Something is amiss in the Kanto region. As earthquakes rock the area, journalist Togakure Kyoko investigates a series of mysterious suicides. In all the cases, the victims showed symptoms of delusion and unnatural thirst and bore out their own eyes before killing themselves. One of the dead, professor Morikawa, left a message warning of "death water", which he had been studying prior to his death.
