Heartbreaking.
Bible has once again pulled out all the stops to reveal what a great actor he is! His performance was so moving, so beautifully enacted, so deliriously loaded with emotions, it really hit you right in the feels. Heartbreaking, yet so powerful; he just nailed it. Jes, whom I am less familiar with brought his A-game as well. You could see his experience and talent oozing out of every scene, and he was fantastic too. They could tell a super powerful love story, truly affecting, within 20 minutes of screen time for both.To me, the story is all about the love between two people - one who loved too much and one who loved too little. It was a love for which Garn was ready to give everything; he poured his heart and soul into that love until his last breath. On the other hand, Tul chose to go by the expectations of society and so he went for a wife and child. He did not repent his choice, but somewhere in his heart, he felt sorry that his love for Garn was not strong enough to match Garn's feelings.
Seriously, they both did amazing! ꨄ

Regrets?
And here goes another sad, sad, gay, unrequited/restrained love story. And they are tugging on each and every heart string. And it is annoying! But it is also probably very real! This short film stars two BL actors but it is not a BL: it is a gay story. It is not fantasy, it is the real life.
Two young actors meet at a film workshop. They hit it off immediately and one falls for the other immediately. But the other has different plans for his life: he wants to get married and have kids. So the first one carries on with the crush for years, making it seem real only while filming different BL films. Until he dies of heart failure.
Spaceless is, thankfully, a very short film but even so they managed to cram a maximum of useless flashbacks (they do so love those flashbacks in thai bl productions!). I would have preferred to see that time used differently: to show their relationship in depth, to explain their life choices, to see how his wife takes the eternal presence of her husband's love of his life through their daughter's name. Actually, I found it creepy and not fair to her: it seems like she is the second chioce, someone he decided to be with in order to comply with the society's requirements of what is acceptable!
It was never really clear, to me at least, if he loved him as a friend or as a man but refused to act upon those feelings. Whichever it was, it was tragic and useless. But on the other hand, they managed to remain friends! So go figure: I guess he accepted any crumb that came his way. A life (8yrs!) spent pining after someone who refuses to accept his feelings, though he recognized their existence, is such a waste.
The actors were good, they had correct chemistry for the story. The cinematography is very pretty and the music unfortunately unremarkable considering the film was based on a song!

I don't know that both actually can deliver it perfectly in an aesthetic way, but they nail it, one is love for their bonding, and another is love for their lasting. I know everyone at least feel it once in a life, the kind of love like that, that's why so many people feel it, the ftustation, the confusion, the depression, all of it is packed in not more than 20 minutes, bravo to all 🖤

Absolutely Heartbreaking
In essence, this 20-minute short film imparts more than most BLs do in 12 episodes. Ironically, it also goes deeper emotionally than most BLs ever go as well. Additionally, it is one of the best acted BLs from Thailand I have seen in a long time. So, in that sense, this film is genuinely a paragon. As much as this is a gem, I rejected its subtle underlying message ardently and found it quite demoralizing as a gay man. Allow me to explain. The saga itself is not exactly original but how it is told, is. It is creative with its intent to pull at the heartstrings. Two young men meet at an audition for a series and initially form a friendship. Instantly. There is a natural connection between the two and there is also an organic chemistry between the two. They seem to have an instinctual bond to one another, as if it was meant to be. So much so that they are ‘shipped ‘together and over the years do one series/movie after another.

watch it and sob
Allergies. I’m not crying, you’re crying!(Not the most original story but it managed to have its own identity in such a short span of minutes. It’s sad that it’s this sad, but at least I knew that going in. I could see this developed into a full picture or a miniseries, though that would be the devil’s work ‘cause imagine a full hour or MULTIPLE HOURS of enduring the pain of just knowing. Don’t anyone there! Let it rest.
Anywho, I was testing this to see if Bible and Jes were good together and it totally managed ti convince me to go watch 4 Minutes now, so that’s about what I’m gonna do now!

