great plot, mid execution
thanks to this drama i realized i don't like to binge revenge dramas, and that i prefer to watch them as they air.park minyoung is one of my favorite actreess and i loved watching a drama that styled her her age. her performance was immaculate and really helped you feel her pain.
jeong sumin became one of my favorite villians and i really wish the second half of the revenge was focused on her, as i feel she had potential to do a lot of damage. she had so much potential, i really wish we had gotten a change to see her thrive because oh yara opaqued her.
overall a great drama. i wish the production team had done better to bring it to life in terms of plot and pacing.
ps: i loved the bts nod here! finding out you're not the only one in the past because of a bts song was neat.

They Survived The Great War
I won't say much, just will take a moment to say how much this drama captivated me. For me, at least, it was beautiful from beginning to end. I cried with tears at the end, I'm going to miss them so much. 2024 started off amazing and now my Mondays and Tuesdays will no longer be the same. The adaptaion itself was not the best of all times, sure, but it was good enough. The cast did an amazing job and i loved every character (yes, even the bad - excluding yura -, because they were being amazing bad characters). And the OST??? Oh My, i will be listening to it in repeat for now on.Was this review helpful to you?

Oh. My. GOD!
I can't tell you how much I loved this show, it was just so wow.the story was interesting and the acting was so good. What I didn't like that much was the fact that they all acted like they're in their early/mid twenties when they are in there thirties. Aside from that, it still was a very enjoyable watch.
All of the characters were different and I liked (almost) everyone.
Here is what I thought of them (not all of them, got no time).
Kang Ji Won- I really liked her especially after she got rid of Park Min Hwan. That toss am I right?
Yoo Ji Hyuk- I also really liked him. No wait, I LOVED him! He is such a green flag!!
Park Min Hwan- Don't like him.
Jeong Su Min- She can go to hell.
Yoo Hi Hyun- I really liked her bubblely personality and the way she talked about food. I was kinda suprised with what she did to Baek Eun Ho in the last episode but it was so cute that I couldn't help but kick my feet.
Baek Eun Ho- He was nice, sweet and very likeable.
Yang Ju Run- I liked her and I felt pity for her. She really is a nice person.
Lee Suk Joon- I thought he was nice to people especially to Yang Ju Run, I liked their little relationship.
Oh Yu Ra- That amkae.
I know this review might not help you but I just wrote down things about the characters so you'll know who you can trust. Anyway, goodbye lovely reader.

Magnificent, Suspenseful & Romantic Drama
It's a fantasy revenge drama about a woman who witnesses the affair between her best friend and her husband, and is murdered by them, she goes back in time to change her future and seek revenge. This kdrama is also based on webtoon. (This has became new trend), but as per webtoon readers, makers have done some changes.
You get invested in the drama from 1st scene.
Story progresses with ample twists & turns, though we already know where it is heading.
Casting of Park Min-young as FL and Lee Yi-kyung as main villain is perfect. Specially Lee Yi-kyung is not only good in his villainous acts but he was equally good in comedy scenes. Park Min-young does what she is famous for. Her acting is perfect.
Na In-woo has wooden face but he is ok as lead as his only duty is to support FL. Good enough romantic scenes between leads.
1st female villain, is good in dramatic scenes but she screamed a lot, which was annoying.
In later episodes they bring another female vamp, which is not needed, she just increases the screen time.
It's a soap opera type kdrama, good watch for kdrama lovers.
Supporting cast is good. Drama ends with predictable happy ending. I enjoyed watching it.

Transmigration/Second Chance
FL gets a second chance at life! And also takes revenge on those that harmed her before. The definite standout for this drama was the actress for Soo Min. She was the perfect, most detestable villain, and honestly made Yoo Ra (the antagonist girlfriend that came in later episodes) seem like a normal person.
There were a couple of infuriating episodes (I'm looking at you, episodes 12 and 13) and also my gripe on how the ML seemed to have no personality outside of the FL, but overall, this was a good transmigration drama with a satisfying happy ending.

The idea is there but.....
I liked the story overall. I think the idea could have been more in-depth and worked on. Right at the beginning, in all the episodes, they rushed a lot and I think they skipped a lot of important points. There is a gap between the end of the episode and the beginning of the next episode. This made me a little confused at times.
As for the actors, I liked their performance and the way they tried to convey the feelings they were feeling. It made me feel closer to the drama ?
I enjoyed watching the drama but I wouldn't watch it again.

Amei Assistir ?

Mostly good
Honestly, the drama should have ended after 12 episodes, after Min Hwan and Soo Min got married. That seemed to be the logical conclusion to the main plot of revenge and second chances. Instead, we got new characters and convoluted plotlines for the next 4 episodes involving an evil ex-fience and greedy parents. Those elements were completely unnecessary and felt very forced just to stretch the story until the last episode. The acting was mostly good. The villains were very convincing. But I was not so sure about Ji Hyuk. I liked Na In Woo in River Where the Moon Rises, but aloof characters just don't work. Even the most stiff-looking character needs a personality and he cannot fully hide emotions. Ji Hyuk was uninteresting most of the time and that affected his chemistry with Ji Won. The kissing was hot, but everything else in between was kind of bland.

