Slight misses but good balance! Good to catch.

I'm glad I started on this. I started this drama without knowing what it was all about, and it ended up such a pleasant surprise.

The relationship and interaction between the main characters flows so well, and it's so good to watch them together. They have such a healthy relationship supporting and understanding each other in good times as well as in adversity. The storyline is mostly great - no melodramatic moments, no silly disagreements or misunderstandings among couples, and conflict gets resolved well and quick.

Topping it off with a captivating and natural performance by the FL (Wan Qian); doing her all, wanting to excel in her work, but not forgetting what's important to her as well - family. FL and ML had cute small reactions which were so natural, so easy to watch.

There's also the cute side character - Xiao Xi and her husband, Wang Wei - they are so supportive of each other, and definitely adds to the comedic factor in the drama.

Not going to spoil much for those who haven't watched but the parts with the producer (Feng Wen Yi) definitely irked me. A pity they let it pass quickly with him being fired without showing anything that went on there - thought it’d be a stronger plot if his doings were exposed. Second pity storyline was with Anxin’s ex-husband and “mistress”. It stopped pretty much after he was in debt and Anxin stood up to help! Would have liked to see how storyline could go in a circle.

Overall would give the story a 7/10, cast/acting 8/10! Good mix of storyline and relationships without any being under or overwhelming. Definitely some misses here and there, but still a relatively good show to catch!

Many More Misses Than Hits

Unfortunately, this one disappoints. I was drawn to the premise of a 'strong woman' finding her path, making both professional and personal strides. I can't say I was in the least bit impressed with the character of Yan Wei at all. I found her to be shallow and even a bit pretentious, and more single-minded than intuitive especially business-wise. I tried but failed to like her husband Cheng Liang's character. What a spineless dishrag! And between them, not even a spark. So much for the lead couple (Strike 1).

I grew to like and respect the second couple - An Xin & Lu Ze Ning. The major downfall with her character was that greedy, money-grubbing family of hers who made me cringe in every scene they played in. Every last one of them! (Strike 2) But there was definitely chemistry between that couple, and their story gave me the only satisfaction I got from this drama, and they were the reason my rating made it to a 6/10.

And the couple I liked least of all was Liu Xiao Xi & Wang Wei. I fast forwarded through 90% of their scenes. They were neither cute nor entertaining. She was a whiny mess most of the time, and he was just a simpleton. (Strike 3).

I would have liked to have seen the reunion between Tao Ruo Yan & Bian Cheng. I would have liked some comeuppance for that pervert Feng Wen Yi., and the smarmy GM 'Bob', and see some kind of justice for the way Xu Wen was done dirty by her company. I also would have liked the kid (Mike) to get some happiness other than mommy love.

There is something wrong with the sound on the series of videos I watched (You Tube), so I wasn't able to hear much, if any of the OST hence the low rating. You have to be able to hear the music to rate it!

No rewatch value for me. I barely made it to the end of 40 episodes with a lot of fast forwarding through scenes with characters I couldn't stand, or those who were just plain boring. So many missed opportunities in this one.

Good Drama

Some will say that there isn't enough action or not enough excitement What I say is that, it is a Drama! It is a well rounded Drama. Some people will not like it because Female Leads are strong women and they don't just become weak minded or mumbling when males come along. This drama is about women with all their flaws and mannerisms. They marry, they divorce, they love and they hate. What the have to overcome to get where they are. The developed a sisterhood. I will say they did not do very well in addressing work place sexual harassment.

A subplot about the cut throat Advertisement Industry, is an eye opening experience. It will show how linked the Industry is. The Drama shows you how Chinese society looks at age to marriage and having a child. The pressure must be immense. It also shows how Chinese society looks at divorce and the pressure of staying married, even if it's a bad marriage.

I just watched one of the most powerfullest Episodes to date. It will make your heart break and ponder why it happened. What people will do to keep their family together, is to be admired. The last 4 episodes were kind of week. They could of had explained the new GM and what happened to him.

Scenery of the countryside was great. I like the fact that the women were resolute. They knew what they wanted and was not demeaned by males. Storyline was good. There was so much chemistry among the cast, that you may thought they were neighbors.

I recommend this storyline. I will watch this again.

Not exciting enough

I tried with this drama however not exciting enough. The acting was ok but story not really that original & not enough to keep viewers going 40 episodes. Very repetitive!

Xing Fei not really convincing in the mother role, don't think she is in her element. I think Xing Fei better suited to other modern drama roles, credit she tried something different but think the theme didn't work.

Music OST omg so annoying. Anyways I think some would enjoy which is ok, I would understand fully if do but just not for me. Not faulting the acting but the story, pacing & originality
