cute follow up
Overall: this takes place directly after episode 12 with the focus on the main couple. Watched on Gagaoolala, also on Viki.Content Warnings: none
What I Liked
- cute moments (the jealousy, kissing, outfits, hairstyle, cuddle, etc)
- interesting concept for a special episode
- neutral on the season 1 flashbacks, it was maybe helpful to remind people of a couple of key moments but also kind of felt like filler
Room For Improvement
- I'm kind of confused with what the phone did because then doesn't that mean the 2nd hop would have changed their future?

IT is cute and fluffy and funny
You will certainly like this episode. For those who enjoyed the Cameo and despised ep 9-11 you will find this as consoling episode. Take note this is episode 13 a special episode that takes place the same night after Fu li Gong and Zhao tied the not! That's after episode 12. You will find the playback funny as it deals with both of them in high school and the famous rag day in which Fu li Gong and Zhao had to dress up as women you will like this episode and you will find it cute. So watch and enjoy. Was this review helpful to you?
Much better than the series
After watching the series and feeling awfully disappointed, this special episode was a breath of fresh air. Time-travel to the past version of oneself isn't a trope I like at all, I usually avoid it, but they managed to use it in a cute way that somewhat gave me relief from the bitterness I felt over the main series. The plot itself isn't anything special, but it works for a single episode like this one. The characterization, the chemistry AND the acting felt way better in every aspect, so much that I wondered if the production team is the same or if they changed it for this one special episode. The music is the same as the rest of the series, so while it's not great, it feels like an actual sequel and not like its own thing.
It almost made me wish that the main series was about Li Gong and Ze Shou in high school.

Pure fluff - cute but quite redundant with the main series
This really short episode of 25 minutes takes place at the end of the parent series. It was super cute: mainly pure fluff and not a lot of plot. Cherry on the cake: it focused on the main couple with almost no intervention of the secondary couple (who is much less interesting to my eyes anyway).Despite all the lovely scenes, I was a bit disappointed because I expected to see more of the couple life of the two main male leads. Instead it felt quite redundant as the story revisit the past already shown in the main series with some little changes. It is clearly not a sequel but rather a feverish dream with quite a bit of flashbacks of scenes already seen.
The music is still really sweet to the hear, it is catchy and romantic. Production value is similar to the main show, it was clearly filmed in the continuity of it.
I would recommend this to people that enjoyed the main series. It is totally dispensable but at the same time, it is super cute...and that can be enough for an enjoyable watch.

Doesn't Add Much
This special episode takes place immediately after Episode 12 when Li Gong and Ze Shou get married. Ze Shou gets drunk and dreams about being back in high school with Li Gong. While both appear to be 18 years old, Ze Shou retains his memories of his current age and changes the way he handled several events in the past. Its kind of cute, but also contains a number of flashbacks from the rest of the series that really weren't necessary. I also found it rather distasteful that Ze Shou got drunk at their wedding to the point that he has to be physically carried. I was honestly impressed that Li Gong was so unaffected by it because if that had been my wedding, I would have been pissed at my husband getting so completely drunk. But then again, he knows Ze Shou best and loves him regardless of his flaws.
Ze Shou's dream contains some cute moments, though the jealousy aspect feels a bit weird considering these are all events that occurred 10 years prior and they literally just got married, but it also doesn't really add anything to the story. I honestly lost interest partway through. But it's only a half hour long, so I can't really complain. I can't say whether or not anyone should watch it, but you're not missing out on anything if you skip it.
