It's a strange choice you may think putting down a modern drama as a recommendation - but hear me out.
It's the Personality of the OTP and dynamics of their relationship.
It's the "hazing" the FL goes through before she can set up on her own terms.
It's the ML who (loves making profit) does not interfere in her pursuits but admires her gumption and perseverance.
Its the way FL works her way around people and gets them on board.
It's as engaging a watch for the journey of a woman who lost everything and had to build up from scratch
Mudan and her maternal side legacy of peonies
Jiang Hu and her paternal sides shoe making legacy.

- Both FL have been married before
- Both FL are smart and intelligent, and overcome the (many) difficulties that come their way.
- Both ML are powerful and help the FL
*The Double is a little more focused on revenge, while Flourished Peony is more focused on personal and professional growth, but the dynamics between the leads are similar.

If you became a fan of Yang Zi from Flourished Peony, I definitely recommend you watch one of her famous shows, Ashes of Love. Of course, the main lead is Yang Zi with two other men. EVERYTHING is amazing in Ashes of Love. The acting, the plot, the scenery, the ost, etc. Everyone's acting in that show was absolutely phenomenal especially Yang Zis. If you're a fan of Yang Zi and her acting skills, go try Ashes of Love.

The ML and FL in both drama are smart and cunning.
You will get the same interaction atmosphere between FL and ML. They will both argue with each other but sparks of romance will emerge from this interaction.
The ML both have same goofy personalities and he also became an important person in the empire but he is not an emperor.
The FL also both started businesses from scratch. And become succesfull in the end.
And just like in are you the one, it is possible that in the last half (season 2 flourished peony) the drama will focus more on war, politics and the struggle for power.
But this is a more serious version of are you the one. The tone is a bit more serious and a bit sadder than are you the one.

Both dramas highlight resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. The protagonists of Flourished Peony and Blossom are faced with situations where they need to overcome personal and societal expectations. Whether it’s navigating the power dynamics in a royal setting or managing career and family pressure, both characters show determination in staying true to themselves. They share a focus on character-driven stories, emotional depth, and themes of self-discovery. The main difference lies in their setting—Flourished Peony offers a historical drama filled with political intrigue, while Blossom offers a more contemporary narrative grounded in personal ambition and relationships.
