42 year old Yoko is single and lives in Tokyo. Her hometown is Hirosaki, Aomori prefecture. She has given up on her life and spends her time meaninglessly as a freeter. One day, she hears news of her estranged father’s death. In the past, her father opposed her dream and, after that, she didn’t speak to her father for the next 20 years. In order to attend her father’s funeral, Yoko, her cousin Shigeru and his family drive off to Hirosaki. On the way, they stop at a rest area and Shigeru’s child causes trouble. Shigeru’s family is preoccupied by the trouble caused and leave Yoko behind at the rest area. Yoko doesn’t have any money on her and she hesitates to go any further, but she decides to hitchhike her way to Hirsaki. She meets various people along the way as the funeral approaches for noon the next day. (Source:Asianwiki) ~~ Release dates: Jun 16, 2023 (Festival) || Jul 28, 2023 (Cinema) Edit Translation
