Even though I felt that it was lacking in something on the surface, that I couldn't quite pinpoint, it still had a lot of depth and talent in pulling the viewers heartstrings. The three main actors all did an amazing job which made the story more believable and worth remembering. Over all, it has that dark atmosphere running through almost the entire movie and even though it's more slow paced than the trailer made it out to be, it is definitely worth your time and it will most likely leave you wanting to re-watch it later on (or at least with a craving to recommend it to everyone you know).

The narrative does keep to its intended track pretty safely - the antagonizing event strikes at a pretty predictable spot in the movie and the characters crack when they're expected to. But as is reflected in the story, the deviant streak that brews under the surface and suddenly erupts still takes you by surprise.
Where this movie excels is the casting - I think the casting reflected the characters and the actors' respective inclinations very well.
A pretty entertaining movie that leaves you with a little something to think about, but it does evaporate pretty quickly.

A gritty thriller with friendships involved.
Hyun Tae (Ji Sung), In Chul (Ju Ji Hoon), and Min Soo (Lee Kwang Soo) were three longtime best friends. One day, they teamed up to stage a robbery for an insurance settlement. A mishap in their actions lead their friendships to turn sour. This is a pretty dark and gloomy watch. It didn't really deliver for me. When I think about the plot, I had a hard time filling in the missing pieces. Also, the friendship was not stressed enough and there was not enough character development. What went down among them felt jarring to me.
However, I love how it makes me feel. The action is great and the performance shows a lot of depth. All three leads did amazing, they really pulled my heartstrings especially at the second half. I know Ji Sung is great but so do Lee Kwang Soo and Ju Ji Hoon, well done, everyone! This movie left a mark, the ending was unexpected and it remains in my memory. I would recommend if you are in the mood for a serious, dark, rather noir-themed movie.
Fun fact: The three leads did spin-off in Runningman episode 202 – 203, it was smart and funny, watch this one anytime! I guarantee you’ll be entertained! I laughed so hard and actually was impressed with the teamwork. It was one of my fave Runningman episodes!^^

Great Performances
Ji Sung, Ju Ji-hoon, and Lee Kwang-soo blew me away with their performances. They were all absolutely amazing.Frankly, I would have been quite happy to watch the three of them getting into innocent, madcap adventures. Tragically, we get a far better story and we’re all the more devastated for it.
The moral of the story: if you can’t cut loose your friends of questionable ethics, at least keep them at arm’s length because you never know when - not if - they’ll drag you down with them.

I don't know, I just couldn't get into it. Maybe it's not my cup of tea but might work for others, I have no idea. I love movies that get straight to the point and in this case it took more than 30 minutes to get to the actual point. I feel like there were some filler scenes that shouldn't have been there. I mean the movie is 2 hours and to be able to keep me interested for such a long time, you don't really need to have fillers.
The idea of the movie is cool, actually. It just wasn't executed well in my humble opinion. The cast did a great job though and that's why I managed to finish it somehow. Ji Sung was brilliant as always and he had great chemistry with Joo Ji Hoon and Lee Kwang Soo. But even their good performances couldn't save the movie for me.
The ending was good though, I must admit. But anyways, I don't think this movie is worth watching. I guess there are people who might like it, but I did not. A lot of comments are saying that this movie is not what it looks to be and what trailers show and I have to agree. Just know that Confession might be a lot more different than what you expect. It's slow paced and it lacks intensity. It might suit your taste if you like slow paced movies with cool directing and good acting, but still, wouldn't recomment it.
