Steamy and Sexy with Hot Kisses!

WOW! The start of this drama will make you wonder what you are watching, but let me tell you, the smile that will come across your face is so worth it.

We all know Dai Gao Zheng who has been in some of the steamiest short dramas such as: Maid’s Revenge, Bride’s Revenge, Her Revenge, Forever Love, you get the picture. But this drama, puts all those to shame.

The second episode, whew, but let me stop getting ahead of myself.

This story is about ML (Dai Gao Zheng aka Gu Lin Yuan) and FL (Tu Zhi Ying aka Yun Fei Fei) who both belong to different sects. Gu Lin Yuan is the Enforcer of the Qian Kun Sect and Yun Fei Fei is Head Constable of the Liushan Agency. Their first meeting had to do with the Perish Pills that were being sold illegally. Both Gu Lin Yuan and Yun Fei Fei have a huge fight which led to both of their masks coming off, revealing their true identities to each other.

Yun Fei Fei had been searching for Gu Lin Yuan for two years. Standing right in front of her was the man that she loved--Gu Lin Yuan the enforcer of the Qian Kun Sect. To say she was shocked was putting it mildly. She was truly excited to see him but for Gu Lin Yuan, he was indifferent, cold and mean to her after finding out who she was. Yun Fei Fei was perplexed and could not understand that the man she held so dearly in her heart could be this way.

She tells Gu Lin Yuan she heard that he was marrying SFL (Liu Xi Yu aka Du Xiao Yu) and she was not willing to allow him to marry her. By far, this has to be the HOTTEST make out scene in a dressing room EVER. Yun Fei Fei begins to undress Gu Lin Yuan, belt goes, robe goes until he pushes her away and tells her she is crazy. Why is that? Because right next door is Du Xiao Yu trying on her wedding dress. Yun Fei Fei tells him is he afraid of her hearing them. So, what is a woman to do. She starts undressing and when she reveals her bare shoulder, he pushes her away only for her to start kissing him. I mean kissing him. He snatches her up, literally and puts her on the dresser in the room, hands over top of her head, this man is going for it until you hear Du Xiao Yu ask if he is okay. But how can he answer when he is in deep, I mean deep into some hot kisses with Yun Fei Fei. He finally pushes her back with his eyes glazed over, he tells Du Xiao Yu he is coming. I mean that seriously is the hottest kissing scene that will make you want to see more. You will be rewatching this scene. He is all over Yun Fei Fei. Whew!

Let’s talk about the wedding. Yun Fei Fei sneaks into Gu Lin Yuan’s room as he is preparing for the wedding only for Du Xiao Yu to come in. Gu Lin Yuan throws Yun Fei Fei in his bed to hide her from Du Xiao Yu, but she decides that she will dress there for the wedding. The sexiness between these two is crazy. While Du Xiao Yu is changing, we have Gu Lin Yuan getting more kisses from Yun Fei Fei who is in the bed unbeknownst to Du Xiao Yu what is going on behind her. Gu Lin Yuan knows that Du Xiao Yu is about to come out, so he lifts up Yun Fei Fei who starts kissing him again while Du Xiao Yu is calling his name, and he is kissing Yun Fei Fei until he hits Du Xiao Yu and knocks her out. Yun Fei Fei takes the place of the bride. Crazy! They don’t get married because Du Xiao Yu comes in and interrupts.

Yun Fei Fei is not without a man herself -- SML (Chris Zhu aka Xiang Li Ting). We see a jealousy creep into Gu Lin Yuan when he sees Xiang Li Ting holding Yun Fei Fei’s hand. He is thoroughly ticked off because he thinks they have a relationship, and he doesn’t like it. Xiang Li Ting wants to stop the animosity between the two and offers them tea to settle their differences. Wait until you see him drink her tea…whew! He drinks the tea on same side of the cup as her. You know, kissing without kissing. Oh yeah! You have to love this man's sexiness in every way.

We do find out what had happened to cause Gu Lin Yuan and Yun Fei Fei to leave each other. Yue Tianxing, Liushan Agency’s Grand Constable, tried to rape Yun Fei Fei. You see Yun Fei Fei was considered the "foster son" of him and had been in disguise for many years. Yue Tianxing finds out she is a girl and tries to rape her only to be stabbed by both her and Gu Lin Yuan. To protect Yun Fei Fei, Gu Lin Yuan stabbed himself claiming he was the "foster son" of Yue Tianxing. When Du Xiao Yu came across him and saw the stab wound, he told her that he was the son they were looking for. Taking him, he was beaten and tortured and a drug tester for the Perish Pills to control him.

