Goes downhill fast

Started pretty good, but by the end, it felt like someone had a jar of suggestions for subplots and they were randomly digging through it to find something for the next episode. The interconnections between the characters became absurd, and they insisted on tying up every loose end in a hurry. Just like your shoelaces, badly tied means a lot of unraveling. By the last 10 episode I was pretty disgusted by it all.

Mostly, the acting ranged from adequate to dreadful. The male lead (Ahn Jae Hyun) looked stoned and zombie like much of the series, but especially at the end. If I'd had to use that dialog, I'd get stoned, too. The second male lead (Jung Eui Jae) played it all very flat, going from nasty to depressing with not much in between - but if the transition in his personality wasn't well written, there really wasn't much he could do with it.

I don't usually pan something this badly, but this was a stinker. Watch something else or read a book.

Just watch if you enjoy telenovelas

Usually, I don't comment, but I've noticed a lot of complaints, so I felt compelled to share my thoughts. For those who enjoy telenovelas, soap operas, or traditional Korean family dramas, this series is definitely worth watching. The actors are charming and add a lot to the show. However, the main issue lies with the scriptwriting. After the midpoint of the series, it seems like the writers lost direction. It appeared as if they were trying to fill a quota of episodes, leading to the story being unnecessarily dragged out. This excessive stretching detracted from the overall quality of the series. If the series had been condensed to just 10 to 12 episodes, it would likely have been much better received.

The great story between the good and the bad

It was no doubt very long episodes as I seldom watch 50 episodes drama. as I noticed the main actor and love to watch his drama gain, I started to watch this one . In fact it was a great interesing story which caters for old and young and also a good lesson for those who do bad will regret their actions they did in the past. I love the story, and all actors and actrecess did very well in their role . I enjoyed this drama, and the second 50 epsisodes drama I watched the other one was called " A young Lady and the Gentleman" which was also quite a good drama
Thank you to the screen writer , to the director and those who made this drama a great one!!

Fast moving for 50 episodes multigenerational family drama, fun to watch, shows personal growth

I love this drama because it shows a competent confident FL so her doing things is really fun to watch, you can never guess what she will do.... And ML is a charmer and a softie emotional so he is fun to watch too. Since this is a multifamily multigenerational drama, there are many parallel characters and stories and they are all good to watch. Acting is great! The story is slow for people who like to watch zombies and car chases... but the drama is a psychological thriller as you are watching many people act and react their own inner demons and then have to overcome them. This drama provides great learning about overcoming ... The only thing I would change is to add 20 lbs on female lead, she looks like an anorexic teenager and needs to get more muscle to her bare bones. She is cute and it is nice to see her face but. Male lead is gorgeous and most of the cast is gorgeous and acts very well. So bubblehead audience can just watch pretty people. Tue art lovers will have SO many opportunities to think about the plot and why things are happening and what is happening. It is really fun.

I gave 9.5 because it is not possible to give 9.8 as I wish. Because It got slow around episode 17 for a few episodes while the writers made the FL super dumb as so common in many boring kdramas. Luckily the FL is confident and smart again and creating some really fun plot twists :) She needs to stay confident and smart so that she can do more diverse and deeper and more complex acting and plot. It just adds a whole new interesting dimension and zillion opportunities to write interesting scrips for interesting characters and interesting acting.

I think this drama is a lot faster, with a lot better plot and acting than Young Lady and Gentleman, which was quite boring and frustrating except the ML but even he was so limited by really awful script with like 3 amnesias and SaRa - chaufer story and actors was lifted straight from another drama.... , Its Beautiful Now was better than YLAG but did not have much of a plot, and 3 bold siblings was better than IBN but had such weak acting from some of the main and side stories and did not show much how the characters changed and grew. 3BS became the story of the side pair who stole the show from the ML and FL bc FL was pretty but could not act and there was no chemistry between FL and ML. ML was a lot better in another drama where I saw him.

The Real Has Come writing is a lot more spunky and action moves faster, characters are more deep and complex, plot is more complex, actors are all great actors, all parallel stories are really meaningful and fun and also move fast, and overall, this is artistically and psychologically excellent. What I value the most is that this kdrama shows bad stuff for a bit just to show us what they have to overcome and then shows personal growth of the characters, so the plot moves forward, for all stories and characters. As for heartthrobs, the ML character is so charming cute sweet caring softie AND good looking that I am sure he will cause quite a lot of sighs and gain a lot of fans as his character is "the guy that every woman wants"

YOU ARE BEING UNFAIR !! :(

I don't understand how you can give a rating as low as 1, 1.5, 2..... for a drama where so much effort was put in. It's okay if the story didn't please you enough or didn't exceed your expectations, but there are people who like *LONG* dramas precisely because these stories are like that .

In reality this is more like a rant, because this didn't just happen with this drama, like how a person can look at a piece of work and give an extremely low and distressing grade, it's not cool to do that, you know? I feel really sad.

