In the midst of the chaos following the Great Kanto Earthquake, a woman is massacred by the military police. The story is about a woman named Ito Noe, a women's liberation activist. Noe grew up in a poor family but was inspired by Hiratsuka Raicho's words, "In the beginning, women were the sun," and moved to Tokyo without getting married. Yearning for freedom, she joined the Seito Society with a passion overflowing with vitality and protested the marriage system and social morality.
