AoS: Light and Shadow is the continuation story, the sequel of AoS. From the same writers Hong Sisters and same production team, the main casts will return for Part 2 as well.

Both deal with love and grief set in the past. Although, AOS has magic both show deal with spirits. Both have serious notes as well moments of sadness. The shows also has have an action component as well. I am currently watching them both and they have a similar vibe.

Alchemy of souls season 2 contains romance and magic just like Lovers of the red sky. There are similar special effects. In both series there are also otherworldly powers standing between the main characters.

Somehow the drama feels so alike with this reincarnation theme. And the lovers meetings again in the present life.

Both genres are similar in the way that the male lead falls for the same soul in different bodies…

PS. You’ll have to first watch season 1 of Alchemy of Souls if you weren’t aware that it exists.

Part 2 in particular is similar because it takes place after one of the characters died and was resurrected and is still misunderstood by the world as being a ruthless but powerful killer who practices sorcery (Wei Wuxian and Naksu). Their partners (Lan Zhan and Jang Uk) are now powered up characters who fear no-one and are able to protect their loved one, regardless of their past or what the world thinks

These two are both fantasy k-dramas. Bulgasal is heavier in plot terms including revenge, reincarnation, mystery thriller. Alchemy of Souls is a balance between romance, action and comedy.