All parties knew there was a secret letter left by Yue Tianxing for the antidote for the Perish Pills, but no one could figure out how to read the letter but the “foster son” of Yue Tianxing which was Yun Fei Fei. Many clues abound for helping them find the letter as well. But only Gu Lin Yuan and Yun Fei Fei can find it because of the necklaces they both wore.

There is double crossing by Xiang Li Ting who is working with Du Xiao Yu to get the letter. We also see Du Xiao Yu put carefree needles in Yun Fei Fei which causes her to lose her memory. Xiang Li Ting takes this opportunity to make her believe that he is her true love and to get her to marry him. But Gu Lin Yuan is not to be outdone. When he comes into the wedding to get his beloved. He is ALL that. I mean, he tells them he will kill them all. They go to the mountains where they won't be found for 10 days so he can remove the needles. But there is a downside: 1) he will begin to lose his mind and 2) she will never regain her memory after all the needles are removed.

Gu Lin Yuan painstakingly does everything for Yun Fei Fei to regain her memory but not before he is captured by Xiang Li Ting. Her memories finally come back to her as she is standing in the field where Gu Lin Yuan made the swing for her. The bell on the swing began to ring causing her to have a flood of memories. You also get to see some of those hot kisses again.

As she is running back to save Gu Lin Yuan from being executed, she remembers how to decipher the letter for the antidote of the Perish Pills. She admits she is the real "foster son" of Yue Tianxing. Confessing Du Xiao Yu tries to Yun Fei Fei until Chu Xin steps in and saves both her and Gu Lin Yuan and gets them to the temple.

Yes, we have a wedding with the two childhood sweethearts. It is just those two. Then he carries her to the bed and well, we are given again the pleasure of some good kisses and just making out!!!

Both Gu Lin Yuan and Yun Fei Fei join forces to get the antidote to help all those who have been given the Perish Pill. Gu Lin Yuan is protecting Yun Fei Fei as she gets the antidote based off of the letter because Du Xiao Yu and Xiang Li Ting come to stop them. Xiang Li Ting stabs Gu Lin Yuan fatally, so it appears but not before he kills him. Because of the poisonous smoke, Yun Fei Fei cannot see so Gu Lin Yuan has to be her eyes to read out the antidote.

A month later, it was known that Yue Tianxing was corrupt and used the Perish Pills to control individuals, so his death was acceptable by Gu Lin Yuan and Yun Fei Fei. Because they help give the antidote they were no longer charged as criminals for killing Yue Tianxing. They both then left to stay together and never be a part.

I can only say that Dai is too much in this drama. The kisses and the sensuality that he gave off were 100. This man seriously needs a main role in a major drama. There were so many scenes of him and his FL that their chemistry was dynamic.

Yes, I definitely recommend this drama because the hotness of Dai just sizzles. You will NOT be disappointed. You will definitely not be lost, and you will definitely be found loving Dai even more. Enjoy!

A DELICIOUS 12/10 RECOMMENDATION

This drama deserves millions of views. I don't get the low rating on this site (7.4 at the time of writing this review). In my opinion this is a 12/10 incredible short format drama. I was SO immersed while watching, I forgot about my surroundings and time and just lived through every frame of this drama. Absolutely, wonderful, gorgeous, luscious, with great kissing scenes. The storyline is pretty much basic, but with such amount of drama being filmed and written every day, you can't do many innovative storylines. I like a good good vs. evil with a mystery, detectives on a background of romance. The only thing which I would slightly change was the last scene in ep. 18. It was not necessary in my opinion, but it was acted wonderfully. Dai Gao Zheng is such. An amazing. Actor. You could feel the madness, the anger, the despair, the hopelessness, the protective instinct, the softening, the every single emotion and tear on his face and body language (I'm his huge fan since this drama). The whole cast are amazing actors. The costumes are so beautiful and detailed, they look very rich and I'm sure a load of handwork went into them. The accessories, the details just *chef's kiss*. I don't want to spoil the ending too much, so I'll just say that it's fate (iykyk after watching). And now stop reading reviews and go watch, it is truly worth it.

