Thai female characters really need to stop screaming.
The premise of “Love You My Arrogance” is actually quite interesting. I knew going into it that I have to lower my expectations because this is really short - 8 episodes of 15 mins each. Unfortunately, I still came out frustrated because the execution is really not there.My biggest complaint, and the most subjective complaint, is how loud these women are. My ears were bleeding when I was watching the first couple episodes. Brownie can’t stop screaming at the top of her lungs, professing her love for Sun. Then she yells and cries and I want to stop watching so badly. I persisted, thinking it will get better and it’s only a short drama. Then Anna keeps this annoying tradition going. She can’t seem to speak normally and raises her voice even when she’s not arguing. She also acts like a know-it-all and is very argumentative. I know this probably only affects me and I understand Thai dramas can be like this. My tolerance is just not there, especially when I don’t like the two female characters.
Luckily, the boys are better and they have a cute little brotherhood going. How they like to grab and hug each other is funny. Sun is handsome but Pete is the MVP.
Acting wise, it was OK. I expected a little more from Nine and Mild. Plot wise, they spend too much time on Brownie screaming and apologizing. I wish they had spent more time in the Anna-helping-Sun part. The final twist in the end is interesting but it’s so short and casually mentioned that I couldn’t grasp the full impact. This short drama also seems like a tourism promotional production.
I heard season 2 is a little better and I might check it out. As a standalone, I am not sure if I will recommend it, and definitely not fellow viewers who are sensitive to screeching and screaming.

Short and easy to watch
Its not mind blowing, lets be honest. But I watched it all in one night. It dose not feel like a movie-nor a drama(mostly for being only 12mins each). For me there is not enough going on. I hear this was made for Thai tourism but they did not really use it best to make you want to go there. Which is so sad, it looks really pretty but they did not maximize the space given. The focus is too much on their youtube and not enough on plot.He's not really rude and she's not clingy. She's using him for her book ("investigating") and he dose not want to be around people.. like ever or has to be less than 5 at a time xD I do like their plot. The ending dose not match my feels. The big event(woods) is not enough for me. I just need more from them as a couple to believe it.
I am sad that 2 roles do drift away from the story and you hardly see them. With 12mins tho, you can not have everyone. I would have liked more of the 2nd couple too.
~But its quick and easy to watch. It kind of reminds me of going on trips with friends... then there is a couple randomly formed... but will they last in the real world? Prob not but your still happy for your friends as you see the development. Like a summer fling.

Wholesome
It's been such a joy to watch this. There is no unnecessary drama, no tragedy, nothing too scandalous. It's just the story of how two people fell in love with each other.I appreciate that all the characters have some depth to them. The story is very simple, but still enjoyable.
What I think is the biggest flaw is that it's too short. I felt disappointed everytime an episode ended, because I fully immersed myself in the story. It's like when your parents bring you to an amusement park and you would stay there all day long, but time flies by and when you start having the most fun, you already need to go home.
On the other hand I understand that this wasn't meant to be longer than it already is. There are some things they could have explored further, but they don't add nothing to the main love story.
It would be a good watch for when you're spending a day out and you have two hours to waste. Also the OST is so cool.

Just an average movie
I was intrigued by the synopsis of this story at first, but after watching it I concluded that this movie is mediocre. A little disappointed because the storyline could have been more interesting and exciting if the main plot was developed more. The story line is too fast, the plot twist at the end of the movie is a bit rushed. the two main characters have extraordinary abilities, I expect their storylines should be worked on and developed better considering the idea of the writer of this movie is outside the box. Overall, this story is ok to watch. Relaxed, light and simple.Was this review helpful to you?
