The K-movie A Normal Family is winning accolades from international film festivals.
A Normal Family won the Directors Week Best Screenplay award at the 44th Fantasporto or the Porto International Film Festival. It also clinched the Best Scenario award at this year's Mons International Film Festival.
Maxime Dieu, the general delegate of the Mons International Film Festival, commented on the K-movie, stating, "It was interesting how the movie blurs the boundary between good and evil, and utilizes the values of the two brothers' families."
A Normal Family got its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, and since then, it has been invited to various international film festivals, including the Miami Film Festival, Filmfest DC, Fribourg International Film Festival, as well as the upcoming Udine's Far East Film Festival.
Adapted from the international bestseller "The Dinner" by Herman Koch, A Normal Family tells the story of two brothers, holding differing beliefs, who unexpectedly come across a dreadful secret. It casts Sol Kyung Gu, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Hee Ae, and Kim Su Hyun (aka Claudia Kim) in the lead roles.
