Unexpectedly VEEEERY good.
Despite of the cringey relationship between Jihwan and Eunha, I would really like to rewatch this for the hundrenth time..It was kinda boring at the first and second episode, but I enjoyed the rest!! I would love for the other characters' back stories to be shown in the drama, I think it'd make me fall even more into this drama.
This drama has it own attractor that wont let go of people dropping this drama : Uhm Taegoo's voice.
I feel like I've been driven crazy by his voice and his everything like UGHHHH please just this once...
But I feel like Uhm taegoo kinda lack at kissing, or did he do it on purpose for the plot (that Seo Jihwan never dates a girl so he basically never kissed one) but that's not a big problem since they don't really kiss too much.

To put it in simple words this is one of those clingy, cringy dramas! Let the word cringy, not fool you though! It justifies the title name perfectly. The man is manly but sweet only for his girl. The man who follows his principles but still doesn't disrespect his roots.
The girl on the other hand is just a humble sweet girl who wants to make her dream of keeping children happy come true!
Their chemistry was missed a bit and got too cringey but you can see why! Because their personalities were not similar. They needed the cringe and clinginess to be together and that is cute!
The drama depicts a good amount of laughter, silliness, drama, action, I wouldn't say it was 100% balanced but it was a good job done!
The dramas recently were a bit disappointing, but this one has a very new concept and is intriguing to watch.
If you're a fan of Romance-Comedy with a bit of action story as a backdrop, this drama is for you!

Cuter Than Expected
At first I had a hard time getting into this story, and I was instantly annoyed by the over done lack of communication trope. Nobody can just be honest because god forbid we don't cause unnecessary drama. lolBased on the title, description, and main art, it's clear this is meant to be a cute little drama, but it's much cuter than I thought it would be. During the times where I struggled with this show, it was the mobster friend group that really saved it for me.
I'm a sucker for outsiders taking in someone new as well as someone liking and hanging out with someone others would not, so it was nice to have both.
I liked seeing them warm up to her over time because they saw how different he was with her around. The 2ML and 2FL are adorable, but that whole thing where she was insistent on not wanting him was drawn out. Just get together and call it a day.
Also, I was hella surprised to see even the implication of s*x in a kdrama, let alone pregnancy outside of marriage. I mean, I'm used to kicking my feet when they hold hands for the first time 12 episodes in. lol It wasn't the worst, it was super minimal, however, if I wanted hookups and unwed pregnancies I'd watch crappy western shows. lol
Overall super cute and I love that they had the two oldest go on that blind date and didn't force that to work, but instead made it so she supported them still living there. Initially I thought they were going to force Dong Hee and Ye Na on us and I didn't like it at first because she had not redeemed herself. By the end of the show I would've been more okay with it, although I like that he stuck around with the group.

The best Korean romcom of 2024!
This is certainly one of the best dramas Korea has ever made. The way they handled the reinsertion of prisoners into society was a great success. The comedy and romance were well developed and applied and still had room to explore drama and action. The performances were excellent, even in the comedic moments the actors were not caricatured. The script left no loose ends, was fun and fulfilled its purpose. The first two episodes may seem less interesting, but they are worth continuing. The fact that it is a romcom that has a story beyond the couple is what makes the 16 episodes not boring and not falling into the same old formula. 16 episodes of pure art! The best romcom of 2024!Was this review helpful to you?

Fun. Initially I loved it but later ML got very one dimensional. By the end I was more interested in the secondary couple's story. (also would have loved if something happened with the prosecutor and his employee but oh well.) A lot of time was spent on MLs dad plot which I did not really like since it was inconsequential in the end, but I will forgive that since this was a lighthearted romcom. (Also the posters were simply exquisite) Was this review helpful to you?

