The Legend of Zhuohua (2023)

Both FLs are strong in character and have to pretend to be well-behaved in a big family where their real mother is a concubine.

Feng Shao Feng is the ML in this drama. He acted the role of GTY brilliantly ie. an uncut diamond.

Both have empowering FL.
Both have the idea of balancing the court with adopting talents system instead of abolishing protecting noble families inheriting titles system. If they only offer positions to noble families and following generations, then they miss opportunity for real talents from all backgrounds. But they cannot upset noble families so they adopt talents recruiting system so all that have talents can partake imperial exams

- Both are historical drama and have smart/strong FL & ML (some comedy scenes, but the tone is mostly serious)
- ML was/will be a general…Destined has a much better war/battle scene due to its budget
- Good chemistry between the leads

Women supporting women ; leads have good chemistry, quick banter, and slow burn romance. You also get one of the actors (XHQ) playing a role of a scholar but a complete difference to his role in Legend of Zhuohua.

Same pairing of older seasoned general and younger woman, daughter of a concubine, who aspires to be valued as an equal and has skills that the ML comes to respect. Same vibe of first love for an older guy.
Also same actress plays obnoxious lady trying to marry ML…

Di Zi Yuan seeks revenge after her family was falsely accused of treason ten years ago and beheaded according to the emperor's edict. Clever / quick witted female gets linked with a Duke who is known to be cold. However, given their countless encounters and situations, he ends up caring for her while attempting to solve a mystery. You also have court scheming, too.

The story has the same actress she's a strong and smart female trying to become a female teacher. She slowly moved the heart of the female lead. It's a good deal to like you if you like one.

Both starts with a misunderstanding with the leads, same actor with alike personality characters, FL has a goal on her own, is smart and not focused in romance, FL and ML likes puzzle and problem resolution.

The Legend of Zhuohua is more of a romantic historical while The Imperial Coroner is a youth investigation historical (with some romance).

In the Court Lady, female lead became a court official (master weaver) while the male lead helped him through out just like with The Legend of Zhouhua. Both female leads left their family in order to work in the palace. Also, both couples face so much hardships together until they fell in love with each other.

Both have slowish mutual respect and then romance between a cold well off official and a warm but smart woman who works with him.
Both have past and present royal plots and betrayals that need to be resolved.