At first, I didn't like it at all, but I likes the last 6 episodes, I think it gets better. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't for me. I've watched other mini C-dramas before (I'm not sure if that's what it's called) that were so much better. It definitely deserves more recognition. I think I've seen the female actress before, but I don't remember where. I will check her other roles later. The male lead actor would do great in a full-length C-drama too. The ending felt was rushed and why is the ml always getting hurt??
Also, at the start of the drama the fl was using a sword. Both ml and fl learned the same martials arts. So how come after the first ep she never used them again? I mean she couldn't defend herself? So it doesn't make sense why he's the strongest of all while she's always the defendless one. The acting was fine

Lost

With sincere apologies to Dai Gaozheng fans, but this was a surprisingly cringy mini drama that was marred by cheesy over-acting and poor voice dubbing, and a silly, amateur script filled with stiff dialogue. I’ve seen enough solid short-length dramas with tightly written scripts to know that quality storytelling, pacing, and tension-building can be done successfully even when an episode is just a few minutes long.

For a supposedly smart FL with a reputation that precedes her, she’s incredibly silly with her reckless rendezvous with the ML. Her memory was practically photographic at one point -- until it wasn’t. Everything had no cure, until it did. At every turn, they were groping and kissing each other aggressively even at the risk of being discovered, yet in the privacy of a room at the Poppy Inn, they were suddenly acting demure, cutesy, and mindful? Lol, right.

Ever since Dai Gaozheng blew onto the C-drama scene with his alpha male role in the steamy Maid’s Revenge Republican mini-drama two years ago, fans have been swooning over him. I’ve seen a ton of short-length dramas and have watched every drama in which he plays the lead role. While some are better than others, I do not believe he has quite the range to upgrade to full-length dramas, unfortunately. His best scenes were the emotional ones where he is trying to hold back tears. A major part of the problem is that he also appears increasingly plastic-like, a Ken doll with limited facial movements.

Overall, the second half was much better when the story focused on the couple. But I struggled to make it through the first half. If you are a Dai Gaozheng fan, by all means, watch and enjoy. The sets look good, and of course, there is plenty of kissing, gratuitous shirtless scenes, and glimpses of his abs (even those don’t look quite natural somehow?). For the rest of us, it's a pretty safe skip.

Dai Gaozheng is spectacular

Dai Gaozheng as Gu Linyuan is spectacular in this costume drama.
I did not know Tu Zhiying (who plays Yun Feifei) despite she was in small support roles in Only For Love and The Pavilion, plus another one that I have yet to complete (was too busy at the time).

The story is well paced, time goes quickly since it is only 20 x 10 minutes or so; can be watched in two sittings with a pause for snack, or like a 2 hours movie. It is an original script.

Although a costume drama, it is not historical. It is a wuxia fantasy in martial universe, opposing a sect and an enforcement agency the backing of which is not very clear: sect or government? It does not really matter.

The synopsis says that Yun Feifei is the (female) "headhunter of the Six Sects", the incompatible rival of Gu Linyuan from "Qiankun gang". In Chinese, qian(乾) means heaven and kun(坤) earth ; qiankun (乾坤) is the universe. In many fantasy xianxia, wuxia or xuanhuan dramas, we may encounter a "qiankun bag", a magic one where all sorts of things can be stored and hidden from sight, but there is no such bag in this drama. Instead, qiankun conveys the occult, dishonest nature of the sect whose leader's daughter is a shameless minx, intent on tying Gu Linyuan to her in an unholy marriage and binding him and her minions further with a Perish Pill (a potent drug with addictive effect). Cultivation powers were just a tool for the leads, to use extraordinary strength, even bordering telekinesis, and to fight spectacularly, but not to the point of flying. But acupoints were used to subdue a victim, poisonous arrows were shot, and specially poisoned darts to cause memory loss. The leads still united to find a cure for the Perish Pill, despite mortal dangers and possible betrayers.

The sets are familiar for those who watch many fantasy or wuxia dramas. One scene with changing rooms had me chuckle since it featured the same rooms that were used in another drama (probably more than one): a modern one that also had a steamy scene there (Embrace in the Dark Night). Less than ancient urban setting, the story takes place in rooms of cult seats, "libraries", and away from town, in a remote but tastefully furnished ancient country house near a bamboo forest which sways in the wind, not too far from a temple which sports "fate" or "good luck wishes" : rectangular pieces of red painted wood inscribed by fortune seekers in handwriting and hung as pendants on "holy" trees, blessed by the fengshui master there (such good luck charms are traditional in some such real places in China).

That said, the chemistry between the leads in Lost You Found You was sweet, despite the induced misunderstandings, and the kiss scenes are quite excellent. We don't get as much a glimpse of Dai Gaozheng's spectacular abs (as in Maid's Revenge): after all, costume dramas can't go much into undressing! Anyway, the costumes are pleasing to watch, if expected, and the pendant in two parts is a nice looking sign and jewel.

