Shortcut (2017)

A single Filipina mother migrant in Japan, Erlinda, is juggling three jobs to provide for her college daughter's tuition fee (Hairstyling School), daily living expenses and her sick mother's medication and treatment in the Philippines. She is a factory worker, a janitress, and at night a hostess at a small Philippine pub which her daughter Yumi (20s) is totally against. Erlinda's patron customer Kazuo (male 40s) takes her out for paid dates every week. One morning, Yumi accidentally finds some hotel amenities inside Erlinda's bag which made her suspicious about what her mother does every night. Confused and bothered, Yumi decided to stalk and follow her mom for her self-enlightenment, until she discovers the reality about Erlinda that changed Yumi's image of her forever.
