QUEEN OF IDIOCY AND HER BIGGEST SIMP.

A show that looked quite interesting and engaging from its trailer and previews only to end up as a total dud. The episodes get boring with each case and rarely are moments of anything exciting. It is draggy and even gets annoying sometimes especially the entire relationshit arc between the leads.

One of the most dumbest female leads to ever exist. I still don't know how she even managed to become a lawyer. From the previews it looked like she will be one strong willed and badass lady but all you get is an idiotic damsel in distress who just keeps putting herself into dangerous situations, only to be rescued by ML. In almost very ep, she just keep crying and lamenting.

Kang Ki Young finally getting a lead role but just the wrong show. His character is a huge doormat of a simp who just cannot move on from a lady who dumped him to marry someone richer and influential. The entire past love arc was pure crap and would have been better if not kept in the show. Dude keeps on getting hurt by FL's decisions and keeps coming back wiggling his tail.
There is no chemistry between the leads and neither is any character progression. I would say the relation arc between Sara and her ex husband was way better than the ex boyfriend turned coworker dude.

I would say the antagonists were way better than the leads and at some parts I even wanted them to win be it the ex husband or his mother. They did really well with their part.
If you are looking for some exciting law and thriller stuff, this show ain't worth your time.

The Biggest Disappointment of this Year

This is one of those shows that had a strong start, but quickly deteriorates into a disaster of epic proportions. Starring Lee Ji Ah and Kang Ki Young in the lead roles, “Queen of Divorce” was supposed to be a fantastic tale about a badass female lead, who is a divorce fixer. Only, it turns into a mediocre drama that depicts the same old daughter-in-law and mother-in-law rivalry, while the husband/son is caught unaware between the two (plotting/scheming on his own). While the cases they took initially did seem intriguing, the show quickly devolves into family melodrama and nothing gets past it. Lee Ji Ah tries her best to deliver a commendable performance as a wronged woman who is out for revenge. Her candor and dialogue delivery are perfect, only the role isn’t meant for her. She deserves a better role than someone who probably left her lover to get married to a rich guy (who is a good-for-nothing). As for Kang Ki Young, this was his moment to shine. After playing an antagonist in “Uncanny Counter Season 2”, this was his big break. Unfortunately, the show doesn’t do any justice to his acting skills; I just felt he was better off playing the villain. Let’s get down to reviewing this show in detail!

Surprisingly good!

I didn't expect to like this show, but I enjoyed it so much that I ended up binging (bingeing?) it, and suddenly got to the last episode without realizing. It wasn't perfect, and of course there were plot holes, but it was overall a good drama. I loved the acting, and a couple of times I ended up giggling or yelling at the screen, which of course is a sign that I'm totally immersed in the story. And the side couple totally stole my heart, as did the little boy. But my favorite character was the rich divorcee CEO of the Solutions business. She was hilarious.

This is one of those dramas where you free yourself from reality and just watch for sake of the story.

Not Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Queen of Divorce '' is a dramatic law comedy.

The drama, first of all, focuses mostly on the female lead's story and her efforts to redeem herself and bring those who hurt her to justice. Therefore, there weren't a lot, or even any, legal cases other than the main one, which was a letdown, as the main lead was supposed to be the queen of divorce, even though she couldn't be a lawyer.

The romance, in addition, felt forced and it was boring, especially since they were trying to base it on a past that the viewer had never watched.

Finally, the performances were enjoyable.

So, overall, three out of ten.

I mean.. It's not terrible..

Honestly, at the start, it was quite an interesting watch but as it progressed too many plot holes were noticeable and the story started to get a tad repetitive.

She's supposed to be super keen yet she didn't notice there was a mole in the office, the team honestly seemed to be this super force when it came to making the plans but when it came time actually to take action, it somehow almost always fell through.

The leads were seasoned actors but everything about their chemistry was a bit off-putting. perhaps that's how it was supposed to be since Sa-Ra always felt sorry for him, however, I think it goes deeper than that.

When the show actually resolved around them helping the divorce clients I found it more entertaining than when they were trying to take down Chayul although you could say they were all linked together but still..

GOLD digger of 2024 DEASANG goes to KIM SA RA (Lee JI Ah)

2/10 after watching her cry in episode 3

her kids father is kang ki young who she never told and raise him as someone else child
she not only deceived real father but also her husband into believing that was his kid
At first Episode i blame husband for everything being a weak jerk
but after knowing why she married her husband i did not blame only husband(only for there marriage and divorce)
surely i blame him for murder of his ex-mistress and mother in law
FL never truly love her husband so expecting him to love her was Wrong, she was a gold digger who left her poor boyfriend for rich Man,
9 year ago right before her marriage she spend a night with ML(kang Ki Young) which mean she was two timing her ex-husband, thus i doubt paternity of her Son.
he might be kang ki young's child for more happy ending....
she that's why she is suffering.
i have doubts that our FL and ML had an affair just before her marriage...
Husband is awful person but Fl isn't that innocent either, i think they belong together and
Kang Ki young deserve better......
9/10 is very good acting story is good
specially assistant of FL, had watched her in alchemy of soul

(( GOLD DIGGER are now new Image of Stong Female in Korean Dramas ))

rating get lower after watching ep3, this woman cried after finding out about her child,
she is acting like she miss her son, but she regret even concaving that child.....
she was two timing, sleeping with both of them and then she got Pregent and married her husband for money without even knowing who is her child's father
there is nothing here that can redeem her,
she is also reason for her husbands affair because he wasn't loved in that marriage, and she should be blamed for her mothers death.
i understand her husband is evil but she is one who made him evil..... so she should be blamed more.
if she hasn't cheated this two man then nothing would have happen
dropping this shit....... kang ki young dude after attorney woo please think before taking roles, just because it is ML doesn't mean its good.
until ep 6 everything is just easy for our leads they did not need to do a thing
everything turn out in there Favour at end so this is just boring

Dear Director if you made this drama just to fulfill your personal fantasies, Don't release it for Public.

and ML and FL look like villains, this i one of kind drama which shows the side of villains and try to get sympathy for them
A gold digger and her DOG who help her dig deeper.

