A nice romcom drama .... up until the last two and a half episodes!

I have to say, I started watching the drama (mainly because I recently discovered Lee Do Hyun) and I really liked the way it started. However, then from episode 14 (or maybe even 13), it took a turn in the wrong direction.
But let's do this neatly.
First of all, I liked the ML. In my opinion, he is a very good actor who could convey his character's emotions, habits, etc. quite convincingly. Sun Gyeol, his character, is not someone to be envied in this drama. He is a poor soul, suffering from childhood trauma, abuse from his tyrant grandfather, and he mother who was absent most of the time (although I liked her development).
Kim You Jung did a pretty good job as well, although she seems too young for her role. I liked her character at first, Gil O-Sol seemed to be a pretty strong young woman who didn't let failure come in her way. However, in course of this drama O-Sol turned into someone who could not speak one sensible sentence... quite annoying.
Song Jae Rim provides a strong case of second lead syndrome... I loved his character and I wanted him to end up with someone who deserves him so bad... but his "end" is so frustrating. He deserves so much better. I would really like to see him in a main role where he gets the girl.

I loved the side characters! But here is the thing, they had so so so much potential which wasn't used at all! Gil O-Dol aka Lee Do Hyun needs to have more screen time, especially more scenes with Joo Yun, they had so much chemistry and such a sweet story going on. The cleaning fairies are so funny, but also have interesting background stories, so we definitely need to know more about them!

Finally, spoiler alert:
The story develops quite ok, you have some typical k-drama tropes, but then, as I have hinted before, the story takes a dark turn. I really don't understand why they needed to break up Sun Gyeol and O-sol. And why she wasn't able to tell him why.... Sun Gyeol had absolutely not idea what was going on, but everybody left him in the dark! So frustrating and bad storytelling, I have to say. And he was completely innocent and had nothing to do with the whole tragic incident, but was made responsible. I didn't understand his grandfather as well... what exactly did he try to achieve? And why was is so easy for him to be redeemed??? This storyline wasn't believable at all. Additionally, the way Sun Gyeol was treated by O-sol and her father when he came back was sooo annoying. He didn't deserve such a rude treatment at all.

So all in all I cannot really recommend it. I watched this drama mainly because of Lee Do Hyun, I think he is amazing actor, so I don't regret the time I wasted watching, but I think there are way better romcoms out there which have better plots and more interesting characters.

Such a great drama!

This drama is really a masterpiece, especially because of Lee Do Hyun’s brilliant and convincing acting. I loved every single episode. There are a lot of flashbacks in this drama, but they really help to understand the characters’ choices and behavior.
The story is pretty interesting and it mainly focuses on the mother and her son and their relationship. The side characters are also quite funny and often function as a kind of comic relief in tense situations. I have to point out the two twins here, they’re really adorable.

Once again, Lee Do Hyun. I was completely captivated by the portrayal of Kangho. I’ve watched quite a lot of dramas, but his acting stands out.
The sad thing is that I will never experience the excitement of watching this drama for the first time again. But there will be many rewatch sessions :)
I absolutely recommend this drama!

A romcom k-drama worth watching!

OMG what a ride! This is one of the most enjoyable kdramas I‘ve watched so far.

There are only 12 episodes which I think is a big plus, stretching the story more would have made it less entertaining I guess. But like this the pace was perfect and it is ideal to binge-watch (like I did ;) ).

The main couple and also the second leads have a beautiful story and their chemistry is really sparkling. I especially liked the interaction and the focus on the friendship between the two male protagonists as well as the female protagonists.

Ahn Hyo Seop‘s acting is on point and Kim Se Jeong has become one of my favourite actresses.

So, if you‘re looking for something light-hearted, funny and romantic, you should definitely watch this drama! I highly recommend it.

Cute Drama, definitely recommending it!

First of all, I didn‘t expect this drama to be so good. I read a lot of slightly negative reviews beforehand, especially concerning Hwang Min Hyun‘s acting skills. However, I have to say I was seriously surprised how much I liked him in this drama and I am definitely looking forward to seeing him in many more.

The story is really captivating. The plot following Composer Kim Do Ha‘s secret and his blooming relationship with his neighbour keeps you on your toes. Each episode brings you closer to revealing the culprit. Well, you might have a slight suspicion who it might be, but when it was revealed, I was really devastated, because I was so much into the story.

Another aspect is the dynamic between the lead characters. The chemistry between Hwang Min Hyun and Kim So Hyun is sparkling. Them playing a couple in love was absolutely sweet. I would have liked a few more “romantic“ moments, but in the later episodes you could really feel the love they have for each other. Seo ji Hoon plays Lee Kang Min, a character I didn‘t like at first, but he grew upon me. Kim Do Ha and Lee Kang Min‘s scenes were enjoyable and their bickering and jealousy was totally convincing.

My absolute favourite character was Jo Deuk Chan. I really felt with him when his life began to crumble around him. I wanted to help him solving all his struggles so bad! :)) I also liked the side characters and their stories, especially Syaon and her bodyguard.

As a Kpop enthusiast I appreciated the music, however I think there a way better Kpop songs ;)

All in all, I really enjoyed this drama. Please give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
