Cringe and cliche
There were some parts that were actually laugh out loud funny, and that was pleasantly surprising. Overall, however, this went exactly how I expected a 2004 movie to go — chock full of the worst cliches, cringy, and a lot of creepy and problematic scenes turned into humor. A lot of this just didn't sit right with me, including a lot of decisions made by the characters that just did not make much sense to me and felt very cookie-cutter and taken from common movie and tv show tropes. I didn't feel much chemistry between the main characters, partly because of that. Was this review helpful to you?
This one definitely did not suit my taste.

Development of characters is prominent and you feel their chemistry. Music is not that much presentable and some scenes are really gross. the drawback of this movie is its totality. when you connect the plot with acting and music you expect something unique and more enthusiastic as this is a love story of teen which is symbol of blossom romance but that is missing here.
If you want something funny with beautiful faces then go for it

It was okay.
Definitely not the best movie I've watched, but given the time it came out it was okay. The story was nice, and it had some funny moments, but there were some parts that I just wasn't into. It's a good watch if you want to watch a quick and romance based movie. Initially, I thought it was a cliche silly romance, but it did delve into a more serious take near the end. I liked the acting, it was nicely done, but the characters were a bit on the annoying side
It was overall okay, and if you're looking for something to pass the time with, this would be good enough to watch to do so.

I watched this movie ages ago when I first got into Korean dramas and movies, so I had no frame of reference for what Korean media was like back then, and I remember being immediately hooked on the story (much like I was with many other movies and dramas from that time) despite how outlandish and stereotypical and just Odd it was. I rewatched it last night to refresh my memory on the story so that I could write up a review for it, and I have to admit, my feelings have not changed all that much. Of course, now that I've been a Korean media druggie for awhile, I can see all the typical hallmarks of old school Kdramas/movies as well as all of the flaws I totally ignored on my first viewing. This is one of those classic K movies that if it came out today exactly as is, I doubt it would be all that popular. (Although I bet someone could do a successful modernized remake.) But even still, there's something about this movie that makes you love it. The actors really sell their characters. (I had no idea Ha Ji Won played the female lead until re-watching. I was That new to dramas the first time I watched it, lol. Considering the types of roles she's gone on to do, it was fun seeing her doing something so incredibly different.) The story is something we've all seen a thousand times before at this point, and yet it doesn't feel bland or overdone. It just feels like a lot of fun.Because this movie came out when it did, it was perfectly poised for future cult classic status. And honestly, it deserves that status. I don't expect that I'll watch it again, unless it's in another ten years from now to be like 'Oh yeah. That movie.' But I mean it when I say it's a fun movie and required viewing for any Korean drama/movie fan.
(Just so you know, the finale scene is confusing and I don't really know what the purpose of it is, so I just ignore it and recommend you do the same.)
Also, WARNING: There is gross-out, toilet, not really sure what to call it, humor sprinkled throughout this movie. Things involving boogers and other bodily fluids, one particularly gross bit in the later half that I won't even type up because then I might vomit. It's not pervasive throughout the movie. Most of it occurs towards the beginning/the first half of the film, and it is spaced pretty evenly. But if you don't like that sort of thing or need a warning beforehand, well here's your warning.

Acting/Cast: The cast is really awesome the actors and actresses portrayed their characters really well. Each character has a special trait about them and it's really funny. The leads have cute chemistry too.
Music: I didn't pay much attention to.
Re-watch value: It's a great time killer to watch this movie
Overall: Overall I really liked this movie it has some funny and some cute chemistry between the leads.

Utterly charming even with all the overacting and pathetic print
This was a 2004 release, and watching this movie felt like taking a glimpse into South Korean society in the past—when it was less about plastic surgeries and designer brands, and more about their reserved culture. The makeup was abysmal, with all that chalky, single-tone foundation and dusty bubblegum-pink blushes. I’m certain there were no such things as acting classes back then, judging by their overacting. Yet, still... still, there's something about the love stories from that era that makes our hearts skip a beat every now and then. The leads don’t kiss readily, they don’t smooch, but viewers will get goosebumps just at the sight of them holding hands—if you know what I mean.Moving on, the plot wasn’t something you haven’t already seen; it’s quite overused by today’s standards. The story was cute, revolving around a high school girl and a handsome college guy. The love story began with fights, frustration, irritation, and those classic "wait till I kill you" vibes, which soon blossomed into a sweet friendship and eventually into love.
Background music was BOMB
The plot was silly, the acting was atrocious, but for some reason, I enjoyed it immensely. I found myself laughing at their absurd chases and feeling butterflies whenever they came close. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

Definitely recommend!!
If you're looking for something that will make you laugh til your sides hurt and give you all sorts of warm and fuzzy feelings, then this is the movie for you. This is one of my favorite movies! Granted the film quality isn't the greatest due to the year it was made in, but it was still worth the watch. At first I thought I was watching something adapted from a manga with how weird and quirky the jokes were. But that's one of the many things i loved about it. Now I will agree it was quite fast paced. But come on, with only 1 hr and 35 min there's only so much you can fit. The cast were so cute and fun to watch. I loved all of them. Not only does this movie have the nice happy moments, but it does have some serious and sad moments. It's all worth for the end though! Was this review helpful to you?
Hmm
This is the kind of movie/plot that would make you say "hmmm, I think I read this before" but in actuality you haven't watched this particular movie but you'd watched hundreds of movies with the same plot. It's the typical jerk falls for school girl.Besides it being comedic it wasn't that much of an enjoyable watch. No one can convince me that the main characters actually fell in love. Everything seemed forced and fast paced.
I would 100% recommend watching it and forming your own opinions on this but this is mine.

Waste of time
I watched this after considering that this was made a very long time ago. I purposely watched it due to the cliche plot because I wanted something lighthearted, but this wasn't very pleasant. It isn't because of the cliches, it's more due to the production, acting, and direction of this movie. It's just old, and I think this type of acting was the trend back then... Yeah... If this was done nowadays in a form of a story that's written in a better manner and more advanced production, it would be a typical fun cliche. otherwise, taking it as is, it's just horrible. Was this review helpful to you?
cast - i don't really like the girl, but her acting was good. the guy was a good actor and i liked his character a lot. there was chemistry between them, but it didn't gave you that feeling of "they HAVE to be together in the end!!!".
music- i didn't really like it....
rewatch value- i probably wouldn't rewatch it, but it would be nice to, if i didn't have anything else to do.
overall - if you haven't seen any AMAZING drama/movie, you will like this. if you have seen amazing drama/movie, you'll think this is lacking something, but you'll watch it still.
