Half a year has passed since the official approval of TOKYO MER. Kitami is racking his brains over the issue of a second doctor to replace Otowa, who has left the team in order to expand MER to ordinance-designated cities nationwide. Some members of the team want Hina to be promoted, but Otowa asserts that Hina should pursue her path of cardiovascular surgery. She felt the pressure that Hina could take Otowa's place, and she was troubled. At that time, Aoto comes to MER as a support doctor. Aoto, like Otowa, is a medical officer at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and is ostensibly dispatched as a candidate for a second doctor, but the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has some motives behind it. At that point, a collision accident between a large water bus and a houseboat occurs on the Sumida River. The houseboat, which lost control while carrying many injured people, went out of control. The MER members rush to the scene, but they can't even board because they can't come alongside. Furthermore, it was discovered that there was a possibility of an explosion with many patients on board due to a fuel leak inside the bottom of the ship. Kitami and his friends set out on an unexpected strategy to rescue the people left behind. It was truly a life-or-death challenge... Enjoyable
Tokyo MER has been interesting so far. This SP is as intense as the previous series and I love the character development in this SP. It was a very enjoyable 70 minutes, I felt like it was a 45-mins episode lol.All the cast did a good job, especially Suzuki Ryohei. I think this drama wouldn't be as intense as it is without his acting. Kaku Kento also did a good job portraying the stoic man. Can't wait to watch the movie! It would be nice to see Tokyo MER x Yokohama MER saving lives together ?
