Loved it, Loved it Loved it! I could end my review there, but there is so much more about this series that I want to say. Spoiler restrictions prevent me from saying about 80% of what I, otherwise, would write, so I will comply. It's a story about hard times that, through a stroke of good luck, ill will, nefarious dealings, buckle-down hard work and even wilder twists on a well-worn theme, eventually turns out to be a morality tale that we all can be edified by.

Our Hero strives to survive under the harsh circumstance of misfortune due to his unknown parentage through hard work in the street-stall marketplace among the merchants who have adopted him as one among their 'family'. This allows him to escape the certainty of a life of crime which would have inevitably lead to his early demise. At a time he thought he had shaken the grip of the street's vicious hand, a calamity, which had nothing to do with him becomes at once the opening of a whole new world of wealth and power, as well as, a slippery path leading to his own destruction. Any lesser man would have succumbed early to the lure set before him to facilitate his fall, but not our Hero.

Love interests in conflict with his self-realized moral code, traps laid by apparent benefactors, breaches of trust at every turn and plot twists (just to keep the storyline moving) incite, invigorate and initiate --cue the fanfare-- his own unrelenting will to overcome, succeed and thrive. The odds stacked against him were indeed overwhelming, but for him, 1% is enough of a formidable alternative to the 99% of certain doom and becomes the underdog's best case scenario. Our Hero comes through with flying colors; bloody but unbowed, battered but unbroken, bruised but unbeaten.

'Big Man' reminds me of dramas I've seen before, but the portrayal the lead Actor puts in, blows ALL the others away. This was running as a currently scheduled program airing at the time I first came across it. But, as is my habit, I refused to watch until most of the episodes were posted at my favorite streaming drama venue so that I could marathon it. This is the best way to consume a series of this length so that the ep-to-ep continuity goes uninterrupted.

Action, drama, comedy, Love story, big business intrigue, seedy underworld criminal perfidy, this one has it all and never skimps on any constituent ingredient. Watch 'Big Man' and you'll agree with me, walking away after the final credits roll, saying,"Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!"; At which time, you may quote me on that...

It was torture watching the "unnatural" acting of Kim Ju Hyuk and the one expression of the lead actress. He was trying too hard to act the "dumb" person. After so many obstacles and revenge plots between the 2 lead actors, it got tiring after awhile, so it kinda got slow and irritating midway. I had th skip 4 epsiodes and just watch the ending. So every episode, something will come up against Kim Ju Hyuk, gets resolved and then another cycle begins. This just goes on and on for about 7-10 of the episodes. And I was hoping to enjoy it when I saw the good ratings... So I am one of the few that regrets watching it.

Acting was exceptionally great except for Lee Da Hee! She ruined a lot for me because every scene she was on sucked. I don't know, maybe it's just her character or something but she was bland and boring until she proved herself worthy in the latter part of the drama. Jung So Min totally nailed it as well as pretty much everyone else in this drama. Choi Daniel was brilliant and his character was beautifully twisted, just perfectly evil. Kang Ji Hwan, do we even need to mention that this kind of dramas are like made for him?! Goofy character who knows when to get serious and how to be cool without trying.

I know better revenge dramas than this but Big Man gets exceptionally high marks from me and gets at least in top 10 of my favorites! One reason is because I was totally addicted, I literally couldn't wait for another episode to come out. There were enough plot twists to keep this show entertaining but towards the end the pattern kept repeating and the show became repetitive, not to mention predictable. That ate a bit from my ratings.

There were a few exceptionally flat moments when the tension kept rising and keeping you on the edge when suddenly you'd realize what was going to happen yet there was still one more episode before that thing would happen because some of the obvious things had to be done. I understand that this couldn't be avoided but it killed some of the brilliance for me.

Often, in this kind of shows, outrageous things happen but Big Man managed to keep it real most of the time. I didn't constantly feel like "come on, that's so ridiculous", of course, that whole heart transplant thing in the beginning was outrageous but somehow everything was toned down. I'd say so many things in this drama were wonderfully perfect. It's a nice package which doesn't fall apart. The last two episodes fell flat for me, they lacked tension but went on smoothly and I was satisfied with the ending which fit this show pretty well.

The only thing which I am disappointed with is the love part of the story, there was no chemistry between the main characters, nothing at all and I wished they wouldn't end up together. Luckily most of the time the show didn't concentrate on love though, Biig Man was more about revenge and business than anything else.

Shock!! Shock!! Shock!!deserve 8/10 at least. Marginal spoiler!!!

I was going to write just a simple review, but after reading so many negative comments, i had to write one... Only reason ratings are low is because jung so min isn't the girl and that girl might have cheated on guy with another guy.. But that's not the case.. 2ML was despicable just like his family (family of Psychopaths) . He wasn't sincere towards the girl from the beginning. She was more like a project... Only reason he proposed because he might die. Other guy was innocent and sincere towards everyone.... Girl took pity on him, since everyone is deceiving him for the surgery. Unknowingly, that pity turned out to be pure. Don't trust these comments. Give it a go. It's a lot better than present eye-candy kdramas with little to no story yet getting 8+ ratings.. You can give it a go. Only thing i didn't like is the ml stupidity. He trust people easily..
