Violent thug Crocodile lives under a bridge by the Han River in Seoul together with a peddling boy and a homeless old man. Crocodile saves a beautiful young woman Hyun Jung from suicide by drowning, but only to use her for sex. Yet, for some reason the woman, betrayed by her lover, stays with Crocodile, and a peculiar family-like friendship forms between the four homeless people. Aceptable debut de Kim Ki-duk
Opera prima del tristemente fallecido Kim Ki-duk, otro de esos grandes artistas que nos ha arrebatado el maldito Coronavirus.Crocodile es una película de clara orientación social, que retrata los bajos fondos de Seúl bajo el punto de vista de tres personajes marginados cuya triste vida se ve transformada por la llegada de una chica a la que impiden suicidarse en el río.
No se trata de una película especialmente dinámica ni tampoco es un derroche de diversión, pero consigue mantener el interés y nos presenta a un director con mucho, pero mucho que contar.
Te echaremos de menos, Kim.
