This is one of my most anticipated movies in 2014 so thanks to that guy who subbed it lol.

I didn't watch the Korean version so I can't compare even if I did I won't waste my time with this japan VS. Korea thing. As for the movie I won't say It was epic film but its indeed a great film. Some may say it has a weak plot cause there are so many why's factors after watching the movie but movies like this I don't care about those things I'll just eat what the director present to me that appears to be a VS. (duel) between characters with same situation, a duel with their beliefs. I really like the pacing of the movie it didn't have any of those boring parts that Japanese critics hate even those less action parts with Tanaka and his friends as they add fun elements to the movie.

Like I said I won't talk about this VS. thing between Korea and japan but I'll talk about this VS. thing This between yamada and fujiwara. As a fan of yamada and even if I'm not a fan of yamada I believe he's a better actor. Fujiwara did a great job but as I said in my earlier comment about monsterz I can think actors who can play this type of character better, fujiwara has this bad hobbit to overact and thankfully it didn't happen in this film. As for yamada tho not his best performance but he did great as well, he can act calm but when it requires intensity damn he can give you that. I always hate protect-everything-type of character but with his portrayal makes me wanna root for him. The VS. Battle between these two actors I will give slight edge to yamada IMO...but the sure thing is the fact that I compare them means they have great chemistry as enemies. Other actors did good too like satomi she has less screen time but she did play her character well and she and yamada still have chemistry like back in their H2 days like for example that scenes where they talk about maps, their magic didn't fade I really love seeing those 2 back again. The actor who played jun surprise me too he played a gay character believable lmao.

Lastly about the strongest part of the movie its epic soundtrack. I believe that a films soundtrack is crucial to a film cause it sets the mood to a certain scene and I can say seriously that this films soundtrack is one of the best if not the best soundtrack I heard in my years of watching Japanese movies the theme is haunting it haunts me even after watching I still hear the tune in my brain.

The movie isn't all that bad I mean some may say it's a boring movie and has a terrible plot and they've ended up having to drop the movie but I say if you got pulled in by the summary and did get 40 minutes in and have this urge to stop watching, keep pushing yourself to finish it cause in the end you'll completely understand it and honestly it's actually a very sad movie.

I liked it because it got me worked up and half the time I couldn't look away from the screen while the other half I was covering my eye's or actually looking away terrified cause I knew something awful was gonna happen, that my friend is because it's a thriller.

Now this is a Japanese Remake version of the Korean movie "Haunters" (Parent Story) and because I haven't seen it yet so I can't compare the two but I bet it's just as good as this one was.

I personally believe the movie is only re-watchable if you plan on watching the original version which is why I've rated it a 7.0, and Overall I gave it a 9.0 because when i finally understood it all I said to myself "If I was considered a monster in this world don't you think it would be nice to have someone who thought otherwise?"
