Almost flawless reality show

Excellent casting of Youn Yuh Jung, Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon and Choi Woo Shik! This was one of the best examples of teamwork and collaboration. Language has no barriers. Many visitors from many countries came to Youn's Stay for a meal, laughter and fresh air. Thanks for the delicious foods and entertainment. Jung Yu Mi's portrait should be hung in the Museum of Modern Art.

This drama filmed before Youn Yuh Jung won the Academy Award. The B&B guests must have shouted with joy when they heard the news. First time in their life, meeting an Oscar winner.

The only flaw was the extraneous, intrusive loud singing and loud BGM in 90% of every episode. It became jarring and ear-splitting. How do Korean people function in their daily lives?

I want to stay at Youn Stay!

My sisters and I have had this on repeat in the background over the last few weeks. This is one of the first variety shows I've seen in full and it's so refreshing compared to US and UK shows that bombard you with drama.

Premise and setting: The use of a hanok compound and inviting foreign guests was pure genius on the production team's part. It kept the objective of the original Youn's Kitchen but adapted it to the pandemic. I learned so much about Korean food and a little history thanks to Ms. Youn.

Cast: Perfect. Oscar winner Youn Yuh Jung is naturally witty, oozes with experience, but remains down to earth. Lee Seo Jin is the charming and trusty VP who keeps everyone organized without being too bossy. Jung Yu Mi is cute and introverted but wow did she become an amazing chef here compared to the first season. Park Seo Jun is the hot but humble jock everyone wants to be friends with. He also makes a killer ramyeon apparently. And Choi Woo Shik is that adorable and cheeky little brother that you pick on and take care of at the same time.

They have such an organic chemistry on and off screen it's so relaxing to watch them interact and have fun. Their work ethic is pretty amazing too. Running a B&B with that sophisticated menu is no joke! The guests on the other hand, some were a bit cringey and tried too hard on camera, but for the most part everyone was respectful. My favorite was Father Jason and his drawings.

Music: I love the director's choice in playing certain songs to poke harmless fun at the right time. Lots of recognizable songs for the old soul.

Overall, this is a great go-to show if you want to take a break from K-dramas. It's naturally funny and very soothing.

Quite enjoyed this one.

The highlight of this show was Choi Woo Shik for me. I've seen him before in shows and have always enjoyed his acting, but this was something else. I never knew he was this hilarious a human being and has such amazing comic timing. He made me laugh time and again so effortlessly. What a comic relief this show has been! While I absolutely love his chemistry with PSJ, it was so heartwarming to watch his chemistry with the other cast members, especially Ms Youn and Yu-mi. Love it!

I quite like the concept of the show and enjoyed it very much. It was refreshing to watch and made me want to get a chance to be hosted by this team. My only problem with this was that it was too idealistic. Like, it felt like the entire thing was so scripted that even the comments of the guests seemed pre-decided. So much overacting and over-hyping has been done here. But that doesn't make the show any less fun to watch. It was still an amazing journey of 12 episodes.

Favorite so Far

So far this is my favorite of this series. The dynamics between the cast are great, and the interactions with the guests are great. The music they chose...some interesting choices were made in that department. The music is so chaotic in the best way. I really do not think they actually listened to some of the lyrics and I love it. Everything from Let It Go from Frozen to Lizzo has been played in the background, and I am only on the 3rd episode. Overall it is a very sweet and wholesome show with plenty of funny moments and a slight chaotic touch in the background.
