Love Phobia (2006)

This was a pretty good, but tragic, movie.

It's about a girl and guy who love each other, but are separated because of a struggle with AIDS. Because she doesn't want him to suffer, she tries to avoid him, but he just can't let her go.

Seeing that he's unable to accept it, the two of them set something up to allow him to deal with the way the disease is slowly killing her.

You can't take the ending literally... it makes you think about what's really happening. If you have trouble with hidden meanings or anything, then I suggest watching it with someone who can help explain things to you so you don't get frustrated with the ending.

A very cute but sad love story. We get to see the revolution of love from grade school to adulthood. Its about two people, Ari/Eun Jeong and Jo Kang. Talk about love at first sight. Granted, this does not have the totally happy ending like most people would want and expect; however, if you look at it strictly for the acting and even the story, you can and will appreciate it. This showed the love that a man had for a woman regardless of her health because he simply loved her, pure perfect love. Something we should all hope for in life and a lot of us may never seen in this lifetime. Even though it has a sad ending, Jo Kang ended it with a smile because she was the great love of his life. Cha Seung Woo at his finest! Kang Hye Jung who played Ari, I've only recently seen her in a drama but both did very well!

first half is warm and second half is sad

Quite an interesting movie. For the two times before I couldn’t watch past 15 minutes. this was my third time watching it and completing it. I must say the first half is full of joy and warmth and the second half is a tearjerker. But I loved the ending, it was sad but happy at the same time.
The twist will definitely leave one in a shock.

A small school girl named Ari, wearing YELLOW RAINCOAT was going to school and see a boy Jo Kang. In the classroom she tells her classmate that she is cursed, and anyone who touches her gets hurt, everyone starts to stay away but Jo kang befriends her. But one day they touch each other while sheltering from rain. The next day jo kang gets measels and Ari disappears feeling bad.
The next time they meet is after several years, before Jo Kang goes to college. This time the love sparks and they kiss but then he falls ill.
The third time they meet is when Jo Kang is working, only discover a secret about Ari.

At first I thought that the stories made up by Ari was to keep her from the curse. I really believed her stories of parent death, friends getting hurt and alien completely. But then the story takes a turn. It shows she does that to avoid getting anyone infected with a disease. But during the end its surprising, everything is nice. the happiness jo kang gives to Ari is beyond words, I am satisfied with the end.

Acting was average, It could have been better by both the leads. It was story that kept me going

I wont do a rewatch as it was difficult for me to watch it completely for the third time too but the ending is worth it.
