bardzo dobra drama.
Polecam!

Was this review helpful to you?
2nd chance time travel
what I loved about this drama is the step by step explanation on why a narcissist behaves the way he(she) behaves.this drama touched me in a very personal way. I had a toxic relationship that took the wrong slide in 2013, and ended in 2020. I dreamed so much about a time traveling offering me a second chance to handle my ex. after the break up, I realized that my ex is a narcissist. I started learning what this is and how it impacts your relationship with them, and most importantly, what you can do to help (heal) them, or to save yourself.
there are a lot of dramas out there staging narcissistic relationships, but this one was the more informational in my eyes. probably because I finally am able to recognize narcissism when I come across it, and I learned enough about this to know what kind of manipulations they usually use, and how it works.
so for me this drama was like "you know kung-fu? show me!"
and it came to my mind that I probably watched a lot of dramas, and series, and movies about narcissists, without appreciating all the variations of their personalities. with this drama, I did. and I really enjoyed the role play of soomin, the SFL, the big villain of the drama. she was awesome! and I think that it must be very enjoyable to rewatch the show, knowing how this will end, and really appreciate her slow transformation.
there are a lot more things that could have been done, which is why I gave a 8.5/10. but, that's a very nice essay on narcissism, almost a school case.
when to watch? the story is a little complex, keep it for a relaxed week-end.
audience: not under 15, there is a lot of violence (words, physical, psychological)
enjoy !

Lee Yi Kyung was the biggest highlight.
Before starting to analyse the drama itself, I would like to praise the art director and visual effects team who created and made the beautiful scene of the petals dancing with the air in the art gallery, contrasting with the gigantic painting. It was one of the most beautiful and touching things I have ever seen in a drama. Everything there fit together: the couple, the painting, the colours, the lighting; everything worked very well.Regarding the drama, the success in terms of audience and ratings was deserved, but I don't think it needed to have 16 episodes. I believe that in 10 to 12 episodes, we would have had a more robust story, without too much dragging. I confess that from episode 11 onwards, I noticed a more sluggish plot, with the clear intention of saving the main decisive events for the last two episodes. The secondary and tertiary couples had no development at all, which is a shame. Nevertheless, it was a good drama that had an extremely interesting synopsis. I liked it.
I would like to give an honourable and positive mention to Lee Yi-kyung's performance, which was exceptional and above average in portraying the comical and heartless scoundrel Min-Hwan. On the other hand, a not so positive mention goes to BoA, who had more facial expressions than actual acting. In my opinion, her character did not add anything significant.

Very good pace of action
Very good movie. I recommend! fans of dramas about changing one's fate and second chances will be pleased. A film very similar to "Perfect marriage revenge". Very good acting - maybe PMY cries a little too much, but overall it's ok. The chemistry between the main characters is visible and full of tenderness. My greatest appreciation was gained by the second couple, Lee Yi Kyung and Song Ha Yoon. they were amazing.. aggression, hatred, jealousy - all this could be seen in their eyes.. Song Ha Yoon outdid herself in the final scene with madness in her eyes. and you also have a sweet ending... I don't know if it's too sweet. :)Was this review helpful to you?
Didn't meet the expectations
I had read the webtoon much before the drama aired. I was really skeptical about the live action because they aren't usually as good.Storyline: It was okay till 11th episode, but completed useless after that. I had to force myself to complete it. They had so many unnecessary plots. The male female lead misunderstanding was so cliché, I was shocked that today's dramas can have this cringe plot too. The revenge part was okay, the typical plot made it boring.
Acting and Cast: Song Ha Yoon and Lee Yi Kyung carried the whole show alone. Heeyeon character was great too. The mother's character was annoying but that made them a really great actors. I had much more expectations from the female lead. Oh Yoo Ra character was completely useless, annoying and emotionless. The main lead chemistry wasn't too good either. Mr. Kim's character was really similar to the webtoon and his greasy acting was great.
The actors choice would have been better and the plot could have been better too if the didn't add the misunderstanding or fight and all part.
I usually don't give bad reviews because I understand it takes alot of efforts to make a drama or a movie. Overall I'd say it's great they didn't change much of the storyline from the webtoon but wherever they did, it wasn't great. Many things could have been done better. I won't think it as a comfort drama or something I'd want to watch. Probably something I just watched cause I didn't have anything else.

