The wedding story of a southern Muslim bride named Sofia with her Isan university senior Khai who is Buddhist. The two have cultural and religious differences, but it doesn't seem like they'll pose much of a problem given the strength of their love. Khai's groomsman Joei will be making the trip to their wedding in southern Thailand with him. He's the only person Khai can talk to. Just when it seems everything will be smooth sailing, problems start when Sofia's manipulative older brother Lee — who Sofia's seen as dangerous since childhood — comes into the picture. He doesn't like change, isn't open to new ideas, and believes he's the only one who's ever correct. With great love and worry for his younger sister, Lee's disagreement with their union causes a big issue. He does not believe that love can last across so great a cultural and religious divide.
