Dareka ga Kono Machi de (2024)

Masaki Yuichi works as an investigator for a law firm. He used to work as a secretary for a politician, but he agonized over his involvement in raising a slush fund, and he endured his daughter taking her own life. His daughter's death left him with a deep emotional wound and regret. He is still unable to overcome the loss of his daughter. One day, a girl named Mochizuki Maki visits the law firm and asks for help in finding her family. When she was an infant, she was separated from her parents, and she grew up at an orphanage. Yuichi and Maki visit the town where she once lived with her family. They learn that there was a case of a boy being kidnapped and murdered in the town.
