A Sensual Symphony: Visuals, OSTs, and Cinematic Mastery

Among all of Chao Planoy's novels, this one stands out as being less chaotic—well, if you've read Planoy's other works and then watched the adapted shows, you'll know exactly what I mean. Planoy's books are often riddled with issues, but Pluto manages to be a bit more polished. That said, the plot still revolves around twin sisters in love with the same girl, who's manipulating both in a twisted game of control and desire—basically, a tangled web of emotional and physical exploitation under the guise of love. Just wait for the pandora's box to be opened!

Despite the messy plot, GMMTV nailed the casting for the adaptation. Namtan is already an established actress, and Film holds her own as well. If you've seen Ploy's Yearbook, you'll remember these two as the leads, although the storyline there was quite different (loved that drama too). Ciize and Earn are from 23.5, if you have watched it, you already know them. Their acting improved a lot here. It was good to see Kapook as a supporting role, hopefully someday she will be a lead character in another drama. Duangdao Jarujinda as grandma was well suited too (in the novel grandma wasn't mentioned, it was the mom)

The OSTs for Pluto are fantastic, and the way each shot is handled is visually stunning. Some scenes are narrated with an almost sensual undertone, perfectly matching the mood. There's also a lot of clever foreshadowing in the dialogue, which only readers of the novel will fully appreciate.

P.S: Some of you might have already caught spoilers from random comments, but unless you've read the entire novel in one go, you won't fully grasp what's coming in the drama version. If it sticks to the book, expect a happy ending, but not without a few twists along the way. After all, what's a good show without some drama, right? Happy watching!

NamtanFilm Chemistry is on Fire!

For those wondering about the epiphany of this quote, it might probably resonate with Ai-oon, one of the main leads in the show. She has spent her entire lifetime standing in the shadow of her successful twin, Ob-oom, who was a capricious two-timer. Chao Planoy is slowly becoming one of the most popular Thai GL authors in the industry, with almost 6 of her novels being adapted into live-action series (GAP, Blank, My Marvellous Dream Is You, Affair, Apple My Love, Pluto) and two others are in production (Mate The Series & Us The Series). Her stories mostly depict angsty and catastrophic relationships. “Pluto” is no different, what sets it apart from the other adaptations is the production quality and the excellent casting. Starring Namtan Tipnaree in dual roles alongside Film Rachanun, the storyline is mystique yet entertaining.

Storyline

This show is not like other GL series because the main focus of the storyline isn't JUST about 2 girls falling in love, cuz it also brings up topic such as being a disabled person in society, family expatation and siblings relationship, and so many more that we will see as the show progresses.

Also, Namtan and Film have amazing chemistry and they both potray the character really well, and Snap25 did an amazing job at adapting the novel and changing the storyline to make it less toxic and more enjoyable yet still sticking to premise of the book, huge props to the whole cast and crew.

When eyes speak more than words

This my first GL series and I am not disappointed .

The story is so good and unique with super gorgeous two female leads . May who is a blind girl , tries to take care of her love everyday . And Ai -oon is a badass but soft hearted person who tried to fulfill her sister's wish . She accidently discovered she herself also likes Oom's girlfriend May and then they started a new journey .

I was waiting for a good series and finally I have found it . Don't think second time you should watch it or not . Just try one or two episodes , you will understand . Excellent visuals , cinematography with a bit of mysterious story plotline .

9.5/10 for me . You will not feel regretful .

Outstanding GL with high performance leads

Saying that I’m obsessed with this show is minimising the impact it has on my brain.
I’ll start by saying that I DON’T LIKE CHAO PLANOY’S adaptations (haven’t red any novels) because they have so many toxic and poorly written characters.
But this one took me off guard.
First of all, just so you know, this is one of the few GLs out there (at least so far) where the two leads (Namtan Tipnaree and Film Rachanun) have a pretty solid background in the industry and had many main lead roles in straight shows, and they have been professional in each of them.
GMMTV combined two strong women with completely opposite personality irl and they are absolute fire together.
On a professional level, the actresses (esp Film at the very beginning when the Pilot trailer was released) were very shy around each other, but they requested to have workshops even before filming, while they were filming a straight show (in which they also starred together “Ploy’s yearbook” but they were “enemies”) so that they could build up the chemistry and get rid of the shyness during working. And they succeeded marvellously.
They are still a bit shy around each other but when they act together you doubt they are not lovers in reality, meaning they are high performers in what they do.
Not to mention they cried when they watched the official trailer for the first time, they really care about the project.
So given that, they are (at least to me) the best in acting I’ve seen in a GL so far, their characters even if they are not green flags, are very compelling and honestly well crafted.
Snap25, the company producing this show, has done an amazing job with the dialogues, twists (so many, like every episode you have more questions than the previous one, but it keeps you HOOKED) and the main love story.
The two main characters May Metawee and Ai-Oon are just two broken souls who are desperate to be loved and loving someone. Their relationship (although is packed with lies and secrets for now) is a slow process of falling in love and understanding of each others.
We all know it will have an happy ending because it’s Chao’s novel and GLs are still new so they wouldn’t dare not to give it to us. Meaning that the two main characters are falling in love and they will overcome all the obstacles and lies surrounding them.
The story is flawing, the twists are exciting to see, the love May and Oon are having is so soft it melts your heart and the two leads are just incredibly professional.
It’s a lethal mix that I personally found myself drown to.
I recommend everyone to give it a go, despite the fact that none of the characters are green flags but they are well written.
