Jinny’s Kitchen is a Great a Show
This show is wonderful?I t teaches you how to cook basic Korean Fast food. I’m from American ?? so I’m really Excited to learn. The Cast is amazing. They have some very famous actors cooking and serving food. From Lee Seo Jin, Park Seo Joon. YuMi, Choi Wooshik and the World Star himself ( BTS V) Kim Taehyung. This show is over all funny and educational. I’s kinda like a sitcom but it’s also calming and relaxing.Intern Tae-hyung is Absolutely amazing ; he has chemistry with everyone. He’s funny and hard-working.
I can’t wait for next week to watch another episode.

Excellent food show
This was an excellent show; a beautiful adventure with a fun team. CEO Lee was the quirky boss with a sense of humor. Executive Director Yu worked the hardest, rolling gimbap and making rice bowls. Senior Chef Park made perfect fricken, ramyeon and corn dogs, and worked the front kitchen, too. Intern Choi was Server and PR Manager, conversing in mutiple languages with dinner guests. Intern Kim washed pots and dishes, and made delicious fricken. Security Guard Inspector Perro was diligent. I hope he got meals every day of operation. The team work and comraderie was amazing. They demonstrated that language, culture and a sense of humor have no barriers. Perro and Tae Hyung were my most favorite employees.
All the foods looked delicious. Food presentation was superb. Yu Mi and Park Seo Jin worked like professional chefs. Senior Intern Kim Tae Hyung made some beautiful looking fricken and ramyeon.
I was sad that the restaurant closed down after a week. It could have gone on forever. Ceo Lee should have studied the logistics of when to open and close the restaurant, for effective sales performance. I believe siesta time is a popular habit in Mexico.

If I could, I would rate this 11 stars
Jinny's Kitchen has become almost a near to perfect comfort watch for me for the entirety of its run time. It has allowed me not only to have a laugh at the funny situations that the staffs, circumstances and also the atmosphere brings but also allowed to face a new kind of variety program one might not often attach it with. A cooking show that allowed food to become much more than just a medium of nutrition and that allowed it to elevate it to become a sense of soothing comfort, almost like good music is incredible. It is also incredible that we are looking at Korea's biggest stars ( Wooshik has acted in an Oscar winning film as a protagonist, Seojun is soon to be in a Marvel movie and Taehyung part of the legendary BTS, Yumi and Seojin both superstars of Korean drama, film and television ) and yet they all show a real slice of life. Not to say it hits reality or that it even needs to, but the sense of comfort and connection you sense while watching this show is an applause to everyone involved in it.
The cast is perfect. Their chemistry hits right off, the healthy companionship and team spirit they all showed throughout helped make it a wonderful watch for anyone who wants to have a fun time feeling all fuzzy.
This might be the most low stakes Korean reality show I have watched and yet it kept me on my toes. Whenever there was a rush of customers or the goals of money to be fulfilled, those were moments where I felt my adrenaline rush thanks to the tension, happiness, joy and much more that just leep off the screen.

A very hypnotic, relaxing watch
I can't get over how much I enjoyed this show. I mean, c'mon it's a reality cooking show, for heaven's sake! That said, I've been recommending it to everyone. First, I'm fascinated by the Korean culture. What got me watching K-dramas to begin with was their culture - I love the way they interact with one another and their respect for each other. And the food, of course!I've watched the previous iterations of the show and enjoyed them for the most part, but there was just something different here. I looked forward to the episode every week and just watching them cook made me so relaxed. There was no stress or drama (for me at least)! Bacalar was a beautiful place and we got to see a little of it through their eyes.
I also loved how people recognized Woo Shik from Parasite. They were impressed and then went back to eating. I DID love the one older woman that was ARMY, with her eyes trained on the kitchen door to catch a glimpse of Taehyung. That was pretty much the only fangirling moment.
I hope they can do another season of this someplace else, perhaps in upstate South Carolina?

