ML and FL both can repeatedly time travel but only back to a certain point in time to try to survive events that end in their deaths. They're the only ones who retain the memory of what happened before, and work together, first as allies, then friends, and then fall in love.

Both are about an object that allows one or both of the leads to travel back a few hours in time to undo their deaths as they try to figure out who is killing them.

Both are about an arranged marriage between two very different kingdoms, one of which is looked down upon by the other.

Both the leads are connected in some magical way and keep dying over and over and moving slightly back in time, trying to figure out how to survive the events that caused their death the first time.

Dramatic Self-Help Strategy also involves a couple in a time loop during Ancient China. The two have to work together to survive.

They both involve time travel. While JFL is only for a moment back in time and TPR they travel back 20 years. Both involve the couple traveling back together. Both show a couple that had misgivings and who did not get along but later on they create a strong bond.

Both involve schemes in the court that can only be stopped because of the time travel to give the couple the edge.
