I couldn't stop laughing, it's like laughing gas

"Young Actors' Retreat" is a must-watch for fans of Korean dramas. It brings together beloved actors from "Love in the Moonlight," "Itaewon Class," and "The Sound of Magic," creating a heartwarming and entertaining reality show. Their camaraderie, fun activities, and heartfelt moments offer a delightful behind-the-scenes look at their personalities. The genuine bonds and shared experiences make it engaging and relatable. If you enjoy lighthearted, feel-good content with a touch of nostalgia and charm, this show is definitely worth your time.

ONCE IN A LIFETIME

Having to watch this show is really a once in a lifetime opportunity! I do really enjoy all of the episodes, it's fun and really made me excited to watch every chapters! Seeing all of may fave actors in one frame is the best, I've got the chance to see their other sides of them which made me love them more! Thank you for making this possible specially for the director who puts a lot of effort to make this happen as well as for all the actors who made this show completely amazing! Thank you for this great experience.

I love this show.

When it comes to TV Shows, I usually only watch single episodes of interest to me. However, "Young Actors' Retreat" is a very entertaining and captivating show. I kept smiling through each episode. This show really made me laugh a lot.

I love every actor who has appeared in it. It felt very real when at first actors who did not know each other felt awkward, but over time they got used to each other and began to tighten bonds. It was cool to get to know the actors better this way.

I'll miss this show so much and I think I'll come back to it when I'm in a bad mood. It would be great if there were more shows like "Young Actors' Retreat".

If you want some good laugh, you should watch this!

It's really great to see Park Seo Joon and Ji Chang Wook in one show. ❤️They are both matured and true leaders.

Actually came here for Dong Yeon.❤️ How could a witty and funny man like him portrayed a fierce Byung Yeon?? I want to see more interactions of him and Kyung Soo. I also wish to see him again with Bo Gum in another drama or variety shows. Seeing them together here on Youth MT made me want to rewatch Love in the Moonlight. ❤️

Park Bo Gum is naturally sweet and caring as usual even to the staffs. ?

The girls are also fun and I was amazed that most of them are actually introvert. I admired Yoo Jung and Joo Young's bond. Na Ra is so pretty. ?

Overall, I enjoy the show and laughed so hard. Hwang In Youp is sooo cute. ?❤️ I love watching this kind of variety show. Salute to the director and to the one who made this idea, as well as to the actors who made to participate for the show. ?

Gonna rewatch this especially the episodes containing the horror training and the flying chair. ??❤️❤️❤️

A pure joy to watch

I'm not normally a fan of reality tv. I started watching this to give myself a break between dramas. I'm so glad I did! I smiled through the whole thing. I've loved all the actors in the works I've seen them in, and I may have to go back and re-watch the specific dramas represented by these actors.

The games/competitions were so much fun to watch, especially at the pool. Between the actors having water dumped on them or being thrown into the pool, I found myself laughing out loud.

One of the reasons I started watching Korean dramas was that they seem to be so respectful, and I'm fascinated by their culture. Seeing these young actors getting permission to stop using honorifics, bowing to one another and their politeness, showed me that this is not something just seen in their dramas, but intrinsic to their culture.

I also got a question answered that I've had since I started watching Korean shows. Do girls really talk about how handsome men are right in front of them? Yes, they do! I thought that surely it was something that was put into dramas for effect, but the women were very verbal in how much they liked the actors and how attractive they thought they were.

And, in the last episode, when the little girl came in with her mom, all of the actors were just enamored by the "baby". That was so cute. So, to finish, I can highly recommend this show for some time of fun entertainment. This is the first time I've wished for a Season 2 for any show that I've watched!

Best Variety show ever!

Do you want to watch a variety show with your top favorite actors and actress? Oh and laugh your butt off on top of that? I had NO IDEA on how funny and amazing this show was going to be.

I already love my favorite stars, but after watching this show, I love them even more.

I've seen Park See Joon in Yoon's Kitchen and that's when I fell in love with is humble personality (off camera), it was so contrasting to the characters he plays in his drama. In Young Actor's Retreat, he just seems like a humble, laid back guy.

I haven't seen Park Bo Gum in any reality show and it was so wild to see him interacting with people normally. He's 100% adorable and I love his facial expression. I am simply amazed the production team could line up so many A list actors in the same 3 day period.

Even though the show was shot over 3 days, I seriously was okay with the 8 episodes. It was so funny and I loved all the games they played. Oh and little Hang In Yeop was the little break out actor. I loved him in True Beauty, but he was so hilarious in this! He's such a shy and adorable person!

What a treat!