They had a really incredible idea, but…

Excellent storyline and acting
This is a drama that has it all; mystery, steamy romance, revenge, plot twist, and villains you love to hate. It was a drama that kept me watching from start to finish without feeling bored, which is a rarity. After over a dozen years of watching Asian dramas you get bored very easily because you’ve seen it all. But this drama had some amazing acting and a meaningful plot which made up for its weak points(there weren’t that many but I’ll address that later. )
Acting:
The actors were amazing at putting you through all of the emotions. You really feel their pain, determination, and triumph. There are a number of villains that did a great job of making you hate them without being annoying which is hard to do. The FL’s transformation from a timid pushover to a tigress is quite convincing, you’ll be rooting for her in no time. The ML was very convincing as the lovelorn overprotective CEO that only has eyes for the FL and will do anything to keep her safe, even if it means sacrificing his happiness. None of the characters felt flat, nor did they overact their parts either. Everyone straight across the board did a fantastic job. Acting 10/10
Storyline:
The plot had depth as well as a few unexpected twists which was refreshing. The FL’s best friend’s obsession with her adds so much depth to the story, I found her story fascinating. And I like that the plot involved more than the FL just going back in time and changing her destiny. Her having to adjust her actions in order to beat destiny or fate gave me ‘Final Destination’ vibes (if you haven’t seen that movie you’re missing out). It made the plot so much more interesting and faster paced than expected. I also liked that they didn’t sugarcoat everything and have the villains suddenly see the light and change their ways at the end. I hate it when they do that, it’s not realistic at all. There are a few cliche drama tropes that we’ve all seen in dramas before but overall it’s so well acted and so well written that I didn’t mind them at all. There’s character depth, character growth and character development which made this drama shine. Storyline 9.5/10
Romance:
Most reviews don’t cover this subject very well but if it’s a romcom or romance is a big part of the drama I think it should be addressed as well. This romance is a bit of a slow burn, it takes a while for the main leads to get together. But when they do get together there’s lots of hugs, kisses, and skinship. I loved their romance, they had great chemistry. And while some complain about the introduction of Yura later in the drama and her interference with the main couple, I didn’t mind her at all. She was a much needed character that helped fill plot holes that would have occurred had she not been there. While she was a bit irritating, her character is integral to the storyline. And her ending was quite satisfying. Romance: 8/10
Underlying Meaning/Message:
I’m going to add this category to every review now because I think it’s important to critique this aspect of a drama as well. If a drama has a weak or unclear underlying message or lacks one completely then that’s a big deal. Because in order to touch your heart it needs to be teaching a lesson, inspiring you, or sending an underlying message of some sort. Without that it leaves you empty and feeling like you got nothing out of watching it. This drama has a very clear underlying message: If you’re unhappy don’t accept your fate in life, fight to change it. There are many paths in life and you can change yours if you really try. It also teaches us about trust, how to stand up for ourselves, and how to believe in ourselves even when no one else does. Meaning/Message: 8/10
Summary:
This drama is not perfect, there’s a lot of cliche drama tropes and the storyline wasn’t too hard to predict. And they took a little too long to get the main leads together. But the storyline, acting and romance were all quite good. I really enjoyed watching it and will probably rewatch it again sometime in the future. It’s a great drama and I highly recommend it. Final score: 9

Finding your own happiness
Kang Ji Won taking her revenge, growing and finding her own peace and happiness is all very dear to me. Her character was just so wonderful and wholesome, I am so happy she found her happiness and took back control of her own life. This show was really good from start to finish, even if episode 12 was maybe a little rough for our couple – I didn’t care and it wasn’t even as bad as people said, honestly, some were incredibly dramatic lmao.Ji Won finding two new girl-friends was just so pure and beautiful, and all three of them being happy in the end fulfilled me too! I wish we would have gotten more of Eun Ho x Hee Yeon and Mr. Lee x Mrs. Yang because they were all so cute in their own way, but the show didn’t give them as much room ?. I also think that BoA is not very suitable as an actress for this role, her acting was really bland compared to Song Ha Yoon and Park Min Young, who acted like rent was due. Overall, very satisfied with this show, I am happy to know that it was successful and that we got the most beautiful K-Drama wedding ever!❣️

This rant is from a couple weeks ago lol, anyway:
One thing that has bothered me a lot while reading the comments on this page, is that people seem to be too focused on the "taking revenge" part of the story. In my opinion this show isn't about revenge, it's about self-discovery and self-growth. It's about finding peace, and getting rid of something that has ruined you before but that you won't let define you this time. In her previous life, Ji Won put herself last, not even second or third, but last. She was never her own priority, people walked all over her, she got sick and then she was accidentally killed (but how much longer until MH and SM actually killed her?). In her second life she gets a new chance. She gets to get rid of SM and MH, yes, but she also gets to change her appearance, she gets to learn and do new things, she gets to enjoy life, she gets to meet new people who truly appreciate her, she gets to find her inner peace without needing anyone's apology in order to get it.
Her newly found self isn't perfect, and we see how it's a slow progress because she was abused (twice) after all. People complaining why she didn't leave MH once she travelled back are so... annoying? Are you watching the show? Do you understand the characters? SM is a scumbag because she likes taking things and people away from Ji Won. It happened with Eun Ho in highschool and it happened again when she stole her "other half's" husband. If MH isn't Ji Won's, there is no fun is stealing him from Ji Won. Because THAT is the catch. SM is truly a deranged and nasty woman because she does everything in her power to isolate JW from anyone so that she is the only person ever (which is, surprise, pretty abusive).
Ji Won is playing mind games, planting insecurity and at the same time a sense of superiority into SM and MH's minds. They THINK she has no idea, but of course she does. That's the whole plan. Ji Won is not a weak woman here, she's a victim of abuse - several kinds of abuse actually: domestic, emotional, physical. Like, she's BEEN through it. And you want her to be normal about it? Do you think she's healed in 2 seconds just because she took revenge and found a decent man? You don't heal from stuff like this that quickly. Sometimes, it comes back. And we get to see that from time to time.
That's it, anyway, the show is great. I like the visuals and the acting as well as the OST! The cinematography is also great, especially in E11 when JW and JH went to the beach ?? I'll go more in depth once the show is over.
