Set in the 1990s. Beijing musician Wang Qi Ming, and his wife, Guo, just came to the USA, but their dream was broken quickly. Wang is depressed for some time, switches to being a businessman and accumulates considerable wealth. Smart and beautiful lady Chun becomes his confidant, but his wife Guo moves to his competitor's company. When their daughter Ning Ning comes to the USA, she can not accept the situation of her parents and consider Chun as an enemy. She gradually starts to indulge herself in the American way as a rebellion against her parents.
