Shan Ye Yi Si (2021)

This is an anthology of horror folklore from China. The similarity is, of course, this is a folktales.

The movie is similar to episode 8 of Shan Ye Yi Si (love story between a virgin scolar and the ghost seducing him) . The finale is VERY different.

both tell a couple of short stories
with different sets of characters
many scenes in the woods and solitary places
ghosts, immortal beings, fox spirits

The vibes in both dramas were similar. Remote (spooky) villages, abandoned forests, interesting side plots and folktales with supernatural elements