The main, ending song : Your Last Name, My First Name (你的姓氏我的名字) by Liu Da Na (刘大拿) is very sweet, somewhat wistful : an ear-worm one.

The end was hovering between tragic and happy ; the happy one prevailed, probably in order not to displease audience, but I felt it to be rather implausible, so only 9.5 for me. But I would still recommend Lost You Found You to those who have some notions about this type of c-drama, and of course, to those who like watching the evolution of Dai Gaozheng's acting career.

I'm under Dai Gao Zheng's spell..

Stories, no matter how good they are written can't reach the viewers, if are not acted out properly. There are times when stories go weak but the performance by the actors make them worth a watch ..and one such actor is Dai Gao Zheng .. honestly he is the one that made me watch these short format dramas.. my boy is so talented , so handsome ..I literally can't take my eyes away. I have watched like 7-8 dramas with him as lead role ..and I can't tell which one was the best .. each one of them is as excellent as the other. ON TOP HIS KISSING SCENES, MY GOD !! HE IS THE KING OF ON-SCREEN KISSING/ STEAMY SCENES.
But this was the first time in this drama that I watched him crying ... ( The scene when feifei memory doesn't come back even after pulling out sorrow forget needles) Damn his crying was so intense ..it felt like my heart was broken into a 1000 pieces. It was so good I was experiencing a connection to his character on all dimensions.

Second we talk about the FL ..the actress playing the role is quite talented I have seen her thousands years of love and she was funtastic..though here her role was not as strong as in 1000 years where she played demon princess , but nonetheless this one wasn't bad either. I wish her character were more into action and less trouble.

The plot was a little slow , flat and confusing at points ..flashbacks took most of the screen time and villains were not given a proper closure ( my personal opinion) . A few things were made unnecessarily troublesome, like at various points in the plot ML is leaving behind FL to protect her though she was best protected when she stays with ML otherwise pretty much everyone is her enemy on different levels (you will understand when you will watch it ) . I frankly don't like this sort of writing when you don't have creativity to put proper conspiracy so you write scenes full of idiocy ..MY CONDOLENCES TO THE WRITER, PLEASE HAND IN YOUR RESIGNATION, THIS JOB IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOU.

Music was veg impressive either

Definitely Worth a watch

Rewatch ??? NOPE

Masterpiece

Just amazing! I don't understand why people don't watch that masterpiece! Clear story, with amazing costumes. Acting is unique from the cast in general. There is a great chemistry between the main actors and that is the reason why there are many hot and truthful kisses! Definitely a script which doesn't exaggerate. A really great job!

GREAT actor and acting just so low budget

I love this actor. I’ve seen him in forever love. He is very talented but this drama was way too low budget. I couldn’t stand it. I love him. I feel bad he had to act in such a cheap quality drama. He is too talented for this. He needs to get a better role in a high quality drama.

I mean look it wasn’t like terrible but I just couldn’t stand the low quality. It wasn’t the cast just the quality

Poor story as well as direction .

"Lost You, Found You" is a historical drama that I believe is entirely fictional. The story revolves around two characters, Fei Fei and Gu Lin Yuan. At the beginning of the drama, they are rivals, but a secret is soon revealed, showing that they are actually lovers. Gu Lin Yuan worked for bad people to protect Fei Fei, leading both of them to face many hardships. In the end, they live happily ever after. There are many romantic scenes, likely added to appeal to viewers who enjoy intense moments. While I didn't find the story particularly compelling, the performances of the actors were good, and their chemistry kept me intrigued. The drama consists of 20 episodes, each about 10 minutes long.

Lost You, Found You (2024) is a great romantic wuxia. The cast did a very good job bringing their characters to life, and the leading couple, Gu Lin Yuan (Dai Gao Zheng) and Yun Fei Fei (played by Tu Zhi Ying, has splendid romantic and playful chemistry. This drama has a story of factions playing against each other as a background stage and the antagonists offer the male lead a position from which he can protect the leading lady. He’s the good guy turned antihero and loving protector. The leading lady is also a strong character that will stop at nothing in order to protect her beloved. They go through thick and thin but their love only get stronger through every trial. The story is well written and the drama has very good action scenes, cinematography, beautiful costumes, and pleasing settings. Overall, this drama is about the leading couple, once separated by inevitable circumstances, founding each again and, finally, been able to fight for a chance to be together. Overall, the drama is good, the romance is captivating, and the story is well performed by the cast. Enjoy it!