The last half of the show started to drag a bit due to the pointless introduction of Oh Yura but other than that, this show kept me entertained.

Great in the first half, rapidly slips off in the second
Its just fine. Park Min-young looks pretty and does a decent job while the male lead did not manage to impress. The main villains, however, (Song Ha-yoon and Lee Yi-kyung) did SUCH a good job- they carried the show single handedly. The psychological manipulation and desperation was portrayed so well, especially by Song Ha-yoon. Apart from that, the side characters were cute and nice, but couldn't hold my interest for long. Overall, it's an okay drama- watch it on a lazy weekend. Was this review helpful to you?
Engaging....
Hey,you can hardly ask more from this drama. The story is not one of a kind but it's superb in it's own right. The story is engaging and you'll not find it boring if you know what you're into.
I give thumbs up to the actors for doing amzing job on this one.
The romance is good, even better compared to other romantic dramas.
This is probably one of the satisfying ending you'll find out there.
The villains and the hero/heroines both get what they deserve, everything is justified for me.
9.5

a satisfying revenge story that should have left romance alone
this show is at its very best when it showcases the FL and the SFL. their scenes are electrifying, elevated further by song ha yoon's exemplary portrayal of the abominable soomin. FL serving both SFL and SML what they deserved is the heart of the show, and it is so very satisfying to watch the SFL + SML slowly ruin themselves all the while thinking they have the longer end of the stick, and only realizing too late that they've walked straight into the trap they thought they laid for FL.but that's what the show is good at. the revenge.
the romance between FL and ML is already bland and unengaging in and of itself, but it becomes criminally annoying when juxtaposed with the off-the-charts energy of the revenge story. i found yoo ji hyuk's character especially uninspired. he's a run-of-the-mill cardboard cutout love interest that was thrust into the midst of two well-established, fully developed characters. what is good old 'rich boy with a dark past' jihyuk against the disgusting minhwan, a weak-minded clown of a unapologetic scumbag, or the ruthlessly manipulative, deliciously narcissistic soomin? i wasn't a fan of na in woo's portrayal, either. it's almost always the same sad, tortured expression, and you can argue that it's just how his character is, but to me it felt like emotional constipation and a little too reminiscent of his performance in Mr. Queen (which i was not a fan of either). the latter half of the show spent too much time on FL & ML's romance, and added further unnecessary makjang elements only tangentially related to the core revenge against SML & SFL, so if you don't like the romance, there's essentially nothing to gain from those scenes. let's not get started on the addition of the totally eyeroll-inducing ex-fiance character.
that said, the revenge was schadenfreude at its finest and will get you invested in the story for a good chunk of the show's run. the latter half of the show, however, was a major letdown in its failure to focus on what we care about most -- jiwon bringing about soomin's downfall.

They shouldn't have changed the original plot...
When I fisrt learned there would be a TV series adaptation from this webtoon, I got really excited. To be honest, I started reading marry my husband once, but couldn't last more than three episodes because I found it really hard to digest. Jiwon's story is not just sad, but devastating in any way.Nevertheless, I could finish reading it and finally started watching the drama. I must say: it's a whole experience! It catched my attention from the first episode until the end, the cast was amazingly selected so they could look just like their characters. And the tension is real.
But what made me sad was the fact that in the middle of the story, they added another character, who's not a part of the original story and changed the whole storyline. In my point of view, the true villain wasn't that bad compared to Ji Hyuk's ex-wife or even the real Sumin, the one in the webtoon series. Probably the worst flaw, but thankfully it didn't ruin everything at all; it could just have been better.

Hats off to the second female lead, she really got my blood boiling and had me screaming delulu! at my TV screen.
I will definitely recommend this drama and can see my self watching again. I loved the lesson being sent …>the fact that a person doesn’t show their pain or wear it on their sleeves, doesn’t mean they have it better than you.
