A husband and wife off the Phra Khanong canal. With Mae Nak pregnant, her husband Mak is conscripted into military service. While he's away, Nak dies during childbirth. When Mak returns, all seems well. However, he soon learns the truth from the villagers, that he's living with ghosts. Mak attempts to run and hide, provoking Mae Nak's wrath.
