WATCH THIS LITTLE GEM!!!

Stop what you're doin'
Cuz I'm about to ruin
The kind of Asian Drama that you're used to....
(RIP, Shock-G)

This little series is the sweetest, funniest, silliest thing I've ever seen. At only 15 mins per episode, it's like someone placed a bowl of candy in front of me and said, "Eat all you want...."

Seriously, make the time (only 3 hours total) to watch this. Binge it, or whatever, it won't take that much of your life, and you'll be happier for it. Just don't think about how silly the concept is, and go with the wild ride that the cast and crew give us: Great ML and FL with terrific chemistry, no secondary couples to confuse things, great acting (the ML is terrific in his disposition in the scenes where he's a pig), and we know that the whole team is winking at us while they are filming it. Photography, sound, background music is all on point. Great visuals of the skylines.

I stumbled on it by accident, and my first thought was "You've GOT to be kidding me", but after the first episode, I was hooked. And be sure to watch until the last minute! The ending had me in stitches. Wake up KBS: remake this show as a full-length drama and give us a break from the garbage series you've been pushing at us lately.

That's it. A short, sweet little gift from China. Watch it, you'll thank me later.

Oh, and don't believe the low ratings here for it. This is an 8.5+ show.

The pig is adorable!

I am loving this so far! But I'm a sucker for anything with a cute animal in. If you're looking for something light-hearted and cute and nothing too serious, then this is it! It's nice short episodes and funny. And the piggy makes me want to go out and get one of my own!
Acting is decent. Looking forward to the remaining four episodes. One thing I like about these types of dramas is that they release the episodes quickly and you don't have to wait too long for them to be released.
Another thing I like about it is that unlike many dramas, the opening and closing credits don't take up half the episode. Whilst the episodes are 15 minutes, most of this is actually drama.
Update - Forgot to come back and say that I finished this as soon as the final episode was released, it was adorable. I'm now binging my way through another one released on IQIYI today called My Piggy Lover which features another cute little piggy.

When your boss literally is a pig

There's a difference between Western and Eastern ideas of what it means to call someone a pig. I believe over there it just in general means being lazy and maybe a bit of a glutton, over here well it's a lot meaner an insult.

So the basic premise of the story is that due to a curse on the family, their newborn son becomes a pig every night forever unless he gets a true love's kiss.

The story starts with our FL finding an abandoned tea cup pig in a bathroom and thinks someone was going to take it home and eat it, so she saves it and takes it home. The pov of her giving a bath to the pig and cuddling with it, is show again from the person trapped insides pov and omg that's too funny. The following morning, he returns to human form, in her bed...without clothing....oooops!

Their attempt to break the curse is met with some misunderstandings, but of course they overcome those eventually.

It's really a cute and short drama, easy to watch in an afternoon. It's not too deep because it's 12 little episodes, but I found it funny and enjoyable overall. The plot could have been a little better developed but then the show would have had to been longer format and I'm not sure they could have stretched that long enough for 30 minute episodes.

This is hilarious and adorable!

This mini-drama is a must watch! I was originally put off by the title but the concept seemed too silly to pass up. I'm very glad I gave it a try because it's so funny, so sweet, and so well made.

The plot is exactly what the synopsis suggests - a CEO turns into a pig every night, and an office worker ends up finding out his secret. They try to solve his curse with fake dating and kisses, and shenanigans happen.

The FL is smart, confident, and capable, while the tsundere CEO turns out to be funny, thoughtful, and sweet. There's also a brilliant best friend (of the FL) who made me so happy every time she was on screen.

The other characters are the FLs childhood friend (for a couple eps), the MLs former sweetheart (for more eps), and the MLs mother (who is great). You also get to see the MLs dad (confusingly played by the ML actor) in two of the three hysterically funny "flashbacks" about the possible reason(s) for the MLs piggy side.

The whole story moves along smoothly and without the choppy or rushed feeling that often comes with a mini-drama. The acting is top notch, and the music and production is really quite good. If I had to complain, it would be that the business stuff is a bit confusing, but it also doesn't matter or interfere with the core romance too much.