Tugs on your heartstrings
"The story was great. It allows you to experience the two characters' dilemmas, goals, and feelings as they consider why they take certain actions. Was it all destined to happen? The film progresses in a melancholic way with beautiful cinematography and excellent symbolism.Bible's acting skills are top-tier. He has proven himself in roles such as Vegas in 'Kinn Porsche and Kan in this short film. Jes, as Tul, was also fabulous. Their chemistry was sizzling, and the acting felt natural and right. The music combined gave a heartbreaking feel to the film.
I don't think it had a bad ending as many are portraying; instead, I would term it as a "tragic" one. Right from the beginning, I could foresee the impending ending, and as a viewer, there was nothing I could do to stop it. TulKan I'll forever love you. I loved every second of it.
I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a captivating and emotionally resonant story, with top-notch acting and beautiful cinematography. It's worth a watch!

Life choices
This short film had my heart aching. The two ML's had a deep respect and love for each other. One was sexually and romantically devoted; the other loved and possibly was attracted but had a different perspective. It's unfair to say the one who chose a conventional mate and subsequent family loved less. He desired a family and a child. The fact he chose that path doesn't make his love less or his choices a compromise. Perhaps social expections exerted strong influences on him or perhaps he loved his partner in the bl series they starred in but on a personal level not in a romantic and sexual way. I think it's unfair to minimalize either of the ML's feelings or choices. The whole short film was performed remarkably well and had a depth of perspective that ignites conversation and thought. On a different note: the two ML's have chemistry and are both excellent actors. I'm looking forward to seeing them paired in the series "4 Minutes".Was this review helpful to you?
Beautiful and heartbreaking
This is such a simple story, but Jes and Bible manage to give it such depth. The chemistry between the two is just so strong, and the characters feel natural and realistic. The yearning and heartbreak feels so real, and this movie just lets you feel all this raw emotion. The heart-wrenching of one loving too little and one too much is just so beautifully conveyed in just 20 minutes. Especially Bible once again showed his exceptional acting skill. I cannot wait for him to produce more content. Was this review helpful to you?

an absolutely devastating must-watch
I remember when spaceless came out a few months ago and I didn't watch it, but now that 4 minutes is almost over, I figured I would. And holy shit.I am so glad that I skipped it when it came out during pride month cause it is an absolute masterpiece of an emotional hate crime 😭
Anyone who thinks Jes and Bible don't have chemistry is a fucking idiot, they are perfect! The scene by the water is literally devastating and they both played it so well. It's so sad, but so beautiful.
Bible was the standout for me, just the utter devastation on his face in most scenes, and then the end, the soft smile after Tul tells Garn that he named his daughter after him.
The story itself is just so devastating (I know I keep using that word, but it's the most fitting) because Garn was willing to suffer just so that he could still have Tul in his life. And I don't blame Tul entirely for the way he treated Garn, but I do hate him just a little bit for knowing how Garn felt and lowkey leading him on. But props for being honest and telling him that it was never gonna happen. It's still sad tho because it almost feels like Garn died of a broken heart 😭

HATE THE PREMISE, LOVE BIBLE
I'm in a fix, kinda.I watched this, twice. Just to be sure of my opinion, which is - Bible's character dies and I will not have it this way.
I've got some other reasonable points to make as well, just hear me out:
First off, that wasnt being stupid, that was pure and simple internalised homophobia which isn't a very good look on anybody but more so on a Thai BL actor.
Secondly, he has the b@lls on him to say that he loves this dude and goes ahead to marry a woman, have a kid with her in a year - disgusting move cause sooner or later it's gonna come out and ruining another human being's life cause you are too ashamed of yourself isn't some act of bravery. It's pure and simple cowardly behaviour. That too in the 21st century, "it's impossible" isn't an excuse.
And lastly, just because he named his kid after the guy he mildly liked for about 9 years or so and pretended to not like, doesn't wash away the first 2 points.
Hence, I absolutely hate the premise of the film to begin with. Apart from that, their acting is quite alright, separately. Of course, I have my own biases about Bible being paired up with someone other than Build but clearly they had a better chemistry than whatever this was (it's purely my opinion).
Let's see what 4 Minutes has to offer. I hope it's as good as the plot, trailer and video poster was.
