Nian Shang Da Shu Hen Hen Ai (2024)

This is a nice and fast pacing miniseries. Although the drama is tagged as romance, it must also be a comedy since there are the typical interruptions when they are about to kiss, funny sound effects, and also quite a few comical moments. There are not many intimate scenes but the lead couple’s interactions are cute and they developed a heartwarming slow-burning romance that comes about from the profound care , and later the love, that grew between them. The leading lady is lovely, smart, and kind. The male lead is poised and confident, but at the same time, he is caring and affable and he will do anything to keep her and everything to protect her. Unmemorable age gap romance with rather immature characters.

(I rate vertically filmed micro dramas on their own sliding scale). May be okay for one watch for fans of the actors or the trope premise. I like age gap dramas, but there are other vertical dramas that have done this plotline better. I like these actors too, but prefer other stories they've done.
Cute but after the beginning kind of boring. The actors are good but the characters are generic. The FL gets rather annoying; hot-headed, jumps to judgments, and whines and cries A LOT.
Some sexual/romantic tension moments but not much intimacy. Mostly green flag ML but he needed to use his words to communicate instead of trying to force kisses on the FL to express himself.
Found myself a bit annoyed multiple times. Overall unmemorable except for the funny scene at the hospital in the very beginning.
