Love Story in Harvard I can say is no masterpiece especially in my eyes but I will say that I am glad I found the drama. Love Story in Harvard is one of the many dramas which starts off great but sadly goes down hill in the last few episodes.

The drama started off so well when they were in America where there was no resentment and all we had was the love triangle starting and a pair of young adults falling deeply in love. The chemistry between the main two leads was probably the best thing about the drama to be honest and even though having amazing chemistry is needed it can't hide the little flaws which can bring down a once great drama.

When I think back to when I watched Love Story in Harvard I remember being happy at first and being thankful I gave the drama a chance because at first I was bit hesitant. In the past before I started Love Story in Harvard I didn't really like Kim Tae Hee because of her character Han Yoo-ri from Stairway to Heaven. Back then if a character upset me I would automatically dislike the actor/actress(not anymore). The second I saw Kim Tae Hee playing in this drama all of that hatred disappeared and I started to really like the actress enough to watch other of her works.

When the drama shifted from America to Korea with the many years later gap I felt I lost a bit of love for the show and even though the first few episodes in the next installment was exciting because of the resentment and falling in love again. When all was said and done the drama went down another path and I honestly found myself watching the drama very slowly and pausing constantly. In the end I made it to the end and I have to say I don't think I will ever re-watch this drama. It was enjoyable while it lasted. I would suggest spending those 16 hours of your life on another drama.

So I read the synopsis of Love Story in Harvard and thought i'd give it a go and did not regret it. The romance was really good and I really felt the chemistry between the two leads. This drama really made me want to fall in love just like the characters, while attending university. The flow of story line is smooth, and makes you want to watch the next episode (for me personally at least) . Love the direction of the story-line, I recommend you give it a watch, you won't regret it!

If this was a 2020s drama... it would be cancelled

There were so many red flags in this drama! Maybe this was 'acceptable' in 2004, but you wouldn't see this type of story line now. The slap!!!! Just because the ML was mad at the FL for leaving. If a guy is violent over this, he'll probably be violent every time he's mad. The ML was also so demanding and controlling, forcing the FL to do everything he wanted and demanded. ML dragged the FL around and forced her to get a car and brought her to a hotel when she didn't want to. I don't know how this is romantic... Also, when you wake up while holding someone and realize you overslept, you don't just throw the person you were holding onto the floor!!!! This is what the ML did to FL in episode 10! After the slap, the drama just started to go downhill. I guess the writers made it seem like the ML changed for the worse after the FL left?!?

Often the screenwriter leaves the actors to carry the show and this is the case here. Kim Rae Won and Kim Tae Hee light up the screen with their sizzling romance. There are genuine emotions and feelings, hot, sexy kisses, and lovemaking from the onset. This is why I love some of these older dramas. You don't have to sit through 16 hours for a mere henpeck of a kiss.

If you've seen Sunflower, you already know the talent Kim Rae Won exhibits. And Kim Tae Hee is the wicked stepsister you love to hate in Stairway to Heaven. Then in Iris, she is the cool agent the others all vie to win over. Yes, these two are electric together.

Unfortunately, the storyline is full of holes. Kim Tae Hee as a Harvard medical student with time for 2 jobs, volunteer work, and dating is ludicrous! And poor Lee Jung Jin is reduced to a groveling, rejected, lovelorn suitor the entire drama. No normal person would hang on that long!

If you are not a romance fanatic, skip this one. If you are, you will be rewarded. This is, after all, dramaland where the story does not always have to be realistic to work.

BEST VALENTINE DAY BINGE WATCH (if you aren't with your NamjaChhingu )

Hyper Chemistry!!

Kim Rae Won has a magic that make his FL's SHINE!! And he brings in the magic and chemistry .. WHY??
Because his HOT roles are consistent no matter who the actress.

He is one actor from the Kdrama stable who acts with HIS WHOLE body.

The show had an engaging story line - albeit borrowed ideas from other sources, but blended and adapted SO engagingly that it holds the attention ...

The FL and ML scenes / development arcs were JUST ADDICTIVE.

The 9.5 rating is 85 percent for Kim Rae Won and what he managed to get out of Kim Tae Hee (who is a so so actress .. in her other roles that I have watched).

It's a 10/10 for a ROMANCE genre show. One of the BEST I have watched. Also because it have one of the BEST EVER physicality I have seen on Kdrama .. SQUEEEEEE GALORE!!

Go for it this VALENTINE - you won't regret it IMO

It's ONLY on Dramacool I think. Use VPN on US server

How I wish KOCOWA or VIKI would buy it ..

I am 100 % sure it would find a HUGE following.

P.S. Not to forget to mention that this is a RARE Kdrama that wasn't afraid to deal with race issues (shows Black people / Asian Illegal Immigrant / Capitalist greed and corruption of MNCs that to this day are getting away with criminal acts in Developing nations. AND it highlights AIDs as a killer disease worthy of care and compassion and not a mark of shame.)

Thank you Screen writer and director for a GEM .. I hope it resurfaces almost 20 years since it first aired

To be honest, I fell in love with this dorama when I watched it for the first time, it was about 15 years ago. If you know that this film was aired in Korea in 2005, but in my country (Uzbekistan) it was translated in 2007 (if I'm not mistaken). Today I'm 23, and I suddenly remembered this series again, although I don't know why))) Now I feel like I just want to be on their pleace in this drama and act out these scenes. All the things like songs, soundtrack, episodes, actors - everything was picked up just amazing. I am very grateful for these emotions from this dorama. Just a great and professional job.

With love Rakhmon..

Worth watching for that slap scene...

Goddamn that was a top tier slap. The biggest highlight in the drama! Anyway, both ML and FL had a great chemistry. However, the story was barely serviceable and full of plot holes, especially the first half while being in Harvard. Might be worth watching for the chemistry and brief romance but I wouldn't stick for the story at all.

Romance e Ambição no Prestigiado Cenário Acadêmico
