Sawan Biang (2008)

Both lakorns came out in the same year and worth giving it a go.
If you liked SLAP/KISS genre and conflicting emotions of love/hate/revenge then recommend checking out this lakorn. Yes, the main female lead gets kidnapped to an island for the majority of the drama- turns out to have kidnapped the wrong person and you think you know what's going to happen. Its one of the first of it's kind. :)

*In both dramas the female leads sister marries the male leads father.

*Also,in both versions the female leads sister tries to seduce the male lead.

*Male lead kidnapps the female lead for revenge

*Male lead also sexually assaults and rapes the female lead

More of Ken doing what he does best. Ra Rerng Fai lacks the nonconsensual scenes between the leads, and the target of the ML's rage is the FL's father. Ra Rerng Fai is still revenge but more about subtle deception, whereas Sawan Biang it's all crimes of passion and direct conflict. Both have pregnancy themes later on that are pretty similar. Ra Rerng Fai has amazing chemistry with the leads, but Sawan Biang showcases Ken's acting skills.

Both are slap and kiss and both are amazing! Excellent acting, cast and storyline. If you like one, you will like another.

Love is the best is based in the this thai lakorn - but the story has been tweaked a little

Both are same stories,only different versions of that story.

In 1998 version Kawee planned the rape but drugging all the servants so no one would help Narin when he attacked her.In 2008 version Kawee raped Narin after he kidnapped her.

In 1998 version Kawee`s father dies early on,even before he raped Narin.

In 1998 version Narin`s mother had never been aware of the rape incident until Kawee told her,and that relevation crushed her whereas Narin`s mother in 2008 version knew all along but acted ignorant of it.

Kawee grovels A LOT in 2008 version,in 1998 version we got very little of that.

In 2008 version Narin quickly stopped Kawee from slapping Leela back,but in 1998 version she didn`t come close on time to stop him from slapping Leela.(This is a utterly trainwreck..sigh)

These dramas are similar, because they both include: vengeance, violence and romance. Main male lead is agreesive and cruel (because of the past, misunderstanding) towards to a female lead.

*Both lakhorns are also slap-kiss,so expect lots of angst and hate-love scenes!
