IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE SUCH NAIVE PPL RIGHT , KEEP ON TRUSTING THE ML, DIED ONCE STILL WANT TO TRUST HIM AGAIN N AGAIN.
WONDER WHY THEY CHANGED THE ML IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOW. THE ML IS SO SUPER WICKED AND IRRITATING.
HAI, SO LONG STORY. SUPER DISLIKED THE ML N THE MOTHER, SO UNGRATEFUL, CANNOT STAND THE FL SOMETIMES........................

Makjang dumb plots chasing after one villain
This drama was written by the written who have written Miss Monte Cristo in 2021. While I was expected for this drama, but I also cautious because daily drama it is usually a hit or miss and this one was a miss in my opinion. If you have been watching from the beginning until the end then you know. Without going into much into it I like the fast paced early on until the switch of the actor which both are good actor, but I personally felt it went down from there and the writer lost momentum in writing the story and directing as well. I liked the acting for the most part, but this drama just went down afterward and I dislike how one person who been doing wrong never gotten taken down like what the hell is going on with this. If you like this type of drama then check it out but I don't think the stupidity does stop.Was this review helpful to you?
Another juicy makjang
Acting: I especially enjoyed the convincing performance of Kang Yul/Jung Woo Hyeok. He did a standout job, from showing his unwavering love to Shin JuKyeong and rising up as an actor and business manager, I thouroughly enjoyed his performance. The new male lead (Shi Kang) also did a great job based on how viewers were so eager for the revenge against him to happen, he was truly a convincing villain!! Of course, I cannot fail to mention Jacqueline Taylor (Son Sang Yoon) -- she had excellent character development and it was interesting to see her totally transform bit by bit through the show. She is an actress with plenty of impressive range and dynamic facial expressions and reactions. She was convincing as both a "villain" and a "hero" in her own ways. I look forward to seeing more excellent work from these 3 actors.Story: I thoroughly enjoyed this typical web of revenge plots and subplots. It has everything you would expect from a nice juicy makjang - revenge, hidden identity, true romance, false romance, strong family ties, monopoly by conglomerates and destructive greed.Of course, it's a Makjang so people may be frustrated here and there. But there was also plenty of humour added in when necessary (Oh NaHui's romance lol), lighthearted family moments and sweet genuine romance (shoutout to Kang Yul/Jung Woo Hyeok).
All in all, I loved this and it is full of life lessons, which is something I always take away from Makjangs, which is why I love them.

Mix of high drama, comedy thrown in and some sweet romance. A good mix of sweet, sour and bitter
While all the actors are quite good I think Jacquelin is the outstanding actor here. Every expression, nuanced or dramatic feel real,,along with trembling lips of anger. Am at episode 36 and wanted to write this regardless of ending. I may have forgotten to do it. If I do remember I might share my thoughts here of the ending. Switching male leads was discombobulating and still is. This new actor has big shoes to fill so please don’t blame him. I am sure he is trying to be the immature evil spoiled brat that the original male lead was, but it’s even more difficult because original male lead was loaded with facial expressions. Unbelievable changing
Unbelievable that this drama came to point of changing an actor - he will be missed cause I felt he fit his character amazing acting with excellent skills - wishing him the best and hope to see him within another drama soon. Most of all this drama caught my attention because of the male and female lead - it was a soap opera that went wrong with so much laughter to the characters within the storytelling - a must watch drama in hope within the next episodes to come. absolutely not..
I have very high patience but this was not it. I don't mind the wait but the plot, engagement, i dont even know what it was but something just made me stop watching it. The story had great potential but this was the worse daily drama I have ever seen. I dropped it when the show had 80 episodes and i watched up to 48 last year. Yes daily dramas have push & pull situations; but this was as if there was a lot of "Nothing" going on if that made sense. How can a show be chaotic and have no solid direction of where this was going? If i remember correctly it was like watching something that was just put together.You would expect that towards the end and most times they rush it but it was just reminding me of elementary school play and even those were more structured than this. I felt bad for the actors who were in this show i wonder if they felt what i felt while watching this. I blame the script and the production. It was rather embarrassing. The way they switched the male lead was funny & never seen that happen before. They didn't even make an excuse for his new appearance but yes the show must go on. More over so I feel like this has been the first drama that made me feel like i was wasting my time. I was being generous with my time to watch it just for the sake of maybe it will get better.
It just wasn't as captivating to hold viewers aka me & this never happened before as a experienced daily kdrama watcher. I never made such a bad review before or even decisive with my opinion. Since I tend to be indecisive with my thoughts on things giving it the benefit of the doubt.
Anyways it had such a promising story line and things went wrong in order to execute it well. It was a mess. This show didn't make me feel angry or anything but it was more of a dysfunctional skit of a kdrama. It didn't even have not one thing that made me want to stay and find out. I wasn't as connected to the show so I dropped it easily.