Let's be honest with ourselves! I only watched this for one reason and one reason only: I missed Tae!Despite that, this show was actually enjoyable and I got really into it. Be warned though. You will catch the worst case of munchies and want to cry as the craving for Korean food will reach an all-time high! The food looks SO good! I craved stuff I've never even tried (and probably never will because I can't eat spicy food)!
The cast really grows on you, even if you're only here for Taehyung. Still, he was the best part and I personally think, the show could have MORE Tae. Yeah. Personal comment: More Tae!
Plot: The plot is very straightforward. They just run a restaurant. Someone mentioned that it gets repetitive and well...yeah! It's the same thing over and over! You don't watch this for the plot! The people are why you sit through this so if you're hoping for some special event or exciting incident, this is gonna be boring. But the human interaction aspect is so fun. It's also lovely to see all the people who try Korean food for the first time. Those who keep coming back. The funny or cute interactions. It's all fun and wholesome in small doses.
Cast: I'm gonna say it, I don't much like Seo Jin. I said what I said. He was mean in unreasonable ways and call me a protective Army but I didn't like how he talked to Tae, either! It wasn't just me though! I was watching with non-Armys and they all said he was acting weird even before I said anything. I almost didn't watch this because I knew Seo Jin would be mean but ultimately, it was worth it so he's not a turn-off. He wasn't all bad. He had his moments but eh. Least favorite character. Yu Mi is an angel! I came out of this, feeling so impressed by her. She rolled those Gimbaps like a pro! Standing on her feet all day long, making so much, and never complaining. What a sweetheart. I'm gonna check out her other works just because she was so sweet. I also really grew to like Seo Joon and Woo Shik whom I didn't like before. I didn't dislike these random actors but I was pretty indifferent toward them but then, Seo Joon impressed me with his professionalism and focus and Woo Shik is just such a charismatic, kind, and warm person! It was really delightful to watch him interact with the customers. I might make a second attempt to watch Our Beloved Summer... And Tae. What do you want me to say?! He worked so hard! I'm so proud of him! They said he was slow. HE WAS NOT SLOW! Omg...he could barely make noodles before this!lol...and he was very cute. The whole family is in love with him now!
Music: BTS music: perfection! Classic music: also perfection. The rest of the songs were good too.
Rewatch: Yeah...I actually watched this show twice already! We basically watched every episode twice so...very high rewatachability!
Conclusion: If you like cooking shows, watch it! If not, don't! lol

Entertaining
I really love watching Jinny's Kitchen. The chemistry between the cast is great. The plot is simple but, endearing. The location is well thought of, as many tourists visit Mexico. They got diversity in the guests who try their Korean street food. I got to know the taste of Korean food mainly because of BTS esp. V. I didn't like kimchi before but I now cook kitchen fried rice and my children love Korean food, too. V is so naturally funny, charismatic & captivating & you can't help but, be drawn to him. Woo Shik is another naturally fine actor. The Wooga squad including Seo Joon elevates the entertainment value of Jinny's Kitchen. I look forward to the next episodes and I re-watch the past ones while waiting for the next one. I got my husband to watch Jinny's Kitchen on Amazon Prime with me. And, he is not a BTS fan. He finds the show enjoyable to watch. Keep it up. Cheers! Was this review helpful to you?
LOVED IT!
I truly enjoyed this show. I am a fan of Lee Seo Jin and love his work. This show gave me a whole new perspective of these great actors/singers. They really worked hard, the show was funny, entertaining and I learned a lot about Korean dishes that I will try making at home. My family all love Korean dishes and we are from the USA. One particular scene that stands out is when a group went to the restaurant but it had already closed and I believe it was the last night for the customers in Bacalar. Lee Seo Jin conversed with the group and they agreed to serve the customers. Lee Seo Jun went out to get them and they serviced the customers even though they were visibly tired. That was very thoughtful of the group. I was really impressed with everyone's skills on the show. I presume that it was real. Thanks for the hard work everyone!!!Was this review helpful to you?
Korean food in Mexico
Jinny's Kitchen (2023)Likes
1. Every episode made me hungry and craving for teokbokki and corndogs! I think every one who watched the show have attempted to at least try one of the recipes at home.
2. Love their restaurant, it looked so bright and inviting. I would prolly go there every day to eat instant ramen prepared by PSJ.
3. Love the team work esp the 2 hardworking interns. Amazed at PSJ who is so calm under pressure. Yumi has mastered the art of gimbap. Seojin is still the grumpy boss.
Dislikes
1. The episodes were repetitively showing how they cook the dishes.
2. Not enough interaction with the customers. I know they were busy but the chefs could have gone out more and talked to the customers.
Rating: 8/10

Korean cuisine
Jinny's Kitchen is a great variety show to laugh, relax and experience some Korean cuisine. I didn't expect that I would feel so close to my idols, especially V and Park Seo Joon. In addition, we can visit the city of Bacalar in Mexico, it is a beautiful and cozy little town, I will definitely visit it in person soon. It's an addictive variety show that's enchanting from the start. I thought it was amazing how hardworking everyone was and how they cooked in the best way, even though they weren't professional cooks. They woke up early to start a tiring day of work, arrived at the accommodation and went to prepare dinner, always having a great time. You can really see up close how crazy Tae is about noodles.
Choi is the only one who didn't really like working in Jinny's kitchen ?, but he overcame all the tiredness and managed to do a lot until the end, including being largely responsible for hitting the last day's goal, that was really funny. When I watched the last episode I was already missing everyone.
I definitely recommend everyone to watch it, you will love it and feel that you are very close.

So Much Fun
11 episodes of pure joy. I smiled for nearly every single. second. If you’re a fan of Kim Tae Hyung, Choi Woo Shik, or Park Seo Joon, there’s is no reason not to watch this. Even if you’ve never heard of the cast, if you enjoy cooking shows or behind the scenes restaurant shows you will enjoy this. There’s also an audience here for people who like reality shows in general, or who enjoy watching best friends tease each other. This could also appeal to people who like travel shows; they did a good job selling me on taking a vacation to Bacalar.
