That is not to say that it's absolutely perfect, alas. Indeed, the script had its moments but also a coupla sloppy passages (like for example the übertrite subplot involving the ML's ex). The cast did well as a whole, but we're honestly not talking of award-granting performances. As for the production value / "packaging", the level was completely fine, but at the same time nothing worth calling home about it.
A decent 8/10 in my book!

Not Good Enough
Japanese Drama '' Living No Matsunaga-san '' is a romantic comedy drama. The start of the series is smooth and enjoyable, as we get to know the characters and their situation. The dynamics are there and the mood is light and fluff.
But, as the drama progresses, things get a bit on the odd side. The main couple was somehow off, and not just because of their age difference, but due to the fact that he was acting as a father figure and she was way too young to be making important life decisions, hence, that twist in the end was a bit off. Also, the most frustrating part was the ex subplot, that was way too weird, as she was the girl's teacher and the guy's ex, thus, it was bizarre for her to be hyping up the relationship as she did.
Finally, the second couple was cute, but they hardly had any moments together.
As for the performances, they were okay.
So, overall, three out of ten.

Geez, haven’t watched such crappy writing since a long time, I’m shocked. The whole grooming aspect with the guy being pictured as the father of the share house was just disgusting. Not to mention the girl’s teacher saying shit like she can’t find anything bad about a 17yo loving or even going out with an older person. What the hell, really?
And the acting!!!!!! The girl was horrendous. Just so bad. Even poor Kenty was bad because the role itself was just such a fake, I’m just a clueless good person one that nobody could act out without being annoying.

Can’t get pass the age gap
Sorry, I had to drop this when the there is a third party trying to come into the mix as I am just not a fan of this kind of plot. The first few episodes is also quite weird given that the age gap between the two lead is so weird and the guy started off as more of a fatherly figure?? How did it turn into romance?? To be honest, I also don’t see how the FL would like him since she just lacking some daddy figure in her life. But besides these, the vibes of the drama is alright and predictable. Acting is probably the better one here but it’s just ok at best. Was this review helpful to you?