I haven't even finished the drama yet, but I've already had a good time watching it and I'm hooked, I'm sorry if you don't like it, but there are people who like it and it's very sad when there are people who are so selfish to the point of saying that a story is bad just because she didn't like it.... THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A STORY BEING BAD AND YOU DIDN'T LIKE A STORY.

WHOLESOME! WHOLESOME! WHOLESOME!

Getting a 9/10 for a weekend drama from me, speak volumes.

This drama is officially the second weekend drama that I watched without missing an episode!! 6 months, waiting every weekend just to watch this drama and religiously keeping up with the updates!! Ended up hating some characters, cursing some in the middle, rolling my eyes at some point, and laughing like an idiot in others!! Sometimes I got frustrated, and sometimes mad enough to flip the table, My heart when fluffy in some scenes and even felt like crying in others. Every step was fun. there was character development and story development was gradual, there was no obvious rushing at the end. This ticks off as one of those perfect weekend dramas.

Imho a pretty good watch, the right amount of drama, love story, clusterfucks and well written

One of the more solid long dramas.
Watching the ninth episode, no idea how it may develop in the next 40 episodes however I am really into the story.
It is about a pregnancy and fake marriage that likely turns to love.
The roles are well cast, the actors all do a very solid job.
It doesn't consist out of 95% doormat smashing without repercussions, they make up a very low amount of scenes and are not over the top.
The scenes that carry the story, give comic relief and so on, are in a majority very well done.
If you liked ANY fake marriage kdrama, there is a high chance you might like this a lot.

Turn and twist

It takes almost 7 episodes for it to start äand get intresting. They took a long a way to getos the story ng "get to know" the characters, but it's a 50-part series, so there will be a lot of twists and turns. But it's going to be interesting and this one is better than the previous 50 part series which was called something like the three bold siblings. But I imagine this series will have a lot of sides storys, particular in 50 part series not everythingwho ends happily ever after. I'm looking forward to following it but i would have liked to see more episodes a week as the series makes you want you to see more. I look forward to every Saturday/Sunday.

Dire. Sorry. The Real Has come was all over my FB shorts listings, looking interesting, so I thought I'd have a butchers. It's a moderately interesting premise with the potential to explore some topics unusual in Kd, especially in romcom.
First - it turns out to be 50 eps long (I never thought to check first, bottoms!) If it were condensed to about 16 eps it might be a much stronger story, ditching many of the crap characters and focussing instead on the real dilemmas faced by ML and FL.
Second after 4 eps, Every. Single. Character - apart from about 4 of them - is apparently toxic, manipulative, weak, selfish or a narcissist - or a combination of all of the above. Faced with the prospect of 46 more episodes of this, I am absconding.
Third - already I am FF through all those sections not directly involving the ML or FL.
Fourth - I'm not usually affected by poor production values, but most of this looks like it has been done on the very-very-cheap. Not saying that sets actually wobble, but some of them look very close to that.
Fifth - even though I really like the ML, FL and some of the individual characters close to them who display anomalous traits of emotional maturity and honesty, I can't see me putting up with this cliched and trite writing for much longer.
Sixth - There is humour, but it all seems to hang on the atrocious behaviour of those toxic and conniving characters, and as a result I find it deeply unfunny.
Seven - it occurs to me that perhaps the reason this has been all over my FB feed is that it is just rubbish. I feel desperately bad for the actors - many of whom are just great!
So ... NO. I really don't think that with this drama the Real HAS come at all, and nor do I think it will arrive any time soon. Unless you have a particularly masochistic streak, just don't.
Of course, if it's your cup of tea, then that's OK. We're all different.

Good soap

Contract marriage type drama with friendship and a balanced contract. It's a SOAP. So avoid if you can't deal with soap. lol But it's really nice for a soap, with the lead couple being friends from the beginning. I don't normally watch these family dramas, they're normally too slow for me. But this one has been less slow than a usual family drama.

The theme can be triggering if you have trauma related to pregnancy, but also maybe easier to relate to. The characters other than the main leads tend to be very hard on the leads emotionally, too.

SO outdated and clichéd

Dreadfully dated.
Bad soap opera feel to it, with cheap looking sets.
Outdated characters ~ supposedly 'hicky' working class family, with the usual debts caused by parents, reliant on the one sensible, more successful family member, who is pressured and leeched off; money grabbing mother of status seeking daughter, with long suffering father in another family; slapping of faces; class distinction (based on wealth, certainly not 'class'); controlling grandmother of wealthy family who seems sweet, but is cruel and callous; bitchy females; jealousy and vindictive characters; ffrom what I heard, a forgetful ost.
Just dreadful. I could not watch past ep4. The acting is so hammy, stiff and forced ~ almost farcical.
What was Ahn Jae-hyun thinking? I was so looking forward to seeing his first drama in too long, but whilst he isn't dreadful in it, sadly also not fabulous enough to make me stay. I hope he was paid well.
Anyone who loves soap operas, OTT characters and behaviour, with clichés by the bucket load ~ this will not disappoint. Sadly not for me at all.
