Short show with mind-reading twist that will make you laugh
This is not the usual low-budget short show. The storyline about a writer who gets sucked into her own novel/book is not exactly new but the twist of her husband in the book - whom she is supposed to act against in all her missions - is able to hear her thoughts, is quite unique - and very funny and interesting to watch. I think it’s probably one of the 3 best shows (of this kind) I’ve seen so far. 10 minutes is actually perfect. Not too fast and not too slow.Character wise: FLs father (in the book) is so cute and sweet. Her parents were a pleasant surprise. Other than that we have this clever and cunning FL who is matched perfectly with a ML that’s equally clever. However he would have been in so much trouble if he didn’t get the ability to hear FLs thoughts - how lucky, LOL.
Acting wise this is top notch. I saw ML in “The Killer is also Romantic” and he is brilliant in this kind of role. He gives me a Cheng Yi vibe, in a funny version that is (lets face it, Cheng Yi’s roles are often very serious).
Since it ends on a cliffhanger I’m definitely going to keep my eye out for season 2.
If you love a funny and interesting short show - with lots of twists and turns - this is a “Must Watch”

Unfinished but Fun
This is another story of a writer who is sent in to their own story and did what they could to try to survive alongside the male lead who at first wants her dead. However while I did get a husband, I am missing the bossy and also am not 100% sure where is the love...
The female lead is supposedly smart and thinks she knows the plot (since she wrote it), the male lead has gained the ability to read her mind which not only pretty much levelled the playing field between the two, but also made way for some interesting slightly low humour. However it also made me question the female leads intelligence as she had to understand that not only had the plot changed but the male lead showed very clearly that he indeed could read her mind. So yes I was bothered by the way she did not catch on to it.
Since this is a short web drama I was fully prepared for things to be under developed however that was not really the issue here as they seemed to get in deeper in to the plot than the time slot allowed for leaving me with the feeling that the story has just begun and that I should expect another season or 10 to finish it. Something that did indeed lower the score.
So basically this is a fun palette cleanser between heavier dramas, and I am sure to keep on watching the next season if and when it will be made.

a short, refreshing palate cleanser
Very short episodes, however, also fast paced and loads of fun.Our heroine is fixed on the fact that this is her storyline so is unable to comprehend the constant changes and has the added plight that she will suffer dire circumstances if she does not complete the tasks allotted to her.
The ML is forced into this marriage and trying to manage an imminent war so he is very distrusting. The sudden ability to hear the FL thoughts adds to the confusion and humour.
Cute couple hate to love trope done well.
I also saw ML in “The Killer is also Romantic” this kind of role is where he shines.

Pleasantly surprised!
I didn't expect much watching this series as it looks low-budget. I must say the series surprises me. Unlike other low-budget shows, it's just right with 10 mins per episode. And in just 10 mins, it's funny with all twists and turns. I can't wait to see more of it. The story is easy to follow (I found other low budget ones try to scram too much into the 1st episode to explain the background, making it hard to digest). The two main characters are adorable together. I love how they are equally smart and scheming. All the mind-reading is funny as well. I feel bad that I can't understand them all as the English translation cannot convey the meaning.
I'm looking forward to season 2 already.

I fcking loved this.
I love Tu Zhi Ying's acting and all of the dramas she's in always turn out to be great. I don't really know the ML but he did great as well. The acting was great. The story was also great but the ending was really abrupt and hella shocking. There hasn't been any news of a season 2, which you know, feels weird since the ending just felt like this series had a season two. I really loved this and YEARN for a season 2. Love them together. I hope more people would start noticing Tu Zhi Ying. Was this review helpful to you?
Hilarious!
I've seen the ML in other short dramas before and he's great. The FL has also been in other shorts. I think there's a set of actors and actresses that seem to do a whole bunch of shorts, and it's a good break from watching a longer drama.Plot is funny. Typical transmigration, but atypical mind reading. It lends to A LOT of humor. I don't know how the actors manage to keep a straight face as they ask the questions they ask and ponder terms they don't understand.
Pacing is spot on. Sometimes shorts feel rushed, but this one flows just perfectly.
Nice fight scene.
I can't wait for season two! I hope it's just as witty as this first season.

Not liked much
A girl who writes a story and she entered in her story where she had no control of her own story . Somebody else was controlling her and gave her task to complete . When she will complete all the task then only she will return to her life .Unfinished story ,now have to wait for the second season if it is there .
I don't like it much because i had already watched such stories with same story line .
If you like love story then you can give a try . what i think if there was no kissing scene then children might enjoy watching it because for them it would be story of Queen and King.

Interesting synopsis but disappointed by story execution
After watching The Killer is also Romantic, Destined to Meet You, Blade's Dance with You, Butterflied Lover, Yang Ze is one of my favourite mini drama actors. He can portray different expressions even with his baby face. I have watched Tu Zhi Ying's acting in Playing House, which I really enjoyed. I was excited to watch this mini drama after knowing the main cast and reading the synopsis. However I didn't enjoy this series. What I liked:
1. Bromance - I enjoyed watching Qin Chuan and his aide, Zhao Tie especially when they were concocting plans to woo Mu Xiao Xi.
2. Xiao Xi's parents - They didn't have much screen time but whenever they were on screen, they were hilarious.
What I disliked:
1. Romance - I don't sense any chemistry between Yang Ze and Tu Zhi Ying at all. Their characters Qin Chuan and Mu Xiao Xi were essentially strangers because there were no scenes of them bonding or working together on achieving something. I am bothered by the kissing scenes because most of the time they were in forced situations.
2. Shots - I don't like how inner monologues of Tu Zhi Ying and Shangguan Ru Yu were shot. Breaking the fourth wall style were employed and I find this style created a barrier with Qin Chuan.
3. Side storylines - I would like to know more about Qin Chuan's rivalry/relationship with other princes but it wasn't explored much. I couldn't care much about Shangguan Ru Yu's arc.
4. Ending - A cliffhanger. Since I don't enjoy this series, I am not interested in the outcome of the main leads.
Favourite scene
When Xiao Xi's parents gave marital advice to Qin Chuan and Xiao Xi.

Super Fun Mini Drama
"Bossy Husband Who Loved Me" was a funny mini drama with a strong plot (the author's transmigration into her own novel + mind reading was an excellent combination!). The pacing was well done, and the male lead and female lead had great chemistry, so it was enjoyable to watch them together. I liked both of the leads' acting and the female lead is really pretty and cute. The costuming and setting were good. The ending is a bit abrupt, so I hope they make a season 2, but it's definitely worth the watch. Was this review helpful to you?
