Best of K-Dramas of the year 2022
This drama is definitely along the lines of Goblin (2016), Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Crash Landing On You (2019), The Untamed (2019) and The Love Between the Fairy and the Devil (2022).It's just one of those EPIC adventures with three-dimensional characters, plot twists, comic reliefs, stunning fantastical cinematography, soundtracks, devastating emotional stories & heartbreaks.

"Must watch Drama for a Fantasy , Romance lover ...""
I have just completed the second episode of ""Alchemy of souls light and shadows"" . Also know as part 2 . Lee Jae Wook and Go yoon Jung are in the main role . I love the chemistry between them . They are literally killing it. You should watch and i sure you , you will love this show . I don't know why there are only 10 episodes . Btw i am waiting for another episodes eagerly . I recommend you to watch from first part . If you watch from part 2 you can't understand anything . You can watch it on Netflix with subscription.Was this review helpful to you?
one of my fav kdramas ?
I loved this show so much that I can’t even let go of it, I had a whole mental attachment to it. The plot was really great and the episodes were executed consistently. The main leads and the second lead couples all had amazing chemistry with each other. I loved how both the female and male lead were very strong and that they made eachother stronger. They would do anything for each other. It was also not rushed and really showed us everything they went through. The plot twists and plot line were all great it even makes me cry how good it was. *Walks out nervously* I enjoyed Season 2 more than Season 1.Story
In a way this was a continuation of S1 but also a different story. This is a great example (for me) of why the multi season arch can really work in the drama space. As with Dr Romantic, which had 3 seasons and I would love a 4th, there is something comforting about knowing the characters and seeing them grow beyond the 10 to 16 episode lifeline. In this season we get the very satisfying badass version of Jang Uk right from E1. The joy that I felt from watching him in the first scene was euphoric. His brooding was not only deserved but was the perfect amount. The person you loved literally killed you. Go sit with the rocks my little emo man. But also, can we talk about those steamy scenes when he finally gives in to being 'crazy' with Bu Yeon?! The lantern?! I need the other romance dramas to take note! Loved the play on soul shifting with Naksu/Cho Yeong/Jin Bu Yeon. It kept things moving along but played with the gray molarity of the characters as they find or, or helped. Again, having more time with the characters gives you the ability to see how the previous actions butterfly affect to their decisions later on.
Acting/Cast
I'm ready for the pitchforks that will come out with my next statement. I'm saying this with my full chest. Go Youn Jung was perfectly casted for this role. She brought about an ethereal lightness to the character. I loved So Min in Season 1 but for the story to play out, they needed someone else. Ideally it would have been the actress who originally portrayed Bu Yeon but whatever. In my S1 review I shouted out the Prince and Seo Yul but I forgot about Mr Dang Gu! He was fantastic in both seasons but also had a bigger role in S2, which I appreciated. To be fair, this cast is loaded with so many actors that I've seen in other roles that I respect (Seo Hye Won, my English/Korean queen from Business Proposal and Lovely Runner, I see you!)

As with the first season, I really liked the music.

Thoughts about the switch...
All the things that made part 1 worthwhile are still there and I have not much to add to that front. If you've seen part 1, watch part 2 :).About the female lead actor switch. The switch was nicely integrated in the story (albeit somewhat convoluted, but not annoyingly so). The only thing which stuck out for me was the lack in personality continuity. Mu-Deak was extremely sassy, hands-on and she struggled quite a bit with choosing for herself or for others. While this rendition of Naksu was more of a passive moral compass type of person, especially in the second half of the season. I liked the interpretation well enough (although I did enjoy the first rendition more), it was just hard to believe they were supposed to be the same person.

I watched the first 27 minutes of SEASON 2 and my heart just broke and I am so pissed off. I hate the new character and face of 'Mudeok'. I loved the former actress and her brilliant performance, and now I will not continue watching SEASON 2.SEASON 1 was perfection and I couldn't wait for season 2.... I wanted THAT Mudeok and Jang Uk to end up together... and not this big-nosed princess who is a loser...
I am so angry that I don't get to see my fantasy ending, and I needed a platform such as this to vent my ANGER.

Valio la espera
He visto solo dos capítulos y estoy fascinada, me encanta esta serie, desde que termino la primera temporada, espere con ansias que empezara y ahora me verán ansiosa todas las semanas esperando mas nuevos capítulos, Se las recomiendo de corazón, vean la temporada uno, para poder seguir con esta, no vale la pena una sin la otra. Por ahora la historia sigue bien armada. Cero spoiler, véanla, todos los personajes son adorables.Mi mayor miedo era no aceptar a la nueva actriz, pero no, esta chica lo esta haciendo muy bien. De verdad.
ACTUALIZACIÓN
Para no poner Spoilers, esta serie supero mis expectativas, fue genial, los 10 capítulos fueron intensos, y el final, fue mágico, grite, reí, llore, todas las emociones juntas, lo amo 100%, en un mes lo vuelvo a ver.

