Both leads meet on board a cruise ship and find themselves swept up in a murder mystery. MDD has fantasy elements and is darker in tone, while LADW has no fantasy and is lighter in tone.

If you have seen both movies, you’ll understand. The main characters find out that their respective significant others are in an entanglement. Proceeding the news, both MCs talk about their SOs and perform a lot of charades. The romance is subtle, thoughtful, innocent, and fresh.

Same quirky vibe w/ crazy supporting characters. A cheating spouse(s), rich people, and materialistic individuals from all walks of life. But the romance trumps all. Cute and sweet. Seriously.