And that romance is *chef's kiss* pure fluffy goodness. It progresses nicely and is sealed with a couple real kisses. My heart fluttered for sure.

Also, the pig is adorable - business pig for the win!

headline: boss turns into a pig like he Fiona from Shrek or something

It has been such a long time since I finished a drama. Oh my god. The last drama i finished was on November 20th, which is insane because its 2024 now. My average was 8.625, and as always, I rounded down because, yeah. Now we are going to go through them before I forget this whole show. Sorry if everything is spelled wrong; I am lazy!

I had no idea what was happening but I did see it on iqiyi and kept moving it from my watching to havent started and back forth until i caved about 6 hours ago and started watching it. The first episode and every single one of the episodes were very short, which made this a very bearable watch. the boss turns into a pig at 6:30 pm or after the sun goes down. the description was on IQIYI and on my drama list but i didnt read it because it was really long and i never read descriptions anyway, but it was really funny and low-key interestings. i was having a lot of fun watching this while studying for AP lit (which is in 2 days and like 15 hours but thats fine). I said that I was going to finish it today, and I did, because it was a very funny and light watch. I don't know if there's a sequel or prequel to this, but I will watch it next. Funny as shit. I know that this is a sad addition to my drama list, but when I was searching for this on IQIYI, I saw my piggy lover, so I am also going to watch that, probably today as well.

I am looking at the character list for names, and the girl is Yang Xiao Zhu, and the guy is Zhu Xiao Yang. How did I not realize that? im slow. Mr. Zhu aka big Boss, was very grateful for her helping him. The fact that he is doing all this stuff just because he can turn into a pig, as Yang knows, is really funny to me because he can't really run away from her. and he was trying to make his redemption, lol, and turning into a pig every night is probably really annoying, and I don't think I could bear that. I want to know why, lol. We need some more lore. still working on AP Lit. i feel the pig thing would actually made me want to die and the fact we later found out it was because of his dad, i would be so fucking mad holy shit.

The random ass guy who popped up just to be a problem and then left was really getting on my nerves for no reason. Why would you put someone's pig outside on the balcony? and trying to explain why your boss is in your house naked so early in the morning, girl, what? I don't think you can explain that. Good luck explaining that; she better lie like her life depends on it. I mean she kind of did i guess.

She walked all the way home with a man who was a pig for most of it. He needs to stop thinking about his ex and go after the girl who will love him for him (more or less). She loves that he turns into a pig. Also, we love the lore. I think the ex is going to come back and be a problem for them both because he is so stuck in the past. twp questions: if he has been turning into a pig for the past 27 years, why is he still a baby pig? or is he just a miniature-sized pig and also that dream thing that plays at the end of the past two episodes? And who is having that? I think it is a big boss, but I can't tell what the point of it is or what it is. I have the answer to both of those questions. He is a miniature-sized pig, and the dreams were Yang's dreams, I think?

They both have no idea how love works, and its really funny. I think they are really cute, and I love them. I can tell they are both starting to fall for each other because they wouldn't be putting all of this work in just for the company; there is some really strong feeling behind it, and I love that. he sucks at compliments and tjat trasntion into the pig was really funny. him being a pig is hindering their progress but thats okay and that kiss was so fucking awkward but it felt very much like them

Back after my nap, I scrolled on my phone. They are so iconic. How is there so much development in these short episodes? I think this show is funny as fuck. Her faking him falling into the river and dying actually had me dying, and now they are moving in with each other. They are both in love. Im watching big bosses eyes looking at her. Oh my god, they were moving all over the place. These two are very cute, and the pig thing is starting to actually help them by getting closer, and their relationship is going well.

They are on an airplane, and they keep talking about their relationship, which I feel is very much needed. He likes her, but he's not sure if she likes him, and she is not sure either, but I feel like she does because he's giving her butterflies, and I think that is really cute, and I don't know how they are going to keep him being a pig and a squirrel on the plane. "Ma'am? How did you not get it, but the guy is gone, and what is that?" like what. I'd just start spewing the most heinous lies, but that's just me. I don't know why the ratings are so bad for this; this is so far such a cute show.