Not Worth Watching

I honestly can't give this more than 1 star. It's bad, and I mean bad. There's really nothing good or interesting to take away from it. It's not even entertaining. I had to start skipping quite a bit as the characters became more and more idiotic with every scene.

Also, I have to mention that the FL was given absolute garbage to wear. She looked like a toddler had dressed her throughout the whole show. I wouldn't mention it except it was actually visually distracting. And her hands, awkwardly in her pockets in every scene, making her look nervous or pretentious, didn't help make the clothes less noticeable. She wore more hideous types of shorts than I knew existed. Anyways, this is more of a side note, but it became less so when they were so distracting in each scene.

Both the ML and FL were pretty much useless in this show. They seemed clueless half the time and kept allowing important documents, people, or info to get leaked, hurt, killed, or misplaced. It was a train wreck, all in the name of drama and entertainment. Drama shouldn't have to be written in such a braindead way though.

And the FL learning kick boxing and defense in jail seemed to be completely forgotten about anytime the writers needed a convenient dramatic scene or heroic rescue. I hate writing like this. It just felt like some fangirl fantasy written out on Tumblr. I have no problem with a daring rescue, but make it make sense and don't make the leads fools for it. And I love a man rescuing a woman, but in this case she can fight and he really can't. She should be doing some rescuing and she should be able to defend herself, since that was kinda the point of learning it. A pathetic kick at the end to her ex's hand was simply not enough, especially since he overpowered her at every turn cuz she sucks apparently. They needed to show that she was tough, not try to tell us with her oversized, potato sack blazers.

It was pretty bad. My point for all of this is that you shouldn't waste your time suffering through this like I did for it to get good. It never does and leaves you with a very annoying and vague ending that feels like a complete waste of 12 hours anyways. Just ugh... What a shame that they didn't do better

Poor actors

The two main actress in the show are great actors with a lot of versatility. But in this, they could not get past the writing and there was no chemistry between them. The story was bad and the writing was bad. I hope someone takes his actress and puts them in something they deserve. If you want to make a statement about marriage and divorce, don't use dramas. We just want to enjoy them.

started strong....but then what happened?

I was really excited to see Kang Ki Young as the lead and the couple was cute in the beginning! The plot started out as every other revenge plot where a naive girl is betrayed by her rich partners and decides to plan a revenge on them. Yes its a common plot but its okay, if the story is good it can still be a great show.

However....the strategies used were bad and not satisfying, there were many instances were the female lead who was depicted as someone strong and smart fell into traps and became a damsel in distress...

In regards of romance, the female lead gave almost no chance for the male lead which made it seem like the male lead was just being desperate and the romance was one-sided. When the male lead tries to stop her from making wrong decisions she just ignores it and does it anyway...

Around the halfway mark, I lost interest in the plot and romance seeing no hope for a satisfying ending...

Should have been better.

Wasted potential is a good way to describe this show. The show had great acting, well-done sets, and sound design. The story's premise was also promising, and the beginning had some impact. In the end it became just another drama nothing to write home about.

The two main settings caught my attention the evil mother-in-law and ex-husband's home is dark, and cold and has sharp objects reflecting their positioning in the story well. The Female lead's office was warm in color yet had strong and hard materials representing her position well. I always appreciate when set designers manage to do this kind of thing. The sound design was also great, and the actors all deserved a better script. The show had a lot of positives to talk about.

The story however missed the mark. The ex-family was involved in every case leaving no room for the title to breathe. It felt like a family feud the whole time, rather than a divorce expert jaded by her past relationship. The romance between the two leads was rather flat but necessary for the story I suppose. The in-show ad placement was fairly obvious almost like it was a cdrama which was something that bothered me for some reason.

Over all I would say the show was not bad, but likely to be disappointing to most people who watch it. I would not personally re-watch this on my own, however, if someone wanted me to watch with them I would not refuse. Mediocre would be my overall vote.

1st K drama in a long time that I am disappointed in

When I read reviews, I want to give the series a benefit of the doubt, especially if it has bad ratings. So, thất was the case for this series. But, nah, I agree with the reviews and the low rating for this series. I felt that I took long to finish this series, due to the storyline of it. The twelve episodes felt longer and the only reason that I decided to give this series a go was due to the drama/ movie alphabet challenge as I needed a series that started with the letter Q. In all honesty, I should have watched something else.

In these kinds of series, we are supposed to hate the villains- which I did. So, those actors portrayed their characters good, as well as the actress who was the owner of Solution. But for the main characters on the good side, they upset me from the first episode. I felt like I had more commonsense than them and the foolish things that they did. When you feel that they finally got the upper hand in the series, something happened that screws them over and they are back at square one. I just got annoyed over and over again when I was watching them. But in the end, good prevailed, leaving me only grateful that I was able to watch a series for the challenge and with the thought that I am finally done with them.

P.S- they really gave the villains the benefit of the doubt and that's why they were losing so much in the series.
PPS- so, the guy who murdered their first witness (who they told her that they would protect her if she testified?!!) is still out there, huh?
