Reviews
Mystery short drama with unique images and ideas!
The beginning of this short drama was very intriguing with the concept of a unique mountain roamer shamanism world. The story was never predictable for me and so I kept watching because I wanted to see how it continued. The narrative lost some momentum after Ma Tiang Hong joined the group and the ending seemed very rushed to me. However, there are some very good aspects in this story and I would like to see a fully fleshed out drama of it.Overall, I really liked the character of Zhang Bei Chen and think that Eddy Geng portrayed him very well. Zhang Bei Chen stays calm, doesn't give away his cards and waits for the right moment to act. Especially at the end he proves that he not only has great empathy, but also follows the right values and that all his actions were never determined by his ego. A really sympathetic character.
Unfortunately, the drama did not keep all its promises to explain more and more comprehensive details of this world, such as the mountain roamer's shamanism and especially the backstory of this story. If you like watching mysterious short dramas to discover unique images and ideas and can overlook some flaws, give it a try. If you like a well-rounded drama, you may be disappointed. A sequel was hinted at in the last episode. And I look forward to a second season.