A misunderstanding got to them. She is rich. What the hell? That part was funny. but he heard her say she doesn't like him but didn't hear the last part. She's worried that he will never like her, and she knows the girl is back and is going to be problematic for them because, of course, she is. they drop the whole rich thing and am still really confused on that.

This piggy big back whore is getting on my nerves, bro. He is just being annoying, and he knows he is. cunt. Actually, bro, he is getting on my nerves so much, like you like her and she doesn't know if she likes you because she doesn't know if you like her because you keep pulling this dumb stuff. There is less than an hour left, so I am going to beast through it.

I am trying to beast through this before tutoring and before I crash and burn. Okay, so he likes her, and she likes him. He is just bad at everything he does and doesn't really know what he loves, and she is shit at talking stuff out, and every time they fight, it's because of a misunderstanding. Her parents are going to be the next issue, probably, or the company is going to sh*t, something like that, i guess.

True loves kiss broke the spell very cute. She just needs to figure out that he loves her so much and he’s coming home and I love them very cute 11th episode and 12 episode better bring it home great shows so far love it.

This was a nice finish to a show I absolutely bested through because it was so short. I had Fuyn and Itw as an overall really cute drama with 4 adorable kisses and a neck-breaking height difference. Overall, it was very cute, and I loved it a lot. I would recommend it. Great show! okay bye!

An adorable and hilarious series!

This series was so fun and genuinely had me laughing out loud. I absolutely loved the practical effects used, especially in those old-timey movie-esque dream sequences and the lore of the alien pig curse. I sometimes get wary of some fantasy in contemporary setting because they often end up being quite angsty but this was not that. It was appropriately absurd and sincerely heartwarming.

I also loved how they immediately went in like 'we know this appears to be another CEO/employee drama but' and then proceeded to subvert that trope in a number of ways. First, I was pleasantly surprised that Yang Xiaoyang and her friend were both appreciated for their ideas and skills. I also appreciated that the boss character wasn't just idol-ified. He was appropriately chastised for his terrible behavior towards his employees. This is one of those things that I loathe from other CEO dramas. If my boss was as much of an asshole as some of these C-drama CEOs are, I would quit and genuinely think that person was a sociopath. Being good-looking and rich is, like, not even a factor.

Another moment of subversion that I appreciated was when we learn that the Yang Xiaoyang is actually really rich; she just didn't know it! She apparently has this huge inheritance that her parents didn't tell her about. It was such a funny moment because I know that it was specifically supposed to subvert the whole rich man/poor woman dynamic and just immediately put him back down on planet earth next to her. It's not really about artificially raising her up, but instead being like 'yeah he's rich, but so what?'.

I also really appreciated that they decided to show how awkward it would be if you thought you HAD try falling in love with a person you don't actually know at all. It was only until they started trying to be normal about their relationship and working on getting to know each other as real people that things became less awkward. It was also refreshing to, at least subtextually, have this idea that it wasn't 'fate' or 'destiny' but rather a choice on both their parts to try and be together romantically.

My absolutely favorite piece of this was the curse lore as explained by his mother. It was so funny and absurd. I really think all curses should be like this. I will die on this hill.

My ONE critique would be that I actually wished we saw more of their just hanging out. I mean, there's a bit of a flashback in the last couple eps where she recalls the fun times between them, and I was like, 'wait, can we see more of that?'. Because we got the awkward forced dating but then I really wanted to see that they eased into being friends and stuff. Do they have fun together? What do they laugh at? Do they have a similar taste in movies or tv shows? What I do appreciate is that they showed that the two of them really worked well together. They found out that they have similar goals and then really played to each other's strengths. And in fact, the male lead was like, 'I can't wait to get to that sweet moment of making new products together'. That was such a great character moment I thought.

All in all, I really do think this was such a solid series totally worth watching.
