Red Sorghum (2014)

Both dramas feature a strong female lead going through life adversities and runs their own businesses. Red Sorghum is set in about 20 years after the Qing Dynasty ended.

The tough life of someone who has to fight everyday to reach uphill due to the men in their life. Both characters show the trials of youth into adulthood and are commoner status women who use their intelligence to be better and above the expectations presumed by others.
