K-dramas above all

I wonder why doesn't anybody prefer Jdramas and Tdramas. Try searching on youtube; you'll only see the best k-dramas compilation. Why is it that K-dramas are always ahead? Certainly because everybody has been poisoned by Korean culture. They are drugging us deep in our veins, and I thank them.

Now guys, here's a few explanations with a comparison of kisses.

------------------Enough Cuteness, I want passion and thrills------------------

1. Japan vs. Korea

Most of us have begun with J-dramas before loving K-dramas. We were still babies waiting for the ultimate moment patiently; thus the kiss appeared awesome. But after 5 dramas watched you just wanna say, "Oh my god! that sucks!". Then a miracle appears; K-dramas give you what you want. Happy smile! You discovered the difference between a cute and a passionate kiss.

→A cute kiss is pure and gentle. The girls stand still, eyes wide open, when the guy is only focused straight on
her lips, but she has forgotten to close her eyes. :3

→A passionate kiss generally has two persons kissing normally: moving their head shamelessly and moving
   their lips smoothly :p

Tada!
  • A striking example is in the most romantic and heart-breaking movie, Koizora, when they had their first night! It's supposed to be romantic, but I laughed!:D He even said, "I'll be kind."

Though, it's a good story. ^^

  • Another example, Stand Up!! With the handsome Yamapi. How could you two just stand there in the dark night? PS: And they haven't moved their lips. < ( You're  robots?)

Should I teach them how ?

  • And even the one of the best dramas, Hana Kimi, has no kiss. There was just a little one before Mizuki went back to America. (Hello, she's leaving!!!)

I haven't really watched many J-dramas, but I always remembered that the kisses weren't manly at all. Hello Japan, we are not kids anymore. LOL!

This kind of smooth, typical male character--too cool to be romantic--has given Japan a kid-like appearance in a world that can't stop growing. We need an evolution and innovation. Even though, they are first lovers: I can prove that Koreans' first lovers’ characters are less plain. Plus, you cannot always act like a young girl when you are an adult: you should do a real kiss, not a peck-like one. Just watch Playful Kiss and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Regardless of how I feel about J-dramas, I still have my personal compilation of great J-kisses:
  • Among them is the most beautiful goodbye kiss in the world! I think most of you remember the kiss at the airport under the evening sky, yes?

As expected, Domyouji is manly: he fights strongly and he's possessive, but we don't really see. ;p =>  Just kidding because all the others are really great.

Maybe J-dramas should opt for more complex characters, not the stocky or flat kind, and abolish any pureness. :-) In K-dramas, most of the successful dramas include manly and tough characters who lead their women. For example, Baek Seung Jo from Playful Kiss, Kim Jae Won from Secret Garden, Hwang Tae Gyung from You're beautiful, etc...

Should I really teach them how?

Though Japanese dramas generally don’t focus on skinship, they are sometimes more explicit on bed scenes, and they really like psychological and horror stories.

A lunatic style: mix of cute and scary to the extreme!!!

Korean’s fish kisses: of course they're not all perfect.

Of course, not all their dramas are flawless, but they are certainly more down to earth. Here’s the perfect example in Heartstrings.

What have you done?!!!!!!!! O-O’ Actually I did not even watch the drama, but Park Shin Hye could have scolded the CNBlue leader for his awkwardness.

Other Opinions

From allysongcg
I have never seen a t-drama or any j-dramas with good kisses, so my answer can only apply to k-dramas. I think that there are a lot of factors that go into what makes a kiss good. Did they make us wait an entire season for the kiss? If they did, then your expectations get higher because you had to wait so long. I personally love kisses where one character takes control of the situation. For instance, the kiss in Reply 1997 where the girl jokingly pushes the guy against the wall and just gives him a peck, and he backs her up against the counter and gives her an amazing kiss :) it's one of my favorites. Kisses that kind of come out of nowhere are also awesome, like the Tae Kyung kiss in You're Beautiful where he kisses her mid-argument, much to his own shock :p or when Hee Jin and Boong Do are talking in the hotel room and he takes the remote out of her hand and kisses her. But even though I think Korea is DAEBAK, Japan has another hide side that allows them to catch up the flow.

A perverted side in Japan?

I personally think Koreans are a little more reserve when it comes to any type of skinship, compared to the Japanese. Japanese are more comfortable with adult scenes, a lot of people even view them as perverts an example of that is anime lol. There is a lot of fantasy involved in Japanese dramas. Overall I think Asians are more reserved than other races.”
Why? Yeah, I myself admit ^^

The Koreans are really reserved when it comes to bed scene, even teenagers complain about elder’s reflexions. When you watch a show, some girl idols have a blanket or a cushion covering their legs!
Just watch the first sequence of Strong Heart 2 (Hwashin) about the generation gaps!

------------------Feeling the flame inside------------------

2. Korea vs. Taiwan

I think I may be less experienced with T-dramas, but it's still more than Japanese ones. I haven't really been disappointed by them so far. T-dramas are similar to K-dramas: the kisses are alive; you feel thrills as if you’re riding a manege.

Know what I mean ?
In fact, I just wanted to honor the ancestors, who without them we wouldn't have known Dramaland: most of the drama crazies have first watched manga, then listened to j-pop music through OSTs, and switched to j-dramas and watched j-movies to try k-remakes. Padam Padam: all of us have fallen in love with all that.

------------------Conclusion, I prefer K-dramas------------------

Even if I'm tired of Japan's ideal kiss, I still like their stories. But I think they should change the male's images before all Japanese girls run away from them. I mean, even Korean dramas are airing in Japan, whereas Korea prefers remaking J-dramas than airing the originals. For T-dramas, I think the language is not as lovable as Korean, and the country is small.

You need a romantic atmosphere!
True: because if you don’t there wouldn’t be a kiss, the director is really aware of that.

  • Looking at each other like they’re only 2 in the world.
  • Nobody around them

This kiss happens at day and you see that it’s a close-up shot, though most happens at night, so it feels good. Plus the fact that he’s in the bus makes the kiss even more inaccessible like: “Don’t wanna leave you !"
Anyway, it’s the work of the writers, the director and the staff…

The Audience
Of course, sometimes you don’t understand why the kisses are this bad. In fact, it’s due to the public: if youngsters are watching then no French kiss is allowed.
Generally school dramas or even family drama.

Actors’s chemistry and their ability to kiss
From my point of view, if you’re acting then it’s not a problem, but if the lead actors aren’t friends then it could cause a big problem to the story’s alchemy.
Kim Sun Ha and Yoon Eun Hye dramas.

From genger
What do you think is problem when each character in whatever dramas comes up in your mind kisses ? no matter how romantic the scene is...fish kisses drive me nuts ( FBND & Heartstrings & Proposal Daisakusen Special) *What are the characteristics of the kisses? Of course the situation - The unintentional ( except for You're Beautiful...I hated all those kisses), …- The ability of the actors/actresses to kiss… ”
Plus, if the actors are not experienced or bad at kissing: TROUBLE, trouble!

Korean quality

On the other hand I don't think that they are better than the Taiwanese ones...maybe they are sat in a more beautiful and romantic environment.

The art of doing the things well done, look in Flower Boy Next Door!

To conclude, we have different taste even though most of us watch Korean dramas. As for me, I’m not experienced enough to say more.

So everyone, how should you kiss ?
