The story revolves around the "Cat Hire House" in the city of Lin'an during the Southern Song Dynasty. The proprietress, Zhang Qiao Er, learned some cat-training techniques from the artisans when she was young. Whenever families in the city needed a cat servant, they would hire a cat from her shop. Unexpectedly, a major case in the city implicates Zhang Qiao Er, and then she meets Ma Qing Shan, an honest junior constable of Lin'an Prefecture. As the case unfolds, Zhang Qiao Er's other identity gradually emerges. It turns out she is the notorious "Cat Burglar" known among the common folk, and she has been the target of Ma Qing Shan's pursuit all along. Odd but sweet investigation production
This is an odd but sweet investigation, costume production with really good actors.Sadly, the premise of the story doesn’t really work for me. It’s odd for a human to run around sniffing cat hair and investigating murder. If FL was a cat-fairy or -deity, it might have worked better.
The love story is also odd, going from 0 to 100 in a split second.
Other than that, it’s a nice watch.