Just a tip: Be sure to watch Itaewon Class, Love in the Moonlight and Sound of Magic before you start the show. So you have a history of all the cast members.

god, saints, angels, the universe everything and everyone was on their side for this to happen

the luck the producers had to make this happen?? to get all these people at the same time??? yeah they were blessed. the only drama i havent watched is love in the moonlight but i still enjoy the actor's other works so i quite literally love everyone. i didnt expect to fall more in love and make a big space for every single one of them in my heart.
the games were amazing!! + funny and entertaining. i laughed out loud every night and got sad every time i had to wait days for the next episode because they were all just so so entertaining and fun.
the cast were all funny and even tho their personalities clashed they still had so much fun. i initially thought it was going to be a teams game but i loved seeing them get mixed up and i loved how close they got at the end :(( <3 literally a fan's dream to have their faves interact like this. i hope it gets another season. i would not complaing if we got more actors too. i just think this was a perfect idea. 10/10 variety shows i would rewatch.

Laughter & Fun w/ Familiar Faces

All the previous reviews were right, this is a must watch show if you like even just one of these actors and actresses!

LIKES:
Three of my favourite actors and many fave actresses participated in this show.
The locations for all filming were beautiful.
Their activities were fun and full of endearing moments and laughs.
I loved watching them all interact and compete!
I laughed out loud and so hard, during the flying chair event!
Many great moments.
Music was okay too.

DISLIKES:
The event where they wear headphones and try to guess what is being said, was so annoying. I hope if there are more seasons, that they choose something different. I think something like Pictionary or its S. Korean equivalent would be perfect and really funny!

OVERALL:
This was so funny and I really liked watching the actors and actresses when they could be more themselves, than a character. I highly recommend it and will probably watch some episodes again.

Never have I ever though to see all of them together

●Where can we see a lot of stars together, the only one I could think of was AWARD shows, where they have minimal and formal interaction with each other.

●when the trailer of Youth MT was dropped, I gasped because I was still under the spell of THE SOUND OF MAGIC, I was so glad that would see those SAME ACTORS TOGETHER ONCE AGAIN.

●I have watched Itaewon Class and loved that as for love in Moonlight, it might become my next drama to watch. But I do the actors from the drama well and have seen them in different projects.

●It was so relaxing and brought millions of smiles to my face because
My favourite was of course TSOM team but I loved LIML team too, as for IC I missed Kim Dami. Every game was interesting the pranks were hilarious. The actors light conversation beside the games was nice to see, it felt like seeing some Behind the scenes footage.

●SPECIAL MENTION- Hwang In Yeop was truly hilarious, throughout the show he was so fun to see. He is effortlessly funny or saying fun strikes him. Who can forget him falling while picking up his slipper?
Kim Yoo Jung, Chae SooBin and Kwon Nara were others who were so much fun to see as girls. I couldn’t stop adoring the girls of the drama.

●Except wanting for more episodes I don’t have any complaints. But it was good that they kept it compacted and had maximum fun in a short time. BUT I STILL WANT MORE.
●Other drama variety shows only have 1 drama cast and they are all promoting drama with the interview. Also If you watch any other variety show there might be 1 or 2 favourite celebrities and skip like the rest of the cast. But YOUNG ACTORS RETREAT was a glimpse of the top actors, real self from 3hit dramas (and I hope they were not acting because the camera was rolling but were genuinely nice people.)

●I bow to the (PD) Kim Sung Yoon for bringing them together and giving such a nice show to the audience and a happy time to my favourite actors, everyone is busy and still came together for 3 days for the Retreat.

●Story- There wasn't any story but games were interesting.
●Acting/Cast- cant say if they were acting but the actors shad fun nd I had fun watching them. The comments were so fun to see like are normal people who fumble, make mistakes, get shy or scared.
●Music- the BGM was hilarious.
●Rewatch Value- it has become my go to happy show, which can be watched anytime.

What a refreshing and healing show

As someone who's seen both "Itaewon Class" and "The sound of magic" this show was a blast, although I unfortunately hadn't had the chance to see "Love in the moonlight" it still allowed me to fall in love with the cast the same way. Each episode was a refreshing adventure and something about seeing many of my favorite actors in the same place doing fun things all together was so healing to watch.

I may not have a lot to say in this review however, I truly recommend this variety show to anyone who has seen any of the Korean dramas that cast is in, I would also recommend seeing all "Itaewon Class", "The sound of Magic" and "Love In Moonlight" before seeing this but it is also enjoyable if you don't! Personally I feel like since Itaewon class is one of my favorite dramas seeing how they integrated the plot of DanBam and the characters into this fun show it was so exciting and definitely allowed me to enjoy it more.

Those guys are so down to earth, so refreshing!

It is so refreshing to wach them playing togeher. I hope they really are like that and that they are not just playing a part as it happens in lots of european and american reality tv programs, when celebrities are still acting according to a script.
Saying that, they look so down to earth which makes them so lovable and relatable, it is so pleasantly surprising to see their introverted traits, instead of trying to be the star of the show! I have enjoyed the first episodes so far and I have to say it is so much better when teams are all mixed up so they get to know each other, making them a whole big team! I am a fan of Ji Chang Wook, but everyone here is stunning ? ❤️ ?
Thank you Viki for making this program available!