Mobsters with Diabetes
Why Mobsters with Diabetes? They’re too sweet to be true. These are less mobsters and more white collared criminals wanting to reform by working hard to assimilate back into society- a society that is not willing to give them second chances. Then enter Mob Boss aka Mr Soul aka Mr Voice aka Mr Sexy AF Mofo. He has cheekbones of steel and a voice of thunder. Not only is he loyal, loving and kind, he is also a teddy bear in disguise.
Take this and add in the usual Kdrama formula and you get an incredibly sweet and light drama:
- co habitating
- group of funny friends
- strong and hard working FL
- SML who isn’t an asshole, persistent but not pushy
- there’s really no love triangle, ML and FL only love each other
- a sprinkle of serious moments but mostly fun and hilarious moments
I would watch just to hear ML whisper murderous threats to me.

Cute and chaotic
Hilarious and chaotic are the two words that come to mind when I think of this drama. It was great and made me laugh a lot, but fell down a bit towards the end. As many dramas sadly do, it started out very strong and as it went on it dragged on and lost steam. It would have been better if it was less episodes, in my opinion, but despite the fact that it was longer than it needed to be and had some poor acting and weird scenes at the end, it was overall an entertaining experience and wonderful drama for laughs and lighthearted fun.Was this review helpful to you?
a nice little drama
I had no expectations going into this one but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The premise is fine , but I didn't love the angle of the FL being a 'kids content creator' or the 'cutesy' sorta stuff around that .That said what did it for me was the ML his acting even when overly cute with the FL was great , combined that with a raspy sorta voice it fit his character's background to a t and was pretty hot in some of the romantic moments which ... Are a bit fewer and farther between than I prefer .
The secondary cast was great , I don't think this show would be half as good without them cause while the main leads are good in their own way the comedy is truely rounded out by the support cast's interactions with the main couple.
All and all I really liked this drama and the pacing of it , it was neither too short nor too long and didn't over stay its welcome in the slightest. I can't say i'd watch it again but i was happy i did the one time.

Excellent romcom
Very brief synopsis:The female protagonist, Go Eun Ha (played by Han Sun Hwa) is a struggling children's content creator, who by chance gets tangled up with a firm run by a former gang boss.
The CEO of this company, our male protagonist Seo Ji Hwan (Um Tae Goo), wanted to break free from his mobster dad and ratted him out to the authorities years ago, sending his dad to prison.
After some initial misunderstandings, Go Eun Ha and Seo Ji Hwan end up falling for each other, but there are of course other players on the field, as well as the struggles of running a business as a former mobster.
First of all: This was a rather fresh series, a bit different from a lot of other ones. Stands out a bit like how "Knight flower" also did for me, even if that is a different genre. It's kind of like they don't view/take themselves so seriously.
My Sweet Mobster has got charm, humour, romance, and some action and suspense.
It also showcases what I imagine is a very real struggle: to turn your life around as an ex-convict. This series are in a non-preachy way showing that they often are very normal, compassionate human beings too.
Cast was brilliant, and the main couple worked well together - although I would say Um Tae Goo probably impressed me a little bit more than Han Sun Hwa, as I also think his role was more challenging to portray.
I don't always notice the music, but this time I did, in a rather positive way.
I have very high standards for "rewatch"; it is mainly only a topscore of 9 or 10 that means I myself would consider rewatching. This lingers between 8 and 9 on rematch value; I have just finished, so I might reevaluate when digested my impression a little more.

cute and funny
This was such a nice and chilled K drama absolutely loved the combination of the cute female lead and the cold but soft male lead which was absolutely amazing. The storyline was so good. The side characters were perfect loved the proposal that was so adorable overall this is a very nice drama to watch and binge watch on a lovely weekend. It’s that kind of K drama that you watch when you just want to relax there’s a lot of funny scenes and those are my favourite funny scenes. Like everything just makes sense I was watching it on a weekly basis but it does have a binging potential so I would definitely recommend this kid drama. Do not judge it by anyone else else’s reviews. Just give it a shot and I promise you the first four episodes are so good. Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet sweet story
A different themed kdrama. I’m putting this on my favorite list. Just watched Lovely Runner and thought I wouldn’t find another show that I liked as much as I did it. This is such a sweet story and the ml is so adorable in his innocent crushing on the fl. Who cares if it’s far fetched. I think we are all here for a cute story and romance. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every episode so far.Was this review helpful to you?
