria que o plot twist seria não o fato que o assassino era o empresário dele, mas sim, que o motivo pelo qual ele fez aquilo era por estar apaixonado pelo DoHa ???? Minha cara ficou no chão com isso! Gostei como trataram tudo e não demonizaram um personagem gay por ele ser gay, mas porque ele cometeu um crime. A história me prendeu legal a a partir disso, gostei como cada personagem secundário teve seu momento de destaque - que foi pequeno, o que é bom.

Gostaria de ter visto mais da Mok Sol Hee usando suas habilidades para descobrir as mentiras, atendendo os clientes dela etc. Depois que ela se envolve com o Kim Do Ha esse plot dos poderes é meio deixado de lado e passa a ser algo usado só em prol do Kim Do Ha, o que achei uma pena. Poderiam ter explorado isso um pouco mais. Uma ideia legal desperdiçada.
Mas no geral é um drama divertido de acompanhar.