eu literalmente terminei esse drama todo em 3 dias, meudeus ele é viciante, sua trama é muito intrigante esempre deixa um gosto de quero mais a cada episodio. acredito que para mim a troca de personagem nao afetou em nada, foi lindo ver o jang uk se apaixonando pela naksu dnv, eles sao incriveis tem uma quimica linda. de vdd, mesmo sendo muito famosinho eu nao dava nada para alquimia das almas mas agr qassisti me sinto apaixonada por esse drama/universo d vdd eu adorei e vou sentir sdds dos meus amorecos!!?Was this review helpful to you?
Por que demorei tanto para assistir? Alquimia das Almas é INCRÍVEL!
Confesso que para uma telespectadora assídua, demorei bastante para assistir as duas temporadas de Alquimia das Almas. Mas como toda fã de dramas que se prese, um clássico não pode ficar de fora da lista.Gostar, gostar mesmo de drama de fantasia, eu não gosto, mas por causa de Lee Jae-wook, aceitei o desafio. Não assisti no começo com muita expectativa, mas acabei me apaixonando muito pelo drama.
Só pela arte e efeitos já faz você se apaixonar e querer assistir cada segundo. E os 30 episódios das duas temporadas passam voando de tanto que a trama te prende.
Mas acredito que o grande segredo do sucesso de Alquimia das Almas é o roteiro, efeitos especiais, coreografias das lutas alinhados ao seu elenco tão devastador de bom. É de tirar o fôlego, a história é incrível! Eles fizeram um excelente trabalho na trama, escolha de estrelas, cinematografia por isso, fiquei me perguntando: Por que eu demorei tanto para assistir essa obra de arte?!
A História tem começo e um final impactante que te transporta para dentro da trama desde o primeiro minuto. Alquimia das Almas é realmente daqueles dramas de tirar o fôlego. Os efeitos visuais são de aplaudir de pé, nível de filme.
É tão hipnotizante que eu assisti a temporada 1 com 20 episódios e a temporada 2 com 10 episódios em um dia e meio (ou seja, não dormi!)
Lee Jae-wook fazendo Jang Uk seu papel é muito bom. Podemos facilmente empatizar com sua tristeza, felicidade e luta durante todo o drama. Seu desenvolvimento durante a passagem do tempo entre os primeiros até o último episódio é impressionante. Já havia visto outros dramas com Lee Jae-wook e já tinha notado sua competência como ator mas em Alquimia das Almas eu verdadeiramente me apaixonei por ele.
Em relação a segunda temporada muitos não gostaram em especial, devido a troca da atriz principal. Independente de rumores da troca ser devido a brigas com Diretor do drama, para o enredo da histpria de fato fazia sentido essa troca. Lembrando que Jang Uk se apaixounou pela alma da Naksu então fazia sentido a atriz que fez a Naksu na primira temporada fechar o ciclo do drama. Todos os fatores são explicados muito bem ao longo da segunda temporada (não quero sar spolier)
Eu, particularmente estou no time dos que amaram o desfecho romântico. Para quem curte um final feliz, a história de Jang Wook e Naksu não poderia acabar daquele jeito. E particularmente amei a química entre Lee Jae-wook e Go Yoon Jung,
Lee Jae-wook trabalho bem com Jung So-min. MAs com Go Youn-jung meus amigos, estava em outro nivel, As cenas românticas foram de tirar o fôlego meus amigos! Que casal!
A temporada 2 valeu a pena? Para os apaixonados pelo casal protagonista, com certeza sim. E eu já disse que sou do time apaixonados pelo casal então sim, eu amei a temporada 1 e também a amei a temporada 2. Mas para quem buscava uma narrativa mais densa, talvez a resposta seja diferente. E entendo, verdadeiramente.
Há, e vale destacar a OST. Que obra prima senhores! A trilha sonora é muito incrível.

"Eu soube no momento em que vi você, que você era meu marido"
Vi algumas pessoas reclamando por causa da mudança de atriz, mas isso não muda o quão boa essa segunda parte foi. Não deixe que isso te desmotive a assistir. Tem romance, casamento de fachada, intrigas e, na minha opinião, fez total sentido e foi até melhor a mudança de atriz. Por que foi encantador ver o Jang Uk se apaixonar mais uma vez pela Naksu, pelos mesmas coisinhas que fizeram ele se apaixonar no passado, mesmo sem reconhecê-la (não importando o nome ou a aparência dela no momento).A cada episódio a história melhorava e, apesar realmente não se comparar a primeira parte, é uma sequência com um final muito bom para a história. Vi no twitter algumas pessoas reclamando do roteiro, mas não achei lento o desenrolar da história, na verdade, eles conseguiram desenvolver bastante coisa em só dez capítulos e conseguiram finalizar bem as histórias dos personagens secundários (coisas que tem dorama por aí que não conseguem fazer com 20 episódios de uma hora cada). Além de que não podemos esquecer que não são duas temporadas independentes, na verdade, são uma só, dividida em duas partes.
As atuações foram incríveis e eu gostei muito do dorama, só queria mais meia horinha para saber com quem um dos personagens que mais amo vai ficar kkkk, mas tudo bem, fico feliz das irmãs hong não terem matado ele kkk.
